Old hedge farm with home-made wines from the local vineyard. The young winemaker couple practices sustainable, ecological and biodynamic wine cultivation. The natural wines are produced without sulfites. Hearty Franconian cuisine! Highly recommended! The wines are great! There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant.

Since Memo and family have been back in Weikersheim. We always like to come, for us the best kebab in Weikersheim.

We wanted to go out for something to eat on Saturday and only read at the door that the kitchen would not be occupied until 5 p.m. A tip on the internet would have been helpful.

Delicious pizza to fill you up.

The restaurant is quaint. You feel like you've been transported back to the Middle Ages. We were in Weikersheim for five days, and had dinner in the Bastion three times. But only because Tuesday and Wednesday are the rest days. What I personally found to be absolutely great was the handwritten menu. Hardly found today. The food is great. Everything we had was very tasty and fresh. The ox cheeks with the braising sauce are a real hit. The only downside is that the Rösti is not homemade. Although this is a shame on a high level. The service staff is super nice and attentive. Everything is served very quickly, but calmly and politely. If we end up in Weikersheim again, the Bastion will be the place for our dinner.

The garbage that is left behind ends up everywhere except in the trash cans intended for it.
