Absolutely recommended! The food simply tastes great. The staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is rustic, but goes very well with German cuisine. Whenever I'm in Halle I have to visit the red house at least once.

I celebrated my 20th birthday there, everything went great, the buffet (food) was very delicious and the staff were super friendly, great service and just really nice and funny. Highly recommended.
