I ordered before 10 p.m. via Lieferando and the order and payment via PayPal went smoothly. After some time, an email came from Lieferando that the order had to be canceled, no reasons were given. It was now after 10 p.m., but I was still able to order from another provider. Today I called the pizzeria to find out the reason for the cancellation. I was told that if there was less customer traffic, they would close earlier and therefore an order would be canceled. As a solution, I was recommended to call the restaurant before ordering. Why do I need PayPal then? It would be easier if it was clear during the ordering process whether the order can be carried out, then you wouldn't need an unnecessary payment order to PayPal and no amount would have to be returned.
