January 2025. The Niederalm has had a new tenant for over a year. Bobby from Saalfelden. Formerly the innkeeper of Seewirt/Thumsee. An extremely friendly and passionate host who cares about the well-being of his guests. As was the case back then at Thumsee, the food is excellent, plentiful and fairly priced. 3 dedicated waiters ensure everything runs smoothly - even at peak times. Thumbs up and waida :-)

“Thanks, never again.” We had pre-booked. After about an hour of waiting with drinks at the table, I politely asked the waitress how long it would probably take. The answer was that this was not a fast food restaurant and we had not made a reservation. After I pointed out that we had made a reservation, the waitress was not very forthcoming and basically said that we should go somewhere else. We then paid for our drinks and left the restaurant without food. Afterwards I read other comments about this place. While there are positive reviews, negative experiences seem to regularly lead to unfriendly reactions from the operator. I think it's a shame that constructive criticism is not responded to with understanding, but rather with defense. Last night the inn left a short comment on my review, apparently trying to give the impression that the issue was closed. However, today this comment has been revised and I am now accused of spreading falsehoods. Since this is not the case, I feel compelled to add a few details to my review. There were five of us, and there are five witnesses to what happened. We behaved correctly during our stay and did not feel that our behavior gave rise to this treatment. What was noticeable, however, was that other guests who came later received their food while we left empty-handed. One point that struck me later: there were Ukrainian speakers in our group. I can't and don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but I noticed that in another comment from a woman from the Ukraine, negative insinuating statements were made by the owner of the restaurant. I hope that this is just an unfortunate coincidence and not a deliberate rejection of certain groups of people. However, if there is a pattern, that would be very worrying in my opinion. I would like to emphasize that my account of events is true. I find the fact that I am now indirectly accused of spreading untruths to be inappropriate and disrespectful. Finally, I would like to advise the restaurant to focus more on dealing with guests instead of wasting energy on fending off unpleasant comments.
