The owner cooks all basic dishes vegan and buys locally. That makes it very special. I think it's great that you can get so many things vegan in what is actually "typical" German cuisine. He also talked a lot about how he prepares the things and how he came up with them. The restaurant is not open regularly - so you have to call and reserve in advance. Then it opens and you can have lunch there, for example 😊

Super leckeres Essen am Schnitzeltag. Die Schnitzel waren zart, groß und köstlich. Die Beilagen viel und lecker. Das Bier hat ebenfalls geschmeckt. Der Preis war völlig in Ordnung und bedient wurde man ausreichend gut.

Unfortunately, as I have now seen, the restaurant is closed after the "plague" that they tried to inflict on us. It's a shame, it was very nice there and the kitchen was great.

I ordered “Krüstchen with fried egg” and got “Krüstchen” on the fried egg (burnt egg). When I was clearing up I said to the waiter that the cooks could eat the burnt eggs themselves. What makes good waiters: say sorry and ask if the guest would like a new egg or something. What is the waiter doing at Wilde Ente? Laugh in my face and say, “That’s crunchy.” I would never eat here again. Maybe have a drink, Seilersee is beautiful and quiet.
