As nice as the place is and as good as the food may taste, I've rarely experienced such unfriendly staff (it was probably even the owner himself).
If you're thinking of going there, steer clear of that dump. A place like that doesn't deserve any support.
Four of us were guests for a business dinner on Wednesday evening. A very nice restaurant, excellent service, and delicious food. The chef cooks with heart and soul.
We've been regulars at Oliveira for six years.
Unfortunately, the hardworking waiter has left the restaurant.
This has led to a real problem, because he saw everything and took care of every single guest. The Hugo used to be served with fresh fruit in a nice glass, where the straw didn't constantly tip over and there was a wilted mint leaf in it.
What a shame. We were also brought the wrong food, and unfortunately, it didn't taste good either; everything just isn't the same anymore. It seemed to us as if the whole staff had changed, including the cooks and pizza chefs—everything is completely new. As for the ambiance, it's always been like this, but it could definitely use a refresh.
Unlike some other reviewers, I found the ambiance very harmonious and cozy. The service was unobtrusive, yet always attentive and very friendly. The food is absolutely worth the five stars; the light snacks served between courses added variety and provided a welcome change from the main courses. The wine pairing is highly recommended; I have rarely enjoyed such a perfectly matched selection of wines. A wonderful evening in a truly special restaurant. Fantastic!
Very pleasant, friendly service and a great selection, even though we stopped there spontaneously for coffee and cake :) The prices were also absolutely reasonable
Thursday and Friday lunchtimes, there's a cheap meal under €10 with a soup. Affordable and tasty.
A good beer 🍺 to go with it. What more could you want?
Peak garden time at lunchtime when the weather's nice 👍
Paparazzo Pizzeria in Bad Abbach really surprised me with its pizza – crispy crust, great ingredients, and absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, the service didn't quite live up to the same standard: the waiter seemed rather uninterested and inattentive, which was a bit of a shame.
However, the restroom was a real no-go – definitely not a good advertisement for the restaurant, more in the "best not to see it again" category.
In conclusion: I'd come back for the pizza, but only with my eyes closed on the way to the restroom. 🍕🚫🚽
We wanted to go for lunch on Saturday at 11:40 am. There were six of us.
Opening hours from 11:30 am. The restaurant was open.
We were told we should come at 12:00 pm.
Never again.
A great restaurant, tucked away in the old town. It serves regional dishes at fair prices that are delicious. The spicy paprika schnitzel lives up to its name. Highly recommended. Reservations are recommended.
