A restaurant in an old building. The food is very good and beautifully presented. Reservations are highly recommended, as tables are very popular. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The best part, though, is that if two people order the same meal, they only pay for one. We'll definitely be back.

It was our first time there. The food was very good, the service polite, and if we'd known that you get one free when you order the same dish, we would have. Both dishes we had were very good. You can and should go back a second time to try the other dishes.

It was okay. The price-performance ratio is only good if you take advantage of the 2 for 1 offer; otherwise, you'll pay almost 30 euros for a schnitzel with croquettes and a little sauce. The starters were tasty, though. The service and atmosphere were nice.

We stopped by the Leiterwagen Inn today in glorious October weather. The welcome in the lower restaurant area was very warm, and we were lucky to get a cozy table in one of the smaller rooms on the first floor, despite the large number of guests and no reservation. The service was friendly and always attentive to our needs. The food was delicious, and we even took advantage of the great "buy two meals for the price of one" offer. Thank you again to the entire team! We had a great time!

We went there for lunch today without booking, and it was exceptionally excellent and incredibly delicious. Great service, a great atmosphere, all around perfect.

The food and service were very good. We booked for 8 people (14 days in advance) by phone. The location is nicely decorated, and the staff was very friendly. The waiter took his time and gave us excellent advice. We had a vegan with us who was a bit of a challenge, and after intensive and patient consultations with the staff, they found something to eat for us. Everyone enjoyed the food, and we would gladly come back. Thank you for the culinary accompaniment to this evening.

We called spontaneously on a Sunday and got a table right away. The food was very good and the service excellent. We'd be happy to come back if we get a chance.

We both particularly enjoyed the option to order the same dish for two people and then pay only once. We did this and were extremely satisfied.

The food is very good, we have been here several times. As long as you don't annoy the staff, they are friendly. We asked for the bill and waited until she had cleaned the empty tables, but then she stood there and did nothing and just looked around. We were surprised. Then we called her again and asked if we would like our bill, please. We must have woken her up and that bothered her, then she came and said we have other guests. But that is not true, she just stood there and looked around and watched her colleagues taking their orders. It's a shame, the food is very good. But there is a lovely Greek restaurant nearby where the food is also excellent.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner on Saturday. We all enjoyed it very much. I had the goulash, and apart from the portion size, everything was perfect. The restaurant is large and spread over two floors. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We would gladly come back.

Unfortunately, we can't comment on the quality of the food or the ambiance, as we—two sisters with our elderly mother in a wheelchair—were ejected from the restaurant in an extremely arrogant and rude manner by a male server. The reason for this was the fact that we were carrying a closed (!) dog cart with three tiny furry friends. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant or on the terrace due to reportedly reported biting incidents. That may be true, and it's not really surprising given the way guests are treated, but treating guests like lepers is going too far! Whether with or without a dog... you won't see me there again, because I hate being treated like I have the plague!

I recently visited Leiterwagen with a few friends. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our tables. The drinks didn't take long to arrive, and our food orders were taken care of. A few people even made great recommendations that perfectly complemented the dishes. We started with the famous cheese salad – you can't miss it. All in all, we had a wonderful evening and would love to visit the place again!

Unfortunately, I experienced severe symptoms of food poisoning after the sea bream fillet dish (Mediterranean Weeks menu). I felt so sick that I had to report sick and stay in bed the entire next day! I suspect the herb pesto was the cause. I informed the management, but there was no response or words of apology.

I was here for the first time today and was thoroughly impressed. The restaurant is beautiful from the outside, and the interior, with all the wood and beams, is very cozy. The food was a feast for the palate, and the dessert, "warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream," was a dream. The service was very attentive and friendly.

Today we waited 50 minutes for our food. Guests who arrived after us received their food, and when we asked about our order, the waitress said they had ordered before us, which wasn't true. If an order goes wrong, you should own up to it, but playing me dumb isn't an option.

A highly recommended restaurant serving predominantly typical German cuisine, but also with a sufficiently large selection of fish and vegetarian dishes. The quality of the food is exceptionally good, and the service is prompt and friendly. Everything is comfortably furnished, although it can be a bit cramped for tall people and, due to the construction, has low ceilings. We would love to come back!

As with all our visits, yesterday we were completely satisfied again. Friendly staff and delicious food. The outdoor dining area is highly recommended; you can sit in a cozy, natural setting and enjoy your stay. Thank you for the wonderful visit; we'll be happy to come back.

The best restaurant in Bernau so far. Super friendly service and the steaks were truly tender. We both had the same dish and paid half price. Great idea. We'd go back. The only downside: the draft beer selection is a bit limited. I'd prefer a local beer instead of Radeberger.

A mixed experience at this restaurant; the food was truly delicious. The outdoor area has a lovely ambiance and appealed to us. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. One hour before closing, we were asked to place our "last order" and the chairs were arranged. It gave the impression that the restaurant was already shutting down. A shame! The food and the ambiance alone almost made up for it. Perhaps the restaurant should adjust its service to better serve guests and not make them feel unwelcome!!!!!! 3 out of 5 🌟

We reserved a table because it was a Saturday and the Hussite Festival was taking place in Bernau! The staff were super friendly and always asked if we needed anything. Delicious food and a very pleasant atmosphere. We sat outside and admired all the plants, but the interior is also very charming.

Never had such bad asparagus before, cold inside and not at all soft. The second time it was completely hot, so I burned my mouth completely, and it wasn't any better (softer). The chicken completely collapsed, and the potatoes were completely mushy... (it was only in the oven, after all) - I have to say the first time, the chicken was perfect, well, what a pity.

Fantastic food, a rustic atmosphere, and friendly, fast, and attentive service. The portions are generous (we had to undo our pants buttons afterward). We ordered a main course and two drinks for two people (dessert really, really didn't fit in our stomachs) and paid around €70. We'll definitely be back!

Highly recommended. We had the vegetable schnitzel with potatoes, broccoli, and hollandaise sauce. The sauce isn't heavy on the stomach at all, and it was a really nice and delicious meal.

I was there yesterday with my better half around 7:00 p.m. The restaurant was largely fully booked. However, we received a very warm welcome and, despite the many guests, also very relaxed. After maybe 5 minutes, one of the lovely and friendly service staff came up to us and offered us a table that had just become available on the upper floor. Up to that point, we had been quite enthusiastic about the efforts of the staff, and afterwards a gastronomic fireworks display was set off. We have rarely experienced such incredibly good service in combination with very tasty and reasonable prices in a restaurant. There are many good restaurants, but there are ones where you almost feel at home and the staff recognize your thoughts quicker than you do... I could go on and on for hours. Result: Great gastronomic cinema. Respect for this great achievement. Keep it up. We would be happy to come back and recommend

We came spontaneously and sat outside first. All the tables inside were reserved, but since we, with our small daughter, were a bit cold, the very attentive service staff seated us directly inside when the first table inside became free. Very attentive. The food was great (asparagus with schnitzel and potatoes). All three ingredients were really tasty and freshly made. Plus attentive service staff. So, everything was great all around and totally recommended!

We just wanted something to drink and were allowed to sit down for 30 minutes. We were also denied a choice of table despite there being only a few tables, so even if we feel like eating something, it's a shame that we won't come here again

I've known the ladder truck for years and there's something about the rustic ambience. Now my husband should also get to know the restaurant and so our trip went to Bernau on Sunday. We hadn't made a reservation and despite a lot of hustle and bustle in the cart and garden, we were kindly assigned a table inside and we were happy to be patient while eating. Thank you very much for that and the food was great!

We have been to the Ladderwagen Inn several times. We really like the atmosphere. Inside and outside too. The staff is very pleasant, funny, not intrusive. The range of food and drinks is very diverse. Tastes great! Very good value for money. However, bringing dogs is no longer permitted.
