Hidden restaurant with very, very good home cooking! Friendly service. Also nice for family celebrations. Good price-performance ratio. Recommended.

On the one hand, very friendly service staff and despite the well-filled dining room, they also kept the time very well and in a nice atmosphere. On the other hand, the core of a restaurant is what it is the food. I may be spoiled in Berlin, but I only see 27 euros for three pieces of pork fillet as justified if the food is good. In detail, the meat was dry and the herb crust was just a seasoned breading that was also dry. The croquettes were ok, the broccoli was al dente and still OK. But both screamed for sauce and that was supposed to save the gorgonzola sauce. Only the chef knows why croquettes and herb crust are forced to marry with the Italian flair of Gorgonzola. In my opinion, a dark sauce would be more appropriate and please in sufficient quantities. But the restaurant has one plus point: if two people order the same thing, they are only charged once. From this point of view, you can exchange ideas together about what is on offer and at half the price your frustration with the food fades away. Unless you really want to eat delicious food and don't want to focus on money.

Celebrated a 70th there. Super delicious lunch. Various types of meat cooked to perfection with beautifully buttery mashed potatoes. Service super friendly and attentive. Tasteful furnishings. Can only recommend it.

We had an appointment there with 6 people on Boxing Day (December 26th, 2023) and had previously ordered a table that was not set when we arrived. The menu consisted of 5-6 dishes and the food supply was almost exhausted by 3 p.m. In any case, there were no fries with mayo and 1-2 other dishes. The food we ordered was somehow still scraped together, at least that's what it looked like on the plate later. The portions were small and it was definitely way too expensive. We paid around €360 for the boring meal + a few drinks. 360€!!! An unforgettable day. There was no Christmas spirit left. Even the effects of the drink were no longer in the mood and didn't affect us. If I had known this beforehand, I would have donated the money to a charitable organization instead of throwing it down the landlord's throat. Totally annoying! The toilets were dingy and outdated, like so much of the Adler. Workflows simply seemed unstructured and unprofessional. The waiter somehow made an effort and his overwhelm and discomfort were written all over his face, even though it was dead. At the same time, you could clearly observe the disappointed reactions and shaking of the heads of the other guests. Even an older woman passing by swore and told us about the store. Well, I'll leave it at this for now and won't go any further. Conclusion: A super unpleasant stay! We neither got full nor did we leave the store “happy and satisfied” - quite the opposite. Absolutely not recommended!

We have our Christmas party there every year and I'm there for breakfast every now and then. Top food and the service always has a crappy saying in store. Just a real corner pub with the charm of something special. Simple but cool...
