We used to go to "Maus im Mollers" in Mainz a few times and had wanted to visit the Sandhof for a long time. Now it was finally time. You can probably only come with a reservation, which is understandable for this restaurant. The ambience is very pleasant in a beautifully restored, historic building. As expected, the food was very tasty. We still knew the unusual greeting from the house from Mainz. Basically, the menu was “down to earth” at a high level with relatively large portions. The 4-course menu with soup was too much for our stomachs. I would have liked more selection of open wines. The menu offers a lot of wines, but mostly only whole bottles. This is too much for 1 person (driver). In terms of price, you have to expect 50 euros or more per person. Overall, highly recommended
