It's been a long time since we visited the Tarragon again due to the Frankfurt City Events' "Autumn Gourmet Weeks" campaign and were extremely positively surprised. Starting from the pumpkin-carrot-ginger soup, the triangles with crayfish, to the Wagyu sirloin steak, everything was perfect. The steak was tender, but still with a “bite” and cooked to medium rare, and was a delight. Only the dessert, the mixed cheese platter, should have been taken out of the refrigerator a little earlier so that the taste and aroma of the cheese would not be distorted by the cold. The very full seating and, above all, the smokers who often walked past our table outside were a bit annoying. Overall, however, a successful evening that we will definitely repeat. Unfortunately, we had two people at the table next to us who were "professional complainers" and who described the wonderful Wagyu sirloin steak as "inedible" to the service, which was simply inappropriate given the quality of the meat and almost an impertinence.

Popular restaurant, small portions, OK southern France inspired food mixed with French tourist restaurant classics. Wide choice of offal on a special menu in addition to the asparagus specials on the night.

This bistro has only a few tables and has always been full in the evenings for decades. Why? Are the guests classy or is it the host? His name is Thomas Valk.

We have been there on 30 of April and really enjoyed the restaurant. The food and atmosphere was amazing but this restaurant isn’t for people in rush

France in the heart of Frankfurt, and with real flavor! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I was in a small bistro in Strasbourg: wood, charm, service speaking French – très sympathetic! I started with a cream of asparagus soup. A bit salty, but hey, maybe that was the Alsatian sea breeze. Then came the highlight: chicken in Riesling sauce with wild garlic spaetzle. Tender, aromatic, and so beautifully presented. To finish: rhubarb crumble. Warm, crispy, fruity – pure dessert bliss. The only downside: finding a parking space is a bit of a walk (Opera Tower, about 500m). But after the crumble, maybe not so bad after all. Conclusion: top-notch taste, charming atmosphere, warm service. "Like God in France with a Frankfurt address."

Very good food with good portions! The landlord Bruno gave us very good recommendations for food and drinks and we liked everything very much :)
