I was very satisfied; the lamb was of top quality and very well prepared; the service was also very friendly and attentive.

Small restaurant located directly at Neustadt-Böbig train station. The reservation was uncomplicated by phone, with a friendly reception in the inn, which looked rather inconspicuous from the outside. Since my visit took place in February, the much-vaunted beer garden was not an option. The light colors make the furnishings look modern, but a bit cool (see photo). The service is quick and very friendly. The menu can be described as home-style with a regional touch. There is a regular menu with a decent amount as well as additional daily specials. The range extends from schnitzel/fries to solid fish dishes; when I visited, the daily specials were also meat-heavy. Decent selection of open Palatinate wines at reasonable prices. The "Drei Engel" is not a hip, trendy restaurant; guests can expect a slightly classic, somewhat conservative menu. The quality and the price-performance ratio are right; If you want to eat well and unpretentiously, this is the right place for you.

The hamburgers weren't great in terms of taste. They were also served on a paper base, which dissolved very quickly, so you constantly had the feeling that you were eating paper. The absolute lowest point, however, was that the tray slipped out of the boss's hand while serving the drinks, two beers and a coke were broken, and I got a lot of the liquid, and my shoes, pants, sweater and jacket were messed up. There was no apology and certainly no serious compensation. He just wanted to deduct the children's ice cream (€4) from the bill (€96). Ridiculous. I had the strong feeling that making money was more important than caring for the well-being of the guests, in this case myself. Even if you have a monopoly position on the campsite, you don't have to treat your guests so disrespectfully. In my opinion, this bistro is not recommended.
