We've been there several times, whether as a couple or with family, or even with friends for a beer at the recurring musical evenings. There's never really been a reason to criticize. We're in the beer garden when the weather's nice, or inside when it's a bit cooler. Friendly service, a great host, good, home-style food with good value, and a relaxed atmosphere. We'd gladly go back!

I discovered this restaurant online. I was already very pleased when I reserved a table over the phone. We went here today and were absolutely thrilled with the service and the food. Everything was freshly prepared and truly delicious. All our wishes were fulfilled. THANK YOU and see you soon.

A home-style restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. We've been there several times and will be back. Delicious food, friendly staff, and good prices.

We celebrated our wedding there, with a champagne reception and brunch buffet. Everyone was thrilled with the food and service. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The food and service were top-notch. I highly recommend the potato pancakes and schnitzel. I like the charm of the restaurant. The Schlemmerblock (snack bar) didn't compromise on quality or service either.

The food didn't come as ordered. Complaints were accepted, and some dishes weren't charged. The salad with the schnitzel was very tasty...the schnitzel itself was also...the cream of mushroom sauce with the Jägerschnitzel was bright red, cooked with paprika and pieces of bell pepper, but with lots of mushrooms. The service was very friendly, but the situation in the restaurant and on the terrace was completely overwhelmed.

The room is too small for larger celebrations, the brunch was a bit too expensive for what was served

We were eating with a savings block. One meal is paid for and the second one is free. My food was totally over salted. It is probably the case that such people are not welcome. I come from the north of Germany, HH, and have been cooking myself for years. In a chef jacket with a name on it

Very friendly service, even though it was quite busy. The schnitzel with fries was very tasty. The sunny terrace is on the main street. Therefore it is a bit loud. But still highly recommended.

We visited the restaurant for the first time this week. There's plenty of free parking in front of the door. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The place is quaint and makes a nice impression. Only the restrooms are a bit underwhelming and dated. The menu offers a lot of variety and regional specialties. I chose the Strunde Burger. This is my first criticism. The schnitzel comes with a side dish, but with the burger, you have to order it separately. A portion of fries for €4.70! Yes, food prices have skyrocketed in recent years, but I don't think this price is justified for a (not even large) portion of fries. I would have expected more from the burger bun. It seemed rather run-of-the-mill and unfortunately didn't fit the overall look of the burger. It came with a homemade sauce that was really delicious, and the patty and salad combination were also perfect. We will try the breakfast next time and hope for a positive surprise.

I drove past and saw the sign “Wednesday Schnitzel Day”. Because it was quite busy, I stopped. I ordered a mushroom cream schnitzel with fried potatoes. The schnitzel surprisingly came together with the salad after about 15 minutes. It would have been nice to get this in advance. The salad was fresh and crunchy, the dressing (yogurt-based) delicious. But there was a lack of salt, which unfortunately wasn't on the table. You could also have asked in advance what dressing you wanted. In times where every second person has an intolerance for everything. The fried potatoes were very good and really tasty. The schnitzel was very thick, but tender and juicy. The cream sauce was very tasty. The brewery charm is not really my taste. The young pretty lady and the waiter in service were friendly and quick. I can recommend the food and would stop again anytime! Small deductions because of the salt.

If you like hearty, tasty food, you should try it.

We've been meeting at this nice restaurant every few months for some time now, both in summer and winter! Prices are fair and consistent. The staff is very, very nice, ok, you already know us, but new guests will also be quickly satisfied...food TOP price/performance! Fixed menu with changing offers! AND NO, I don't have any benefit from lying here! Recently I was recommended brunch for Sundays...we'll see....keep it up to the whole team, and thanks again for the delicious waffle the other day, it shortened my waiting time extremely ;)

The second star goes to the friendly service. The one star for the potato pancakes, which could have put a dent in the fender of our car... and for the burger. It came with warm minced meat, but salad and rolls from the cold storage. And instead of crispy bacon there were simply two slices of Black Forest ham on it... I'm guessing the chef doesn't even know the difference... There was no side dish at all. I then ordered more fries. Cost for the funny burger and fries ended up being just under €20.. Overall like a hidden camera.. Meal..

We went to the Quelle for Sunday brunch, there was a huge crowd, and nothing works here without a reservation. I found the selection at the buffet a bit limited for sweet breakfast eaters. There were fresh rolls, but unfortunately you only looked for packaged jam and Nutella, fresh and special spreads or honey in vain. I also missed something like more croissants or croissants, a larger selection of cakes or pastries, but there were a few poffertjes available. There was only a small bowl each of quark and fruit yoghurt, and the cornflakes corner only offered two types and I looked for the milk for them. Tea and cocoa were part of the buffet, if you just wanted to get a new tea you had to stand in line again, a separate table would have been better here. Coffee was already on the table. Hearty fans were a little better off, but here too I missed more cheese, sausage and ham selections. Instead there was plenty of scrambled eggs and probably very good ones, sausages and bacon, asparagus wrapped in ham, small schnitzels and mini meatballs in mini burger buns, very tasty potato pancakes plus applesauce as well as three types of warm main courses. The sliced ​​meat was okay, the meat was a bit dry, the potato gratin was delicious. All in all, everything was okay, but for 25.50 euros there was a bit too little choice for me personally and too much of a focus on savory foods. But that's a matter of taste.

MOIN, ALL SEVEN OF OUR GROUP WERE SATISFIED [I'M NOT A POTATO / FRY FRIEND AND WANTED PASTA AS A REPLACEMENT, THERE WASN'T AVAILABLE IN THE PLACE.] WITH THE FOOD OUTSIDE; THERE WERE SIMILAR BEER TENT BENCHES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST, CHAIRS WERE PROVIDED QUICKLY, GREAT!!!

The restaurant and the menu are a bit old. The service was nice and not intrusive. Prices are cheap for lunch until 2 p.m. The toilet door in the men's toilet is noticeably stuck.

Das Lokal liegt schön und ist ein uriges Gasthaus, das zum Einkehren einlädt. Die Bedienung brauchte relativ lange, um an den Tisch zu kommen und schon mal die Getränke aufzunehmen. Dafür kam etwa zehn Minuten später eine andere Bedienung und fragte nach den Getränken… Zwei Essen kamen nach angemessener Zeit, ein Essen war offensichtlich vergessen worden. Die Schnitzel sind offenbar tiefgefroren, die Panade war knusprig, aber nicht luftig, wie sie eigentlich sein muss. Der „große Salat mit Garnelen“ war ein etwas größerer Beilagensalat. Das Brot kam erst auf Nachfrage, ebenso Salz und Pfeffer. Um es klar zu sagen: Ich erwarte in einem solchen Gasthaus sicher keine Sterneküche - aber ich erwarte auch keine solchen Preise, Schitzel für 21,50€ bei höherer Qualität wäre ok, 19,90€ für einen derartig mickrigen, stinknormalen Salat ist eine Unverschämtheit. Ein bisschen Eissalat, ein paar Gurkenscheiben, 1 Teelöffel geraspelte Möhren und ein kleinstes Tomätchen+ 5 Minigarnelen und 3 hauchdünne Scheibchen Baguette für 20€, das ist frech. Und gesättigt ist man da auch nicht. Nichtsdestotrotz vielleicht zu Kaffee und Kuchen (?) oder abends zu einem Bier oder Glas Wein ist es ein nettes Lokal - mehr aber auch nicht.

We've eaten at your place often, but today was for breakfast for the first time (08/18/24). The breakfast was great, with one of the best breakfast buffets I know in the Bergisches Land. I'm already looking forward to the next time. The food is great and the waitresses are always friendly⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

The "so-called" restaurant is absolutely not recommended. First we waited forever for the waitress to place our order and finally at 3:45 p.m. there was no more cake, only waffles. The waffles with the spray cream and the overcooked morello cherries didn't taste good at all. It's outrageous to offer something like this to a customer. The cups and saucers were simply placed on the table along with the thermos and the incomplete cutlery and we were allowed to take care of the distribution. The coffee was so strong that we couldn't drink it. The packaged condensed milk was not enough to make the coffee drinkable. The unskilled waitress was simply overwhelmed, even though the restaurant was less than half full. Here even one star is too many, but unfortunately I had to give one star in order to publish this review. We imagine something different when we think of a visit to a restaurant.

I had dinner here again today with my client. It was very tasty (burger) and went relatively quickly. Not very loud, despite passing traffic. We'll be back🙂

The food was really good, unfortunately we had to change our order twice because the fried fish we ordered was out of stock. But we were only informed of this after 40 minutes! The waitress only came 20 minutes after we had sat down and then spoke to her as we walked past. There were drinks on the bill that we hadn't ordered. However, we were given a round for the inconvenience, which is not always a given.

We have eaten at the Quelle many times and have always been extremely satisfied. The food is a 10/10 as is the service. Simply a lovely family-run restaurant with a great atmosphere that we can only recommend. We always enjoy coming back. The hall is also ideal for celebrations.

A quick drink on the go. The Kage offers a stop. Good parking options. The service ladies were very friendly. The price for 1 cola is shockingly high, but unfortunately that's the case everywhere.

Very outdated, major renovation backlog in the interior and the sanitary facilities. Very cramped inside with the charm of the 70s. Exhaust air from the gas stove in the kitchen creates very bad air in the guest room. If so, then only outside in the beer garden.

We ate there for a birthday, beforehand. I had only heard good things from friends, so it was, DELICIOUS. We'll be back, I was thrilled, I feel very comfortable with you, only the volume wasn't so pleasant that day, but that was probably an exception. You're great, keep it up. My food was right up my alley. I tolerated everything well and that actually means 100 points. I only have one complaint: we forgot to give you a tip. Sorry, never happens again.

A bit quaintly cramped, but nice buffet, which is more like lunch (very rich) and not so much breakfast. But it's always topped up and the staff is warm and friendly. The toilet was a bit cramped, but if you can't fit in, you can use another one in the house. The price was around €25 per person. Normal these days. Parking spaces in front of the door, otherwise you can also park diagonally opposite. While you're there, you should also take a short walk in the surrounding area. Quaint houses, it's worth it.

Very friendly service, relatively cheap prices, especially on the special days: Wednesday scavenger hunt and Thursday potato pancakes. Advance reservation recommended. Menu also available on the restaurant website.

Unfortunately, absolutely substandard service. When we asked the employees about fermented foods (some with an expired best-before date), they even responded with annoyance. Here you don't even want to respond to the guests' justified criticism, unfortunately it doesn't work that way and that will become clear in the long term. A pity! We won't be coming back!

Super delicious food, pleasant atmosphere

There were several of us there for the Bergisch coffee table. Orders were repeatedly forgotten, bread and cold cuts were already at the table, as well as cream and cherries, but no butter and no waffles. There was canned spray cream in a glass bowl! When the waffles were there, the cream was just sauce. The packaged butter packets were all already expired, the Camembert already had fluff on the edges, supposedly it was nothing, but we all didn't want it anymore. Some cold cuts were quite dry and not sufficient. Two slices of black pudding? Apparently you could have asked. Rice pudding wasn't done. The only tasty thing were the waffles, since we wanted more we had to pay extra for them. So for a portion of over 20€ per person it's better to go to Extrablatt... There was no talking to the staff or the boss either. He probably didn't see all of that. You should be happy if you inform him about something like that. We won't come anymore.

Wir waren heute zum ersten mal hier..ein Gebäude von 1851....gelebte Geschichte... noch sehr urtümlich eingerichtet, mit einer alten Theke....so etwas sieht man kaum noch. Wohltuender Gegensatz zu all den hippen und durchgestylten Restaurants. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt. Der Service ist sehr nett und flink und nicht so aufgesetzt freundlich, sondern ganz natürlich. Heute war Schnitzeltag, so haben wir dann auch eben solche in verschiedenen Ausführungen gegessen. Sehr lecker, toller Salat mit Körnern und leckerem Dressing incl.......unsere Tochter hatte noch ein Tiramisu und unser Schwiegersohn einen Apfelstrudel... Alles zu einem sehr fairen Preis......hier wird man uns jetzt öfter sehen.....vielen Dank

Toller Brunch. Wir waren heute Mittag zum brunchen hier. Ein richtig tolles, gut bürgerlich und super schmeckendes Brunch Buffet zu einem fairen Preis. Freundliche Bedienung und wunderschönes Ambiente. Es gab sogar Spargel-Schinkenröllchen 😀 Wir kommen wieder.

Wir haben die Gaststätte mit 23 Personen am 16.9.23 besucht. Obwohl noch zwei weitere Gruppen im Biergarten anwesend waren, funktionierte der Service hervorragend. Das Essen war gut und wurde zügig serviert. Es gab aus der Gruppe nur Lob und Anerkennung für die Leistung des Serviceteams. Daher meine uneingeschränkt Empfehlung für alle die gutbürgerlich Essen und Trinken möchten. Für Gruppen ist der Biergarten bestens geeignet. Vielen Dank!

Die Pflege des Gebäudes lässt zu wünschen übrig. Hinter der Gastwirtschaft befindet sich ein Gebäude ( gehört zur Anlage), wo das Dach jederzeit einstürzen kann. Kein schöner Anblick.

Im Herzen VON Herrenstrunden, tolles Lokal, der Wirt lässt sich einiges ein fallen, macht viele Veranstaltungen, gutes Bier, gute Küche. Besonders das Frühstück, Sonntags ab 11h, erste Klasse. 😉

Essen war sehr gut. Bedienung ist überholungsbedürftig. Das Lokal war spärlich besetzt, trotzdem mussten wir 1. Nach der Speisekarte fragen, 2. Wann wird unsere Bestellung aufgenommen, 3. Bekommen wir noch etwas zu trinken. Das ist kein Service. Wenn das Essen nicht so gut gewesen wäre hätte es nur 1 Stern gegeben.

Die Speisenkarte ist zwar recht klein, dafür schmeckt aber jedes Gericht. Der Gastgeber hat immer Zeit für ein kleines nettes Gespräch, die Bedienung ist stets zuvorkommend. Ab und zu finden hier auch kleinere Veranstaltungen statt. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, dennoch eine klare Empfehlung.

Leckeres, bezahlbares Essen und sehr nette Bedienung. Leider wird das Ambiente etwas getrübt durch zwei Spielautomaten, auf die man direkt beim Betreten zuläuft und durch einen etwas muffigen, kneipenartigen Geruch. Davon abges hen sehr sauber, nett und angenehm. Es gibt eine Außenbestuhlung, diese befindet sich aber direkt an einer Straße, die je nach Tageszeit stark befahren ist.
