Zur Sonne in Alzenau

The sun doesn't want advertising. There are enough regulars. I am 58 years old and have been coming there since I was a child. She has the best fish I could ever eat. Friday is fish lunch. I love the in-house wines, which used to be made in-house. You can ask or call whether there is still a place available on the weekend, Friday to Sunday.

Due to the corona lockdown, the sun is closed. On Fridays there are two fish dishes at lunchtime during normal opening hours. Due to the situation, the sun can only offer places with reservations. The Franconian wine comes from the local vineyard. The Sonne is a very good Franconian restaurant. Opening hours: Lunch - Friday, Saturday and Sunday, by appointment only.

If you look behind the scenes, it's a shithole

We have repeatedly stopped by the “Sonne” for lunch with our hiking group. It is a family business in which the boss cooks himself and the boss lovingly looks after the guests. Food was always excellent. A lunch menu is offered daily. Registration for a group desired. We always enjoy going there!

The food is always perfect, the fish and the St. Martin's goose are particularly recommended... The wine from our own vineyard is also very tasty. Ms. Glaab is very attentive, always friendly and knows exactly what the guests' preferences are. We always enjoy going to Michelbach. Hopefully you will stay with us for a long time.
