We stopped by while hiking. The staff were cheerful and enthusiastic about their work. Delicious pea soup and mettwurst. Good coffee. Rustic charm. We'd gladly return.

Wir haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Netter Service, leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis und gemütliche Räumlichkeit.

Wir sind nach einem Sonntagsausflug durch Zufall dort eingekehrt und haben auch einen Platz bekommen, was vor einem Jahr nicht gelang. Da wurden wir abgewiesen, weil angeblich kein Platz frei war. Nichts desto trotz wurden wir jetzt freundlich begrüßt und man wies uns einen Tisch zu, fragte uns nach Getränken und reichte uns die Speisekarte. Was uns in der Karte auffiel, war das man auch etwas für den kleinen Hunger bekam. (Seniorengrößen). Finde ich persönlich besser, als das man Essen auf dem Teller lässt und es dann vernichtet werden muss. Wir bestellten ein Weizenbier und ein Pils Cola. Alles zum normalen Preis! Da bin ich an der Küste der Niederlande anderes gewohnt. Aus der Karte bestellten wir ein Schnitzel Hawaii (Senior) und einmal Sülze mit Remoulade und Bratkartoffeln. Das Schnitzel war eben ein Schnitzel und nichts wo man sagt "da muss ich unbedingt nochmal hin". Die Sülze allerdings war "sehr gut" und wie ich vermutete und meine Nachfrage es dann auch bestätigte "selbst gemacht". Genauso die Remoulade, einfach lecker. Die Bratkartoffeln hingegen waren einfach nur schlecht! Sie waren nicht kross und geschmacklos. Ich hatte eher die Vermutung das sie eingefroren waren, in der Mikrowelle aufgetaut und anschließend einmal durch die Pfanne geschwenkt wurden. Also hier muss der Koch nochmal in die Lehre gehen. Im Großen und Ganzen war es vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ok.

Essen empfehlenswert, gut gekühlte Getränke. Freundlicher Service.

Eher etwas für ältere, konservative Mitbürger. Wer hier vom Wandern kommt und mit sauerländer Gastfreundlichkeit rechnet, ist fehl am Platz. Das Essen war ok, aber übersteigt nicht das Level einer Pommesbude. Nichts für Eltern mit kleineren Kindern, nichts für Menschen mit Gehbehinderungen!

Heute Abend haben wir uns mit einem befreundeten Pärchen von Dortmund Berghofen auf den Weg nach Iserlohn zum Gasthaus Schälk gemacht um die gute Küche mal auszuprobieren und einen schönen Abend zu verbringen. Dort angekommen standen wir vor verschlossenen Türen obwohl wir uns auf der Webseite über die Öffnungszeiten informiert hatten..... Schade..... Die Webseite scheint nicht auf dem aktuellen Stand zu sein. Wir haben uns dann für ein anderes Restaurant entschieden und hatten auch dort einen netten Abend bei sehr gutem Essen.

Das Essen war geschmacklich gut, leider stimmen die Preise nicht mit den im Internet gezeigten Preisen überein (Die Preise waren tatsächlich höher), was wir nicht gut finden, da der Kunde irregeführt wird. Das Personal war überwiegend freundlich.

Es ist halt ein Ausflugslokal, wie man es von früher kennt. Das Essen ist schmackhaft, die Einrichtung rustikal, die Preise moderat und der Service westfälisch. Alles okay, hier kann man bei einer Wanderung gut einkehren.

Zu zweit dort an einem Sonntagabend gegessen. Freundlicher Empfang durch das Theken- und Service-Personal. Das Lokal ist gut besucht. Wir wählten das "Schnitzel mit Zwiebelkruste" und den "Gemüseteller". Zu Ersterem: die Bratkartoffeln waren etwas blass und die "Kruste" entpuppte sich als Belag aus gewürfelten Zwiebeln mit einer Ei-/Käsedecke, die wohl kurz unter dem Grill gestanden hatte. Insgesamt aber sehr lecker, auch der gemischte Beilagensalat überraschte mit tollen Aromen. Der Gemüseteller überzeugte nicht ganz, manche Gemüsesorte war schlicht zu lange gegart worden. Der Chef hat offensichtlich in seinem Revier - der Küche - seine besonderen Stärken und Qualitäten; im Umgang mit Gästen wirkt er häufig "muffig". Alles in allem war es ein preis-wertes Abendessen, wir werden wiederkommen!

Wir waren mit mehreren personen zum Weihnachtsessen dort. Jeder hat etwas Anderes bestellt. Alle waren mit dem Essen zufrieden. Normale Preise, normale Portionen. Es werden auch kleinere Partionen ( für Rentner ) angeboten.
