Christmas buffet on Christmas Day 2023, no starter soup, beef tough as leather, salad no dressing, schnitzel fried to death, far too little sauce, drinks only served once at the table, the rest was so okay, no wonder they filed for bankruptcy.

The Westerholter Kroog is centrally located in Westerholz in the direction of Scheeßel. It is a long-established inn with its own hall and bowling alley. The price-performance ratio is ok. The service staff is very friendly, approachable and competent. The kale tastes best there with all the trimmings. It's always worth it.

Super delicious food and even cooked ourselves. If you want to eat gluten-free, you have to make a reservation in advance and then you will be served something really tasty. 😋 We were there yesterday for the asparagus season, and my wife was finally able to eat without worrying. There is gluten-free asparagus soup in advance, salads with gluten-free dressing. They even made gluten-free potato croquettes that were incredibly delicious, and and and 😘. Everything was perfect and then at the end there was freshly homemade lemon cream and of course gluten-free. Thanks to the Ostenfeld family and team.

Very tasty buffet, it's best to come in the evening, where you can have your plate freshly fried with fish and meat. Very nice staff. The finished food at the buffet, such as curries or something like that, is not very tasty because it lacks the roasted aroma. So let it fry fresh and it tastes good.

We have been going to this restaurant off and on for years. So far we have always been very satisfied. However, we were very disappointed on our last visit. The food was, as always, very tasty. Our appetizer finally arrived an hour after we ordered. At neighboring tables, people who came much later and ordered were served very quickly and had their food long before we got it because they were probably regular customers. After the starter we had to wait another hour for the actual meal, so a total of 2 hours. The order was not received very friendly. When it came to drinks and dishes, they didn't even ask about the size, even though small and large were offered on the menu, and you then automatically got the large drink and food. We were about to pay for the starter and drinks and leave without the main course. The fact that other tables were brought forward and that you had to wait so long was outrageous.
