Die besten Restaurants in Regen

Am 4.1.2017 suchten meine Frau und ich nach dem Besuch des Landwirtschaftsmuseums ein Restaurant für einen Mittagsimbiss. Dabei stießen wir auf das Alsalam. Wir hielten es erst für einen Schnellimbiss (es hat eine Take-Away Theke), sahen dann aber drinnen gedeckte Tische mit Stoffservietten. Das wollte so gar nicht zu den wirklich niedrigen Preisen passen. Wir waren neugierig und verließen das Restaurant etwa eine Stunde später richtig glücklich. Wir haben zwei warme Vorspeisen bestellt (frittierte gefüllte Teigtaschen mit Füllung), die uns so überzeugten, dass wir noch eine Nachspeise dazu orderten, die einfach köstlich war (Osmlah, eine Art Topfen mit Honigkruste). Der Koch hat sein Metier ganz offensichtlich nicht in einer Kebab-Bude gelernt. Alles wurde frisch zubereitet und war wunderbar abgeschmeckt. Ein Gespräch mit dem Kellner ergab, dass das Restaurant erst vor wenigen Wochen von Syrern eröffnet worden ist. Im Urlaub essen wir gerne und vornehmlich die regionalen Speisen. Aber das war eine gelungene Abwechslung, die wir uneingeschränkt empfehlen können.

I ordered a kebab without spicy and got a kebab with a lot of spicy, he had repeated beforehand that I didn't want any spicy, then I was looking forward to my kebab and then my mouth burned like never before, that's just bad!!! With my friend who ordered a kebab with meat, salad and sauce, they also forgot the salad, but she recognized this earlier and said that the salad was missing, these employees can't remember anything!!!

The food was delicious. The service was very friendly, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated.

We drove to Regen specifically because of the seemingly large selection of vegetarian dishes. When I placed my order, the answer was "meat only." Too bad, the menu sounded promising.

Quaint pub with very friendly owners. Drinks and delicious food at fair prices. In summer there is also an outdoor terrace.

Nice and good middle-class inn. Very crowded on a Sunday, we had reserved in advance, otherwise it might not have worked out. We had Wiener Schnitzel and Sauerbraten. There was salad at the buffet. The food was ok, but didn't blow our minds. Schnitzel looked like an industrial product, not straight from the butcher. Sauerbraten a little too dry. All in all ok but we won't go there to eat again

Tap water for €5.60 and pizza didn't really taste good

We recently visited the restaurant and had mixed experiences. The El Greco platter was unfortunately disappointing - the meat was very tough and the tzatziki was completely forgotten. The gyros with cheese gratin was also anything but appetizing: the “cheese” was more reminiscent of a creamy, watery sauce, which even made two people sick. What should be highlighted positively, however, is the pike perch, which was excellently prepared and tasted convincing. The boss was accommodating afterwards and offered us drinks on the house - a friendly move that we really appreciated. Overall, the visit was mixed - with room for improvement, especially when it comes to the quality and care of some of the dishes.
