We don't understand the good reviews. Why we give it stars is the friendliness and the pretty pond. But everything else was underground. We had a dish of the day three times (schnitzel with scrambled eggs, bacon and fried potatoes), the entire meal was practically unseasoned, there were no salt and pepper shakers for seasoning, a sauce was made on the schnitzel that was thick like pudding and didn't taste at all (reminiscent of ready-made sauce for mixing that had been warmed up several times), fried potatoes weren't the least bit crunchy, just floury and didn't taste like anything. Schnitzel not crispy at all. The breading stuck to the plate. There was also a children's meal (fish fingers with fries), completely frozen. The service was friendly, but extremely overwhelmed. Our empty glasses, which in my opinion were not 200 ml but less, were completely ignored. Sometime after we had eaten, a waiter came and asked if we wanted anything else. Drink orders and ice cream orders were taken, but the dishes were not cleared away. At some point ice arrived that had so many ice crystals that it can be assumed that it had been thawed several times. The drinks came when we wanted to pay, but were still charged. And there was hardly any carbon dioxide in the drinks. The strawberries we ordered were missing from the ice cream, one ice cream only had 2.5 scoops instead of 3. Some of the chairs were broken, which even the stained, holey and sagging cushions couldn't hide. The women's toilets had brown streaks, so they should use harsher cleaning agents to get rid of this. The floor of the men's toilets was sticky and there was no soap. The small play area was completely unkempt, overgrown lawn with weeds and lots of anthills, dirty seating, including a glass table that looked really milky. Definitely the service, the ambience and especially the food are in no comparison to the price. We won't be coming back.

We have now been to the Gutsscheune Schwemsal twice and would love to be here again at any time. Once as a guest at a friends wedding. And because we liked the location so much, we quickly chose it for our own wedding. Everything was to our absolute satisfaction. Starting with the planning, there are a lot of ideas that can be implemented, from decoration to room layout to food. Carina also helped us a lot with her experience in wedding planning. There is enough space outside for a lovingly designed wedding ceremony, for games or seating. The barn itself is very modern with everything you need, and is also barrier-free for wheelchair users. Everything is lovingly furnished. The staff is very friendly, helpful and quick. At the buffet, dishes are also freshly prepared if a meal is in short supply. There was plenty of choice here for adults and children, for vegans/vegetarians and meat lovers. Everything was consistently very tasty. Our guests also spoke very highly of the manor barn. We hope to visit here again soon. See you soon and we wish you lots of success, a great time and many satisfied guests!

Excellently located and run by a friendly and very attentive small family business. Our room including shower was very good and the breakfast buffet and evening selection left nothing to be desired. For cyclists like us, there is an extra garage for storage including battery charging options. Conclusion: We felt very comfortable - many thanks to the Hänisch@ family

Went on a bike tour and stopped there. Were not disappointed again. Tasted great, everything was freshly prepared.

For us again and again. Friendly staff, great food. Always fresh, not prepared days or hours in advance. You feel comfortable here. And the pancakes are simply delicious. Had a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration. Thanks again to the boss and the entire staff.

🔥 Best kebab in Pouch – what would we do without it?! Luckily there is this shop in the Pouch – otherwise it would really be a drama! 😅 Super friendly employees, always a nice conversation and a really good kebab, especially if the boss makes it himself. Everything freshly prepared, exactly what you need when you get hungry. Particularly brilliant for me: just walk there with the dogs, get a kebab and enjoy the moment by the lake. 🐶🥙 This snack bar is a real asset to the area - please stay forever! ❤️🔥

We spontaneously went there for dinner with 4 people on May 2nd, 2025. After a very friendly waitress greeted us, we also received a very tasty meal, which is also a compliment to the kitchen. All highly recommended. Keep it up.
