What should be highlighted is the really delicious food, big compliments to the kitchen, we had no complaints at all. Aaaab, that was the messiest dinner we've had so far. We were there with our friends and it all started with a beer, which was supposed to be a shandy. Then we continued with swapped food, not bad, you can swap back. But when our friends had completely different dishes on their plates than what they had ordered, we no longer found it funny. The crowning finale was a desired dessert, the menu was also brought... unfortunately we didn't find any dessert there. All in all it was still a very nice evening, albeit very chaotic, there should be room for improvement!

I was there yesterday on my pilgrimage and received an incredibly warm welcome. Even though the kitchen had already closed 10 minutes ago, they still cooked something especially for me - that's true service! The homemade vegetarian schnitzel was by far the best I've eaten so far. The cream sauce with mushrooms, the homemade hash browns and the fresh salad were a poem - everything fresh, lovingly prepared and very filling. I was able to take the rest with me, perfectly packaged. The Spanish wine was also excellent and topped it off. I would particularly like to highlight the friendly and courteous staff – simply great! All in one: a culinary experience with star potential. I can only warmly recommend it and will come back to Freudenberg especially for it. Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Ambience: 5/

Too bad! During our detour to Freudenberg we were thrilled by the closely spaced, crooked and historic half-timbered houses, the town and the alleys are packed with history and stories, really worth a day trip. We wanted to have a coffee and a piece of cake in the time-honored restaurant “Knoten”. The landlady obviously did not understand the importance of this historic and perhaps listed house in this location; a decoration like in a youth hostel, our table runner dingy and stained, there are still crumbs and leftover sugar on the table from our predecessor, the window sill with cobwebs and dead animals. We were greeted by a waitress who was not rude but clearly unmotivated (we were initially the only guests). The latte macchiato we ordered was not a latte macchiato and the latte was not a latte. We were both served the same brown liquor - one in a glass and the other in a cup. We decided not to eat the cake when we saw that the table next to us was given a ready-made base with pineapple. The stairs down to the toilet were so sticky under my soles that I wondered when the last place was wet mopped. On the way out we wanted to look at the display case with the menu: yellowed and wavy paper - probably not updated for a long time. Gastronomy can be fun and make the heart happy. You often want to come back. In this case not. My tip for those in charge of this restaurant: try to gain a foothold in another industry.

Really nice and good service can only be recommended. The food was also great.

The pizza was very good, the owner brought it to us in an Audi Q8 30 minutes after the scheduled delivery, but I still recommend it.

While my food was being prepared, Sven storms out of the kitchen and prefers to mow the lawn... if I hadn't just left, I would still be standing there now.
