UPDATE:
The shop is now called differently *DAMAS SNACK* (probably Damascus/Syria) and has changed the operator.
Unfortunately I couldn't give 0⭐e and this was the result:
On May 1st, 2022 in the evening - I waited about 10/15 minutes for me to be served (even though there was only 1 customer to be served before me).
Then, suddenly, a customer who spoke Arabic appeared and was promptly served before me (& the other customers)...
It didn't seem to bother them and so they had a fun chat together in their native language - really lovely!
After thinking about it for a while, I came to the conclusion that I didn't want to become a customer here now or in the future and left this place - that's not possible...!
P.S.
This shop hasn't existed for a long time!
In the meantime there have already been 2 new openings!
Currently closed again!
Vor dem Rheinpavilion, Rathenauufer 1, Nordrhein-Westfalen
The rain surprised us. The Flammbar was just right for us. The nostalgic building had an (almost) all-round view on the first floor and reminded me of my youth as a railway hobbyist.
We were able to sit at the table with other guests and wait with tarte flambée and drinks until it was dry again.
We visited here twice for dinner.
The food tastes very tasty.
We had pizza, salad and Jägerschnitzel.
The service is great and the staff is always friendly and accommodating (especially to our children).
After dinner we were able to play at the dart machine.
We were also given tips for our Düsseldorf trip.
In short:
We were very satisfied and can recommend the restaurant.
It's a little far from the city center, so I don't go there often, but it's very delicious.
Japanese food in Düsseldorf is mainly served by German customers, and as a Japanese person, I often find the taste a bit off-putting, but here you can enjoy Japanese soba.
I think it's worth the effort.
I discovered the cigkögte in this restaurant and I was not disappointed. The staff was lovely and the food affordable and delicious. The platter for two people is very generous, you can choose between a spicy or mild version (we did half and half). The restaurant is very clean! I recommend 100%.
A very original building in the center of Dusseldorf. A multi-level green pyramid, which makes an ordinary location in the shopping district of the city interesting.
Food and drinks at a good price/performance ratio. Gladly again. I would particularly like to mention the service, from the telephone reservation to payment at the end of the visit. Very committed and customer-oriented, it would be nice if it were like that everywhere.
At the time of writing this review, this pizza shop has a 4.9. This rating seems completely exaggerated.
Atmosphere: it's more of a delivery service, there is a table on site. The furnishings are old and not very stylish.
Service: is ok.
Pizza: the base seems a bit dry, almost like a ready-made pizza. I was recently in a pizzeria in Ickern and you could tell that the dough was freshly made, crispy and fresh. No comparison to this.
The pizza tastes averagely good. There are 3 sizes: 20cm for around €7, 26cm for €10 and 30 for around €14.
I consider price-performance to be just acceptable.
Conclusion: it's ok but I don't get a recommendation
We were lucky that we got a table, booking in advance is probably recommended.
The staff is very nice and attentive and quickly let the air out of the glasses. Food top👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Price performance ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Highly recommended
