Essen, Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis sowie Ambiente und Service waren sehr gut. Einzig alleine zu bemängeln war die Geräuschkulisse. Aber das ist wohl meistens am Wochenende in einem Brauhaus Deswegen nur ein Punkt abzug

The atmosphere is always good and the food is usually OK. Not outstanding but ok. There are always downward outliers. The constantly changing daily/weekly menu is nice. Someone is thinking about it.

Wir waren bisher immer bei Tanz Auftritten unserer Tochter sehr zufrieden und haben uns auf das Essen in diesem Wirtshaus gefreut!!! Gestern Abend stand so ein Termin wiedermals an. Ambiente / Service / Speisen Auswahl & Getränke wirklich sehr gut - Danke Leider war mein Schweine Schnitzel von der Tageskarte vielleicht unpassend … bei € 24,90 für das Schnitzel mit ein paar Zwiebel / Champions und Soße Hollandaise und drei Reibekuchen ( ohne Salat ) - fände ich es in einem Wirtshaus doch schon angebracht, wenn das TK Schnitzel nicht nur die Fritteuse sehen würde - das war eben ein bisschen SCHADE & Danke

There's really no need to hide from Cologne's great namesakes. Young, friendly service team, good brewery cuisine, nice ambience... and gaff.

Wir kommen zwar nicht oft ins Brauhaus, aber wenn sind wir immer zufrieden und können es weiterempfehlen. Servicekräfte alle freundlich. Leider weiß ich den Namen von unserem Kellner nicht.

Ein klassisches Wirtshaus mit netter uriger Atmosphäre. Als "Special" gab es zu unserem Besuch eine Schnitzel mit Currywurst. Das ist wahrscheinlich immer dann das Richtige, wenn man sich zwischen den ungesunden Optionen nicht entscheiden kann. Portion riesig, geschmacklich hat es mich jedoch nicht wirklich abgeholt, bei nochmaligem Besuch dann lieber doch etwas anderes. Ansonsten alles gut, nettes Personal, preislich in Ordnung.

A classic tavern with a nice, rustic atmosphere. The “special” for our visit was a schnitzel with currywurst. This is probably the right thing to do whenever you can't decide between the unhealthy options. The portion was huge, but the taste didn't really appeal to me. If I were to visit again, I would prefer something different. Otherwise everything was good, nice staff, okay in terms of price.

Went there with a group of guys for dinner and a couple of beers. From the reservation to special requests, everything was implemented according to our wishes! The Wirtshaus am Bock impresses with a cozy atmosphere and a well thought-out combination of tradition and modern bar area. The beer is first class😊 Gaffelkölsch 👍. The kitchen also offers solid dishes. From regional classics to more modern options. My favorite is the sauerbraten, tender and well seasoned. The staff is always very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. A nice place to meet friends 😊. Absolutely recommended!

Leckere Speisen und Getränke. Aber ich denke, dass das Essen gut ist, versteht sich von selbst. Was mich jedes Mal glücklich macht, wiederzukommen, ist das super nette Personal, das weiß, was es tut, immer für einen da ist und sich immer Zeit nimmt, dafür zu sorgen die Zeit zum genießen mit freunden. Darüber hinaus wird alles von einem guten und freundlichen Chef gut betreut.

Anyone who loves breweries... loves the BOCK Have eaten there several times or just had a drink. Food is always very tasty!!! The waiter (Enrico) knows his craft!!! Always friendly and on the ball!!! I was last at the Christmas market with my 9 year old son and he had to go to the toilet... just asked if we could use the toilet... of course it wasn't a problem at all! (We were only allowed to use it in other stores against payment) We would love to come back!!!!!

I really enjoy going to the Wirtshaus am Bock. Sometimes just with a friend, sometimes with a larger group of people. I'm happy to reserve a table at the front of the Schwemme, partly because Enrico works there. He is attentive, has an overview of the entire area and comes at the right time with freshly tapped Kölsch, even if it is packed. There will be qualified tips and advice when choosing food and drinks and people are always friendly, courteous and respectful! And the food is super delicious!!! Especially now before Christmas I'm often at the front of the queue and there's always a lot going on. Nevertheless, you don't have to wait long for your drink. I really enjoy going to “den Bock” because the saying “everyone is equal before God and the bar!” is really lived there. Thanks to the entire team at Wirtshaus am Bock and especially to Enrico for always “giving your all” and making you feel completely at home!!!

Leckeres Essen, freundliche und fixe Bedienung, die auch im größten Gewühl einen kühlen Kopf behalten hat. Lediglich der Wirtshaustypische Lärmpegel ist etwas störend. Wirtshaus eben und damit jammern auf hohem Niveau! Wir kommen wieder.....

Mit der Reservierung hatte alles geklappt, Enrico, unser zuständiger Köbes, war super auf Zack , die Männer hatten stets ein frisch gezapftes am Start. Natürlich war es ein paar Tage vor Weihnachten mega mäßig voll … und da vor uns eine Gruppe mit 40 Personen aufschlug, hatten wir leider Gottes eine recht lange Wartezeit. 3 Essen waren wirklich super, Schnitzel mit Champignonsauce, das Steak und der Burger mit Ziegenkäse und Preiselbeeren. Unsere Tochter hatte sich für die vegetarische Bolo mit Bandnudeln entschieden. Die Bandnudeln kamen als Spaghetti daher … leider mehr als al dente gekocht. Die Bolo roch voll nach Fertigtüte, geschmacklich aber sehr laff. … und eine gute Veggi-Bolo ist wirklich nicht schwer in der Herstellung … hier sollte noch mal eifrig an der Rezeptur gefeilt werden. Ansonsten -Danke für einen schönen Abend … 🎄💫

Unfortunately there was no toilet paper, soap or towels to dry off in the toilet. Despite telling the waiter, nothing was changed. The food was also ok, but wasn't that great the last few times.

Today was the first time in the mood but also the last time. The waitress was totally annoyed and didn't really feel like it. Ordered drinks and the wrong one came straight away. The food continued. First you had to discuss it with her and then you got it differently than you wanted it. It was also super loud there and totally annoyed guests where the food was wrong. It's better to go to the Greek restaurant on Schlossstrasse because the customer is also a customer there.

Delicious food, very fresh, beautifully prepared. The waitresses are very friendly and take good care of the guests. A rustic atmosphere that befits a pub.

I've never eaten as bad as on Brauhaus am Bock in a Brauhaus. I can't recommend it. My wife had heaven and there was no present on it at all and I had savoy cabbage with bratwurst. The savoy cabbage was still raw and I had to look for it and everything was fine Badly seasoned and the service was very unfriendly, never again

The Bocker Saal is a great location for larger celebrations in Bergisch Gladbach. We celebrated our wedding there with 80 guests. The voting in advance, the organization and the flow of the evening were excellent. We can therefore only say a big compliment to the Bock team and especially to Marc. Thank you!

The food isn't even worth one star. A disaster in terms of taste. Carelessly done. The service was quite ok.

Were seated at a table with nine people. A few minutes later we were asked to sit at a much smaller table, which we declined. The waitress then came to us with reinforcements in the form of a slightly passive aggressive gentleman and asked us to take the small table or a table in the next room. We decided on the other room. The other young tall waitress was super friendly! Food was okay. But it works better. All in all, it was a nice visit, but won't be back.

Das Essen war typisches Brauhausessen, aber sehr gut. Die Bedienung war kompetent und sehr freundlich. Wir haben Sonntagmittag draußen an der Straße gesessen, aber da zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht viel Verkehr war, war es ruhig. Wie es mit der Lautstärke drinnen oder bei mehr Verkehr ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Sorry, now there's a bad review. We ate there today at 1:15 p.m. with 10 people. All very different dishes. The salads were watery and therefore no dressing could be tasted. My "currywurst" was served with tomato sauce. The fries were ok, the sausage tasted like nothing. My neighbor's schnitzel: Average and definitely too small for €20. Not a taste experience either. I would write in the kitchen report card: He always tried hard. You can certainly do Kölsch. But we couldn't enjoy our meal because we all still had to drive. Definitely not a purchase recommendation. Bottom taste category. That's why we don't go out to eat. Reservation system works and the staff was friendly. I had a “fast food full feeling” after eating. Neither more nor less. So far the worst brewery experience we have had in terms of taste experience. I recommend that the kitchen team go out to eat at the Dellbrück or Mülheim brewery. And maybe they'll reveal a trick or two. We definitely won't eat here anymore.

Absolute disaster! The service is unfriendly, the food doesn't taste good and it's way too expensive! Currywurst with fries: sausage wobbly, curry sauce mushy and disgusting. Fries ok. I can't recommend it at all. In the end, I didn't tip enough and got another comment. This tops the restaurant after the poor quality of the far too expensive food.

The drink (on the occasion of a birthday) with Cologne tapas was terrific. We and our guests felt very comfortable. The service was absolutely great. Special requests for drinks and food were responded to spontaneously. Any time and again 👍👍👍 Many thanks to the entire team!

2024 A pity. The quality of the food has deteriorated. The cordon bleu consisted more of ham than meat, and the cheese must have dissolved in the deep fryer. We skipped the hollandaise in advance - it doesn't belong in a cordon bleu anyway. The Röggelchen with the Cologne tapas was only half. The bread was toasted because it was otherwise too dry. Thyme stalks are not suitable as a salad decoration. It's a shame, things can only get better. 2019 We had a lovely evening here in the inn. I can't rate the food (yet), but I'll definitely be back. Edit: We've been here several times now. On weekends it is advisable to reserve a table. The menu contains everything you would expect in a brewery and a few special delicacies. Service and food are good.

It is always recommended. We were all very happy with our dishes. The portions are large and the price/performance ratio is ok. The selection of food and drinks is sufficiently large. The ambience is nice and invites you to linger. The only thing we were unhappy with was our waiter. Whether that's just how he is, not having a good day, or something else, I have no idea. We found him unfriendly, cold and seemed annoyed. That was too bad. Nevertheless, we would always come back there.

The food was really bad. The currywurst was inedible, the fries looked good but were soggy. You could choose between normal, hot and extra hot. I eat spicy food every day so I chose extra spicy. I don't know how much Scoville this sauce had, but that's bordering on bodily harm. At least the waitress should have pointed it out. The schnitzel wasn't even at the level of a French fries stall. That has nothing to do with good brewery food. Sorry, but the food was unfortunately inedible.

Waited 5 minutes for the first beer. Normally in the mood!? Then the lake was silent, even though I was the only guest inside. There was probably a company in the next room and the outside area was also well attended. After almost half an hour I looked for a waitress who would take the money for the one beer. I then forced someone to take the 2.20 from me, although a 10 cent tip was still too much. Don't come back.

Whether watching football or going out to eat, the Bock is always our first choice. We also celebrated our wedding here last year and were absolutely satisfied. Of course an order gets lost sometimes, but who doesn't have that happen to?! We always enjoy coming back and always go home full. Thanks to Marc and the whole team, whether service or kitchen, you're doing a great job!!!!

Not just the home cooking - the currywurst also tastes great! A visit is always worthwhile!!! ------ One year later! Don't want to repeat myself; the rating remains the same. The service team is great! But the prices are skyrocketing. Example: One (1) currywurst €12 is too expensive. That doesn't speak for an old-established pub (brewery). Unfortunately they didn't inform us about the current prices before ordering. For this address we can only hope that the tables don't remain completely empty after the European Football Championship.

The store is good, the staff is always resilient and friendly. Unfortunately, the food has weaknesses and the unimaginative standard doesn't justify the high prices.

Beim Fußball schauen draußen Ton viel zu leise. Die Essens-Preise sind in den letzten sechs Monaten um 25 % gestiegen, deutlich mehr, als die Inflation gestiegen ist. 

So there were 10 of us in front of the room. It took a long time until a waiter came. In between, a few people went to the counter themselves and things didn't get any faster. The hall next door was half full. But they also waited forever for drinks. (Some we knew). And then finally a “slightly” annoyed waiter arrived. After what felt like half an hour. Not a flagship for a brewery. It's also really bad when there are events upstairs. It takes forever at the top and the same at the bottom. It's a shame actually. Otherwise it's actually a nice shop if that were true. Of course this is our subjective feeling.

Update 2024 Things have gotten a little better again compared to 2022. Thank God, because I like this brewery a lot. Praise for the service repeatedly goes to Enrico, right at the top of the ranking!!! Update 2022: It's a shame, a shame, a shame, a lot of things here are no longer the same as they were in 2018. O.k. There have certainly been personnel changes due to Corona. We're still a long way from where I left off reporting in 2018. Food was delicious and finally in the usual quantities at the brewery. But unfortunately our service was a disaster. (Not Enrico, unfortunately he wasn't responsible for us) A lot of time had already passed before this was noticed and registered. Even worse when ordering food. We were really very patient, sat at 5-6 tables in the courtyard and were almost forgotten. We loudly drew attention to ourselves... then we continued (Only 3 ⭐️ from previously 4) Update 2018: I've been there several times now and I can't complain about anything anymore. We are very happy to have friendly young people and operator ladies who are simply fresh, attentive and nice. Aioli there is no update yet. Not tried again...🙈 Do we have to look again... The waitress only served me and forgot to offer my wife the card, just because I already knew what I wanted. Bread with aioli is not recommended, farmer's schnitzel with fried potatoes and onions is simply recommended. Gaffel Kölsch - you can't go wrong. 🙄

Last week was the last time I was in the mood, I can't understand the pricing at the moment because we often go out to eat, and we know that things can be better in Cologne too. If the simple Viennese style schnitzel costs €20.50, that's far too expensive for me. That day I had something from the weekly menu, pulled pork with fries and cabbage from the pan with chili cheese sauce, which I couldn't find, neither did my neighbor at the table, for €19.50. Very small portion with little meat, which really wasn't was particularly good. Too little for the price. Take a look at my profile and you'll see that it can be done much better and cheaper. It's a shame, we always enjoyed going here, so please reconsider the pricing. By the way, it's a shame that the Alsatian schnitzel pan is no longer available

Grundsätzlich gehen wir immer gerne zum Bock. Leider ist selbst an einem Dienstag-Abend der Schall-Pegel so hoch, dass man sich selbst in einem Eckchen im Saal anschreien muss. Außerdem sind die Preise aus unserer Sicht nicht mehr angemessen zu einem "Brauhaus" im kleinen Bergisch Gladbach. Sehr gut waren die Servicekräfte: Flink, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich.

We've enjoyed going to the Bock inn every now and then for years. No idea what happened in the last 1-2 years. The prices sometimes rose enormously, but the value on the plate decreased. I enjoyed eating "Kölsche Tappas", but the last two times there was only a cheap imitation of what I knew from before. We (2 adults, 1 child) were always priced at €60-70, the last few times we've reached the three-digit range at €97 without eating any differently or more than usual. There is a price increase One thing and that's ok, but reducing the purchased goods - i.e. the dishes - is like a double price increase! Conclusion: I probably won't eat at the Wirtshaus zum Bock anymore. When I visit, it's only for 1 or 2 Kölsch and that's only by chance when I'm in the area.

Loud, expensive, bad food and when I order a large spritzer in a pub, I expect at least 0.4 or 0.5 L, which is what you're happy to pay! Never again!

We always enjoy going to the Bock! 😁 The food is rich and delicious, the service is always super friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is sociable. Price/performance is very good and there is something for everyone on the extensive menu. 👍 We particularly like the burgers, whether veggie or normal. The new chicken focaccia (also like a burger) also surprised us very positively! There are delicious knuckles on Fridays and Saturdays and a cheap, constantly changing lunch menu every lunchtime during the week. Great. The best restaurant in Bergisch Gladbach!

Very nice location with a very good price/performance ratio. The two burgers (veggie and meatloaf) were delicious, attractively prepared and more than large enough. The motivated and very friendly service from all the employees made the evening a great experience.

Nice atmosphere, full house. That's why we chose this restaurant. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with the food. The schnitzel and the fries were fried in old fat to taste, and the fries were then served with salad mayonnaise. The sauce was also just warmed up with canned mushrooms from the bulk package. It's a real shame, I would have expected something more. However, the service was super nice and accommodating.

Every Sunday...if I don't want to cook, we usually go to the Bock. Really nice and professional service and a varied menu in a beautiful brewery environment - what more could you want? Let's look forward to the spring and asparagus menu, the test meal of the limoncello tart was very promising

Nice inn with decent food. Sitting inside and outside is very nice and comfortable. The furnishings are as befits a pub. Food in terms of price-performance ratio is completely okay and there is something for every taste and hunger. A good address not just for a stop after shopping.

Nice place for a cozy meal and drink, and the price-performance ratio is completely okay. Food is tasty and the portions, as already written above, are good for the price. The service is friendly, but the quality is not consistent, so we had to wait several times longer for our beer or until we could even order something...unfortunately not a flagship for a pub when there are 8 guys sitting at the table with more as the obvious goal to solder one. In the future, a barrel will be ordered straight away, anything else makes little sense for a men's evening, because otherwise you can still count backwards from 10 until the last round. So either serve faster or extend opening hours on weekends.

Unfortunately the bacon tarte flambée has worn off. For the 2nd time! Have complained. Highly rated by me six months ago. Now just one greasy, underbaked product. Sauerbraten ok

Essen ist wie immer fabelhaft gewesen. Das Rindergulasch hätte auch eine größere Portion sein können allerdings für den Preis sehr ordentlich. Für mich könnte es lieber was teurer sein und dafür größere Portionen. Unterm Strich aber eine klare Empfehlung wir werden definitiv wieder kommen.

Es war wieder alles super. Essen, Bedienung und Getränke sehr gut!

Sehr nette Bedienung, sehr gutes Essen (reichlich und sehr schmackhaft), leckeres Kölsch... Einziger kleiner Kritikpunkt: Für das 0,3 L Kölsch gab es keine Kölschgläser und das in einem Brauhaus (wurde aber erklärt warum, trotzdem eigentlich nicht zu verstehen). Kölsch schmeckte aber auch aus anderen Gläsern. Wir gehen immer wieder gerne "Zum Bock".

Gemütliche Brauhaus-Atmosphäre.

Das Serviceteam ist freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Qualität,bzw.die Darreichungsform des Essens hat leider nachgelassen, heisst zuviel "Jus" direkt auf dem Grünkohl, Currywurst lauwarm. Der Geräuschpegel eines Brauhauses ist bereits hoch, wenn dann aber in der Schwemme noch übertrieben laut Karnevalsmusik läuft, ist es beinahe unerträglich, zumal für Hörgerät Träger, nicht empfehlenswert
