Zur Wassermühle Krosigk in Petersberg

It was my first time here and I was immediately very impressed by the cozy atmosphere.

The two of us stopped by for lunch on Sunday and, thanks to the friendly waitress, got a spot at a table where an older couple was already sitting. Otherwise, it was really busy, but it was spread out thanks to the three floors. It was cozy and there was plenty to look at. The three waitresses were very nice and quickly took our drinks and food orders and brought them promptly. Quite an achievement, considering we had to take the stairs for everything, and the waitresses only had two hands. The coffee was hot, although quite strong and a bit bitter, but still acceptable. The food arrived nicely presented in a pan with some "decorative" salad.

Really good food at reasonably reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends. Parking is available, but it can get crowded during peak times.

Hikers, cyclists, or those with mobility issues, if your journey takes you to Krosigk or nearby, be sure to visit the watermill, especially the restaurant in this historic building. We were greeted by friendly waitresses, served delicious food, and had a great time celebrating our family reunion. We'll definitely be back!

Whenever we visit my mother-in-law, we eat here. The atmosphere is cozy, the prices are fair, and the food is always plentiful and delicious. I would especially like to mention the friendliness of the two waitresses. We feel welcome here.

A wonderful ambiance, beautifully situated in the forest. Very quiet and relaxing. It's a place where you can unwind. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food is expensive, but it's excellent, with generous portions that fill you up, and the food tastes delicious. I would go back anytime and recommend it to anyone in the area.

We were there with friends on a summer Saturday and had made a reservation in advance. We had a very comfortable outdoor seating. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. As we left, we were able to take another look inside the restaurant and the registry office. Everything was very well maintained. A visit that was absolutely worth it.

The outdoor area is a great place to stop for a bite to eat. Unfortunately, the mill closes at 4:00 PM. If you'd like to stop for lunch, it's a good idea to order!

We wanted to come for lunch together, but unfortunately, that didn't happen. According to the signs, we were told to report to the main entrance. No friendly hello, just a dismissive "No." Meaning, we can't rate the food. The two waitresses were totally unfriendly and clearly didn't want to have any customers! We won't try dining here again!

Walked 4.5 hours to eat here as a halfway hiking stop. Arrived to find it busy but with at least 10 tables free. Asked in fluent German if they had room and was told no with a straight face. Explained how far I’d walked and they didn’t care. Nearest restaurant is 2.5 hours away. Don’t even think about coming here if you’re not local. Zero empathy. Zero.

Surprise! The food was very good. The restaurant is quite rustic, somewhat sporadic, surrounded by large trees. The service is fast and polite. At this time of year, the restaurant would benefit from a few splashes of color on or near the tables. The whole ambiance would be perfect when the new mill wheel is squeaking around again and the water is babbling in your ears. 😉👍 Bottom line: fresh forest air, peace and quiet, and good food!

Not welcome as cyclists - we only wanted to have a beer and were turned away, saying everything was reserved even though there were a few chairs available - unfriendly - no service mentality - never again.

I was there for Mill Day, Whit Monday. The new paddle wheel is turning. It's a nice place for sports, like table tennis and volleyball. Rackets and other equipment are available in a box.

I hadn't been to the Wassermühle in a while, which was obviously my fault. I was all the more surprised that you can still get a delicious schnitzel dish there for under €20. The service was quick and very friendly, but the girls have always been that way. All in all...highly recommended!

Went by bike today, unfortunately the service was completely overwhelmed. We just wanted something to drink, not even something to eat, as we hadn't made a reservation. The statement was made that everything was reserved, even though there were no “reserved” signs to be seen. It's a shame, we've never been treated like that before. I had the feeling that no one here wanted to earn anything, even if we had just had a drink.

Rustic, rural, nice for trips in good weather. The menu is very extensive. Something for every taste. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was rural and cool. In summer it is possible to sit outside. Of course I'll try that out. All in all, worth recommending.

Today I was able to get a picture of the Krosigk water mill for myself. There is a plentiful selection of food. The portions are decent and the price is completely ok. The service is very friendly and the ambience is great. I can't understand the bad reviews at all. Will definitely come back.

I ordered warm food for a family celebration at home. We were able to pick up the food on time and it was well packaged for transport. The selection was as discussed and the quantity was more than sufficient. Everyone really enjoyed the food! We like to pick up food here again or come to the restaurant to eat.

We wanted to inquire about a wedding party, but before we could ask, we were abruptly interrupted with "We have to have some time off!" and the phone hung up without a conversation being made. Very unfriendly!

Old water mill, unfortunately no longer in operation, with some old technology that can be viewed. Quaint and rustic atmosphere, but not barrier-free, German food very good, service fast, diligent and friendly. Outdoor seating in summer. Parking lot in the immediate vicinity.

The water mill in Krosigk is an institution in the Halle area and a tip for excursions if you have family visiting. The staff is extremely friendly towards guests, both young and old, and open to small special requests. The food is home-style in the best sense of the word, super tasty and more than filling. The schnitzel variations are all highly recommended. We'd love to come back. The area surrounding the restaurant also invites you to linger and take a walk. In addition to the large playground right next door, there is also the opportunity to visit the historic mill nearby.

Hello, we have always enjoyed visiting your house over the last two decades. Unfortunately, your service has become so poor that we will no longer be returning to you in the future. I think it's acceptable that restaurateurs need to make money given the many problems they have. However, it's not okay for me that at Christmas time the watermill is filled to the brim with people and you get the impression that you're just a paying subject. We got there 15 minutes before the agreed time because we had a table reservation for two people for yesterday. We were turned away because the first group of guests had not yet left the location. My mother, who is 86 years old, had to sit outside in the cold, wet weather. After ten minutes she was very cold so we decided to leave. Despite all the insight into the problem you have: you want to go out to eat in order to enjoy and spend time with your family in a relaxed manner. However, if I feel like I am just a paying subject, then I will no longer host parties or come over for dinner with my family in the future. I still wish him good luck in the future, but perhaps this criticism is something to think about. I understand that they are struggling with many problems, be it the lack of staff or the high cost of electricity. But if the guests are only seen as goods that have to bring in sales, I'm sorry. I don't understand why I have to refrain from your offer in the future. Nevertheless, I wish you a happy new year.

We had an appointment for Christmas dinner with the family at 11:00 a.m. Were there on time. After about 20 minutes, we placed our drinks and food orders. Time slot specified by the restaurant at the end of 1 p.m. Highlight = food arrived at 12:40 p.m. The waiter appeared at 12:58 p.m. with the request to pay the bill and make room for the second round. No Christmas feeling.

The history of the watermill in Krosigk goes back to the Middle Ages. There was evidence of one as early as the 15th century, and it is quite likely that this mill was on the old road between Krosigk and Kaltenmark... This was badly damaged and restored several times, but in 1679 the manor owner gave it up after it was destroyed again after the Thirty Years' War. He sold it to a Löbejüner and it wasn't until 1893 that they got it back... Today it is primarily a monument. A restaurant in the mill and the local mill association ensure its preservation. A mill museum was also set up... The restaurant is idyllically located and has a pleasant outdoor area on warm days. The service is friendly, quick and accommodating, even to small children. The dishes are freshly prepared, hearty and extremely tasty... A visit that is worth it several times over. Highly recommended!

Great ambience and the good weather invited you to eat outside. A reservation is recommended. The service was on the ball and always saw when you needed something. We didn't have to wait long for the food, which tasted good. The portions were sufficient and the plate was nicely presented. Parking spaces are available.

We came here without making an appointment based on a recommendation and barely managed to get a table (so book in advance!). It was absolutely worth it! Sitting outside is very pleasant, everything is surrounded by trees or covered. Water bowl for dogs available. We received a very friendly welcome. The food was very tasty and attractively prepared - everything was freshly prepared! Plus top price/performance ratio. We are very happy to recommend it.

Four of us came here on Saturday evening after making a reservation. The reception was very friendly. Despite the fact that there were many guests there, we were able to choose between several places. Shortly after we sat down, we received the cards and were able to choose the drinks. They then came quickly. Despite our many special requests, all the dishes came very quickly and were presented very attractively!! All dishes were extremely tasty, freshly prepared and left no room for criticism!! Again, big praise to the service team. We'll definitely be happy to come back. P.S. On August 10th😉😉

Totally disappointed! Went on a spontaneous bike ride. We were turned away with the message that we hadn't ordered and nothing was available. There were still 3 large tables free. And it wasn't overcrowded either... Totally incomprehensible!

We always enjoy coming here. The food is always excellent and you can taste that it is cooked with love. The service is excellent. The service ladies always work with a smile and are very quick, even when the restaurant is full. The mill is beautifully located, you can sit outside or in the restaurant. The menu is varied and special requests are catered for if you express them in advance when ordering. If possible 10/10 stars. 😍

We were able to take our seats outside due to the summer temperature. The friendly waitress immediately came and asked what drinks we wanted, which were served immediately. We didn't have to wait long for the food, even though there were numerous guests present. Despite the stress, the service staff were always friendly and had kind words to say. The food was absolutely delicious, well prepared, hot and freshly prepared, and the kitchen deserves great praise for that. We can only recommend the location and will definitely come back.

We went to Krosigk for the first time to eat with our friends at the Wassermühle on Wednesday. The meals were tasty and well prepared. The girls (service) were very busy, the restaurant was fully occupied, in the outdoor area, and were friendly, polite and courteous. Price-performance ratio is okay. We will come back
