TCM "Das Sabani" in Mettmann

Excellent food with an extensive menu and a German schnitzel, just like they like to eat in Italy: thin meat, perfect sauce, and the perfect size. Friendly, fast service. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in the area.

We ate there today and unfortunately were very disappointed! I was looking forward to a pizza, but then I was told: "Unfortunately the pizza is out!". We found out from a young waitress (who couldn't help it) that she had been out for a week (!). We asked ourselves how this is possible in an Italian restaurant. The alternative taglierini with chanterelles were not seasoned at all and were swimming in fat (it gave me a stomach ache), the tagliatelle with salmon was also bland and only tasted like something if I added a lot of salt, and the salmon was dry. The house-style gratinated vegetables were manageable and not enough and were also swimming in fat. When it came to the children's portion of Viennese-style schnitzel with fries, the fries weren't enough and our son wasn't full. All in all very disappointing and not priced appropriately for the quality. Sorry but we can only award a few points. The chef and owner should please view our review as constructive criticism.

Genial... Sehr zu empfehlen... Es gab heute Gänsekeule, mit Rotkohl, Klößen und Bratapfel, einfach nur brutal lecker... Auch die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte, mediterran, genial... Kurzum, ein Muss...
