Very friendly service, the food was good. Great atmosphere.

The decor is as it used to be and cozy, and the staff is very friendly... however, the food leaves much to be desired! We had "spare ribs," which were actually small ham hocks... and "roast beef," which was a different cut of meat altogether... The sauce for the children's dumplings was almost inedible, and the mushrooms in the mushroom dish were so small you needed a magnifying glass to find them... In short: Anyone who remembers it from "the good old days" will be disappointed... perhaps the owner should concentrate on one location instead of five!

With the departure of the "old" owner, K. Weghofer, the quality also declined. It now seems that quantity has taken precedence over quality. For years, we've visited the Falter brewery inn during the autumn holidays. We were very surprised by the new menu and the information about the change of ownership. The new owner runs several restaurants in the area. The beer is of the usual Falter quality and beyond reproach, and the service was very attentive – absolutely top-notch! BUT... the food!!! We were a party of 13 and can probably offer an opinion, as we ordered quite a variety of dishes. Apparently – and this is just a guess – they're using convenience foods from large-scale kitchens (the veal schnitzel Viennese style, the red cabbage, the dumplings, the beef/goulash soup). In my opinion, the pork knuckle wasn't pre-cooked long enough, so there were centimeters of gelatinous fat under the crispy deep-fried crust. Conclusion. As much as I/we regret it, we will no longer be eating there in the future. It's truly appalling what customers are being served these days. What a shame about the Falter brewery inn. Goodbye!

We used to love eating here: down-to-earth, Bavarian, good. I also gave it 5 stars. We've now tried the inn under new management. SUMMARY: not satisfactory. Prices have gone up. The Wiener Schnitzel now costs just under 16 euros without salad. Salad used to be included with all meals, but now it costs 6 euros as a side dish. My wife had Käsespätzle for 15 euros. Too soft and not seasoned enough. I had a Böfflamott (a kind of beef ragu) for 23 euros. Too dry, and the sauce tasted rather artificial and like it came from a tube. I could only eat half. Sparkling water is served in a beer glass, which just doesn't fit. I think it will be a while before we come here for dinner again. My conclusion: I miss the previous tenant.

The food is delicious, and the kitchen is incredibly fast. We had two roasts with onions and stews, which went from ordering to serving in just seven minutes. I've never seen anything faster. Unbelievable 😲❤️‍🔥

Very good, typically Bavarian cuisine. In addition to classics like schnitzel with fries, there's a good and varied menu. Knuckle of pork and dumplings are prominent.

This week, we visited the Brauereigasthof for the first time in a long time. The food and service are absolutely top-notch; nothing has changed from before. The half knuckle of pork is perfectly adequate, for those wondering if it's enough. The price/performance ratio is 100% right. If we're ever in the Bavarian Forest again, we'll definitely be back.

Super friendly staff, the food was amazing, and according to my husband, the beer was delicious. There was even a live band singing cool Bavarian songs. A truly fantastic experience.

A beautiful place to enjoy a warm summer evening with delicious Zoigl beer and smoked meats. Unfortunately, it's only open Thursday evenings, but it's busy 😉 Very friendly staff, clean restrooms, plenty of parking, plenty of outdoor seating and some in the garden shed. Early arrival is recommended if you want to eat something. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

We went to the Pichelsteiner Festival in Regen. The Pichelsteiner stew was excellent. Lovely inn.

First, I'd like to say something positive. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helpful. The interior is clean, comfortable, yet dated. The roast beef was inedible. The meat was laced with tendon and so tough it was inedible. What a shame...

Rude waiter! When paying by card, it was not pointed out that a 10% tip would be deducted from the total! He received a tip of €6.31, which we would never have given under normal circumstances!!! What a disgrace!!! Once and never again!

Die Bedienung war nett und sehr bemüht. Leider war es für uns kein Essensvergnügen. Kalbshaxe mit Dunkelbiersoße und Knödel. Essen wurde weniger als lauwarm gebracht, anstandslos ausgehoben und warmes Essen gebracht. Fleisch trocken, Knödel hart und leider auch noch mit wenig Geschmack. Als Entschuldigung zum Schluss ein Schnaps kredenzt, ersetzt aber leider kein gutes Essen.

Cozy atmosphere, excellent cuisine, staff also speaks Czech. Definitely one of the best places in the Bavarian Forest where you can eat well. In summer there is a possibility of a garden under the chestnut trees, no umbrellas, so a bit of romance🍀 I definitely recommend visiting this establishment. It also offers accommodation.

Rustic brewery restaurant in the center of Regen. The atmosphere in the large dining room has something of a train station restaurant. The service was very attentive and friendly. The quality of the food can be improved, but corresponds to the prices.

We came here spontaneously after a hiking trip. The service was super friendly and very quick. The food was incredibly delicious from starters to dessert. We'll definitely be back. Unfortunately we can't judge what the rooms are like because we were only in the restaurant.

First class food and outstanding service. Today we were guests at the Falter brewery inn for the second time during our vacation. The food was really excellent. Friendly staff. Cozy beer garden, even if it is right on the street. Hardly any waiting time. The onion roast was great. I forgot to take a photo of the side salad. Highly recommended. Today we had the grill plate and the mixed roast pork. Both absolutely great.

Visited with friends to try Bavarian food. I liked both the service and the food, the only thing is, if you have a language barrier, I advise (as I did) to look at the photo of the pond in the reviews, and then order what you want. Because a friend of mine was surprised when she received an unexpected meat jelly (but she herself I ordered it!). My portion was too large, and on the second day at home I finished eating the delicious meat. Thanks to the waitress for the service and for carefully packing the food. Would like to visit again.

The service was great, nice waiter, very accommodating, quick and very friendly. The beer garden is nice, although a bit noisy due to its location next to the street. The food is okay, the taste could still be improved. A little more spice would really be good for the food. Prices are okay, not overpriced. All in all, if the food was better, it would be a place to recommend.

Kurz zum Mittagessen hier gewesen. Kleiner, aber feiner Biergarten. Personal sehr freundlich und flott, Essen war sehr gut und wirklich reichlich. Gleich daneben ist ein Parkhaus, man muss also nicht ewig für die Droschke einen Parkplatz suchen. EMPFEHLENSWERT!

We stopped for dinner even though there was a village festival nearby. The service was fast, the portions are not very generous but the food is excellent and the prices are also a little below average.

Been here again for a very long time. The rooms in the inn are cozy. Food came very quickly, perhaps too quickly. Onion roast with fried potatoes were good, the reindl plate or something similar, with a small knuckle, piece of roast pork, etc. were okay. The sauerkraut and potato dumplings were very good, but the bread dumplings were not. Apple fritters are good again too. We could have saved ourselves the espressos. The light ones are tasty. Waitress was nice, that afternoon there was a group of gentlemen in the neighboring room who brought atmosphere to the inn.

A typical bavarian brewery with is own tavern. Offering a very attentive staff and food you can enjoy so much, as its delicious and most of all authentic bavarian. Will come back for sure.

Very well attended country inn. Sunday lunchtime we didn't make a reservation and were lucky to get the last table. The service was very friendly and the food actually came very quickly. I had the fish with very good potatoes and vegetables. My husband the mixed pancake. Surbraten and roast pork were also very well received.
