TCM "Das Sabani" in Mettmann

We were a group of 14 at the restaurant last night. It took 20 minutes before anyone bothered to take our drink orders. First came the wine, and after another 20 minutes, still not all the drinks had arrived, even though it was just beer. Then the real disaster began. We pre-ordered duck leg and breast eight times, then they kept asking, and after almost two hours, something edible finally arrived. The pizza was burnt, dirty underneath, and soggy in the middle. After asking again after two hours, the last duck breast finally arrived, and it didn't look very appetizing... Never again.

Great place with a great atmosphere and great food. Whether pizza, steak, or fish – it all tastes delicious. The Düsseldorf-style mustard roast was cooked perfectly medium and delicious. The salmon with vegetables was equally good. The salami was thin and tasty, and the salad with chicken breast was also delicious, with the meat being nice and juicy.

Excellent food with an extensive menu and a German schnitzel, just like they like to eat in Italy: thin meat, perfect sauce, and the perfect size. Friendly, fast service. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in the area.

We ate there today and unfortunately were very disappointed! I was looking forward to a pizza, but then I was told: "Unfortunately the pizza is out!". We found out from a young waitress (who couldn't help it) that she had been out for a week (!). We asked ourselves how this is possible in an Italian restaurant. The alternative taglierini with chanterelles were not seasoned at all and were swimming in fat (it gave me a stomach ache), the tagliatelle with salmon was also bland and only tasted like something if I added a lot of salt, and the salmon was dry. The house-style gratinated vegetables were manageable and not enough and were also swimming in fat. When it came to the children's portion of Viennese-style schnitzel with fries, the fries weren't enough and our son wasn't full. All in all very disappointing and not priced appropriately for the quality. Sorry but we can only award a few points. The chef and owner should please view our review as constructive criticism.

Wir kegeln und essen regelmäßig da...Bedienung und Essen top. Auch im Sommer auf der Terrasse immer sehr schön.

Genial... Sehr zu empfehlen... Es gab heute Gänsekeule, mit Rotkohl, Klößen und Bratapfel, einfach nur brutal lecker... Auch die gemischte Vorspeisenplatte, mediterran, genial... Kurzum, ein Muss...
