We've been going to The Grand in Ahrenshoop for many years, but each year we're more and more disappointed. This time it started right from the moment we arrived: no warm welcome, no "how was your journey," just a "name" thrown into the mix. The hotel's location is sensational, but on closer inspection the building itself is unfortunately showing its age. This year we were most disappointed by the Seaside hotel restaurant. The quality of the food was completely out of keeping with the price, and the service was abysmal. Constructive criticism was unfortunately not accepted and was merely laughed at. The one thing that has stood the test of time over all these years is the service at breakfast. The staff are always attentive, warm, and friendly - it's a shame this can't be replicated throughout the hotel.

Friends of ours had reserved a table for two for May 2nd, 2025, which was easily expanded to 4 seats upon request. So we were able to enjoy a wonderful evening in the restaurant. The ladies had a wonderful sense of humor, and so it turned out to be a very entertaining and funny, but above all a very enjoyable evening. What the kitchen conjured up on the plate was more than worth the price. Chapeau. Thank you very much for this entertaining and extremely enjoyable evening with you.

Nice little shop with regional specialties and friendly staff. We were allowed to heat the porridge for our baby and feed him here. The coffee was tasty too.

A fantastic sunset over the sea, professional and friendly service and fantastic food. I liked the rabbit best. Also worth a visit in winter, as the interior is beautifully designed and you can also watch the sunset from there.
