Located in the heart of the old town, but in a quieter side street, the restaurant combines tradition and modernity. The food is good, home-style with a modern touch and seasonal daily recommendations. They have the best schnitzel here, I promise. The prices are fair, the audience is mixed from young to old. Both the party people who want to eat in advance as well as the "silver surfers" and business people. The outside area is casual (see photos). I think it's brilliant that the restaurateur (Christoph Söhnel) also took over the burgers from my former favorite burger restaurant (Stier Royal). By the way, there is a small boutique hotel above with just a few rooms. Very few people know this and you can still call it an “insider tip”.

Good food and drink, good cuisine with a large selection and plenty of food, good conditions, good service, nice excursion destination for the whole family with children, playground for children, enough parking spaces, wheelchair-accessible entrance. The area invites you to take a walk. Weddings and birthdays are also celebrated there.

This was the second time we've been to Hausmann's after Prowein. An absolute disaster. Sure, there's a lot going on at the end of a trade fair, but you know the date a year in advance. Then you should either close part of the restaurant if you don't have any staff, or upgrade it. We arrived at 6 p.m., the empty tables were littered with dishes and trash, and it took 20 minutes for someone to appear and take our order. 3 beers, schnitzel, burgers and meatballs. But it takes half an hour if you want schnitzel was the waiter's answer. That was okay with us. After half an hour the beer came. The wrong one because a new barrel had to be tapped, otherwise we would have waited another 20 minutes. We waited 1.5 hours for the food and then told the waiter that we had to go to the gate. We left the restaurant hungry. No apology, nothing. Completely underground service. I will definitely never set foot in this restaurant again. A shame for Düsseldorf Airport.

I went here for dinner with a few friends on the 3rd weekend of Advent. I would have left here again, but my friends wanted to stay here... Our Alster was missing the Sprite and only water came out because the syrup was empty, but we all got a new Alster. My vegetarian burger was just lukewarm, but I didn't feel like saying anything anymore... I found the employees to be very overwhelmed and stressed. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the "Schweinske".
