The atmosphere is very nice, service is good and friendly. It's a shame that there are no prices on the homepage. Rum steak at a high price. but delicious.
The stop at Schneider's sports restaurant was the culmination of a marathon hike with over 40 participants. We had already booked the retreat six months earlier (planning 30 participants) and then coordinated it on site. The two of us had dinner in the restaurant after the heats and were thrilled. At short notice I announced that we would be stopping by with a dozen more hikers, which wasn't a problem. When we arrived, the tables were invitingly decorated and grouped. The menu offered something for everyone (including vegan) and the food was generally highly praised. Despite the large group, the service was extremely quick, professional and very friendly. The (individual) billing was also completed quickly, so that we had enough time to start our return journey by train. Many thanks to Ms. Westermann and the entire restaurant team. This evening in a cozy atmosphere will be remembered fondly by everyone for a long time.
We were able to enjoy a truly fantastic meal that we will remember for a long time. The pork loins were tender as butter – perfectly cooked, juicy and simply delicious. The spaetzle that came with it was simply heavenly: soft and full of flavor. The porcini mushrooms were fresh and intense in flavor, which enriched the entire meal. The cream sauce was to die for – creamy, spicy and simply irresistible!
However, we would particularly like to highlight the salad. It was fresh, crunchy and served with a particularly delicious vinaigrette - simply a perfect complement to the main courses.
And then there was the vegan highlight: the filled potato pockets on a colorful salad. These were really a hit! The combination of the tender potato and the fresh, colorful salad was an absolute masterpiece both in terms of taste and appearance.
A special plus was that the chef personally asked whether the food was tasty - a very nice gesture that made the visit even more pleasant. The service was also incredibly friendly and accommodating, which rounded off the evening perfectly.
The restaurant is a little further out, but definitely an insider tip! There is parking in front of the house so there is enough space and the atmosphere is relaxed. A small note: it would be advisable to reserve in advance to make sure you get a table.
All in all, a culinary experience that we can only recommend! A true pleasure for all senses.
Another great experience in this rustic and cozy restaurant!
You always feel right at home here.
Lovingly designed card, great concept, first class quality and service.
Here you can get absolutely the best tarte flambée far and wide and at reasonable prices. When it gets warmer you can also relax outside.
Highly recommended!!!
I come here not only to enjoy the delicious food but also the great experiences with the drinks. It really tastes great and the prices are reasonable! I will definitely come back often!
I was here on March 27, 25 shortly after the reopening. The conversion and renovation was mega!!! It looks like a restaurant from 1001 Nights. So ambience 100 points!
Update 03/30/25
So I definitely can't recommend the kebab plate. Too bad.
There are 2 skewers, kebab was very tasty, nice soft fluffy bread, not as crispy toasted as is the trend everywhere at the moment, really still a good old school kebab.
Attention, there are large and small kebabs, 0.33 and 0.5 drinks. So don't let the price fool you, I was surprised why I had to pay more than I saw on the menu, but instead of a small kebab and a 0.33 drink, I had a large kebab and a 0.5 drink, hence the higher price. But the price is okay for a kebab, but maybe €1 too much for a small place like Ottenau. Doner kebab costs €8.50. What I found expensive was the €3 for a drink. No paper towels in the men's room. Hence 1 star deduction.
Antalya is an enrichment for Ottenau. With the two predecessors, diarrhea was always inevitable after eating.
I uploaded a few current photos.

We wanted to get something on Saturday, but it was closed, but according to the flyer it was open.
Bought a kebab plate with fries to take away today, unfortunately not recommended.
