We ate there quite well! Abundant food and quite well priced compared to what's out there. Authentic German food. Very good service and good location.

We were there spontaneously and were lucky that a table just became available. Each of us ordered something different, everything was delicious. The vegetarian dishes were particularly creative, something completely different and extremely tasty. The place itself exudes a nice charm and the service was also nice.

A really pleasant lunch in a beautiful gothic and traditional restaurant in Berlin. We were tourists that found this place beforehand, while searching on maps; we wanted to experience Berlin's old town and to eat some traditional german plates. Zur Gerichtslaube really caught our attention and surprised us with good food, service, and atmosphere. We had to wait a little before seating, but it was worth it. As entree, we choose "Pumpkin soup" and "Berlinese gulasch". Both were delicious and a perfect choice as we walked for hours with cold temperatures. This plates gave us cosy and home-made feeling while being really tasty and new. As main plate we choose to share "Grand Feast Berlin-style". This plate was a large and amazing mix of different types of meat, accompanied by potatoes and krauts. We also enjoyed their fresh bread and choose to try strawberry wine and apple drink, that were delicious. Service was really good. Waiters were nice and funny. They tried to engage you in a friendly and funny way. Even if many people were waiting while we were eating, they never tried to pressure clients to leave or eat rapidly, which was good to see and led to a more relaxed atmosphere. While paying, they were also well prepared and we had no issues with our card type.

A restaurant in the beautiful Nikolaiviertel that we have enjoyed visiting for years. We especially love it there outside of peak times, so you can listen to great old Berlin music. Small restaurant with a breathtaking atmosphere; in summer with a beer garden. In addition to Berlin home cooking, vegan alternatives are also not neglected.👌🏼 A must: the Schöffenbier! 🍻

It was really nice there. Ambience wonderful. The food is really delicious! My schnitzel was delicious. My mother-in-law had potato soup and she said it was as good as her grandma's soup.

Wonderful German food, traditional atmosphere and super service. We loved the vaulted ceilings and the Old Town was a great area to explore afterwards.

Was allowed to do a trial work there. Prices are reasonable for the portion sizes. Clean work. Unfortunately, I was placed through a company that doesn't seem to be particularly reputable! I was in Berlin today with my son to finally visit BER and on the way back we were looking for a way to get something to eat, which is always difficult in Berlin. Fast or junk food was out of the question so we came here and were very positively surprised, great restaurant, great food and old Berlin music. Everything is just perfect and again at any time

We were told the place was fully booked when we arrived. We turned and left but went back shortly to ask if we could make a reservation for the next day. One of the male staff said a sharp "No" with his back turned to us. We took the obvious hint that we are no longer welcome in the premises so we left. We are Asians so I'm not sure what does it say about the staff. Having read the reviews, we were excited to taste the food. But alas, we didn't get the chance to. We wish the establishment all the best and hope other patrons are treated better.

Great last minute find in the pouring rain! Everything was prepared as if in someone’s home - incredibly fresh, rustic and absolutely delicious.We had pork knuckle , veal cheeks - both melt in your mouth, sausages and of course the local beer was perfect pairing to food.

Have something to eat before the Festival of Light. We also had dinner at the courthouse inn. An old and well presented restaurant. The waiter was overly friendly to us, the food, a bratwurst with sauerkraut, wasn't good, the sausage was hard and tasteless, half a duck, you get scared when you see it on the plate, nothing crispy and reasonably tasty, that Potatoes were not good and homemade brawn with remoulade and fried potatoes, the brawn was good, the remoulade was too thin and tasteless, the fried potatoes with additional salt were good to eat. After looking through the menu, my companion and I decided on a small salad, beef roulade and the muscovy duck. The salad was super fresh with a fruity dressing, the duck with a side dish was delicious and the beef roulade was excellent. Beer and dessert were excellent The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was rustic/cozy.

Ambiance: nice Service: ok Food: tasty - but the vegetarian meals were cold. The kicker: The supposed dessert “Berlin Air for a Spoon” (the original recipe dates back to the 19th century) was just cheap vanilla pudding with a few raspberries, which has nothing to do with the original recipe, for 6.90 euros. This could be called cheating. The waitress said she couldn't reach the chef but would refund the price of the dessert. Suggestion: change the name on the menu to "vanilla pudding with raspberries" 3.90 euros

It was the first place I ate upon my arrival in Berlin. I booked this place because I wanted typical German food and because of the proximity to Alexanderplatz. The truth is that I was surprised by the atmosphere. I ate on the terrace and, with how good the day was, it was very appreciated. The only bad thing is that there were some bees bothering us, but that is normal due to the vegetation. Very nice service and the place in the old part of Berlin. The dessert is delicious and they have a menu in Spanish (a great detail).

We tasted incredible soups in a freezing cold night; 2 soups and 2 beers €28. Great value for money and would recommend to anybody who wants to taste German cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Terrible service, we went to dinner, we waited patiently for the waitress to serve us, after 15 minutes of blatantly ignoring us, we asked her if there was any Syrian, they had several free tables, she didn't even stop to look at us and told us no. Given this attitude, which seems to be typically Berlinese, we went to a place next door that was much better and more polite.

Our visit was as a family of 4 adults. We found space in the beer garden at a good 25°C. The service was quick and friendly. The waiting times for food are justified. My lunch, a slaughter platter, tasted great. Everything was smooth sailing. We'd love to come back.

We were shocked to be treated with anger simoly because we reserved table for 8 and at the end 11 of us came to have a lunch. The attitude was with one word unacceptbale even when we politely tried to find solution we were thrown out of the restaurant. It is simply unacceptable for anyone to treat customers in that way

We had lunch outdoors, because the inside was not available for lunch and the only flaw was the arrival of flies and wasps attracted by the food (in Berlin wasps and bees are protected insects and roam around the city undisturbed) . Bittersweet experience. We wanted to try typical food and we chose the restaurant based on the reviews and because it was indicated that the place was in a 13th century building with a terrace and vaulted rooms. The first disappointment was that they didn't let us sit inside, only on the terrace. Still we decided to stay. The food was good, although perhaps the knuckle was a little too salty. The prices are somewhat high but correspond to the quantities and qualities of the product. The problem arose when the knuckle dish was served. A battalion of flies and wasps appeared from the plants on the terrace, constantly landing on the food. We asked the waitress if we could please go to the interior room because the situation was very uncomfortable and unhealthy, but she denied us the possibility and told us that this happened every time we ordered knuckle???!!!. If it happens all the time and they already know it, I don't know why they serve it on the terrace and didn't tell us before. We spent the entire meal chasing away the swarm of flies that continually bothered us until the plates were taken away and almost all the flies were removed. We are used to eating on terraces and something like this has never happened to us. In short, a very unpleasant experience. Correct food but the atmosphere and customer service, from our point of view, left a lot to be desired. If you decide to eat a meat dish there, I recommend that you only do so inside the premises.

Delicious German food in a very nice little beer garden

Amazing restaurant right in the center of Berlin near Museum Island, with typical Berlin cuisine. In a truly special atmosphere thanks to the very beautiful and particular venue, we had lunch enjoying typical dishes and we had a very good time. Excellent value for money, friendly staff.

Posticino in location super carina all’interno di una viettina particolarissima! Siamo stati seduti all’esterno in un cortiletri comodo senza troppi tavoli. Avevo prenotato qualche settimana fa scrivendo una mail e, appena arrivati, il tavolo era lì pronto per noi. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto da dividere con una specie di sfoglia con agnello stracotto buonissimo! Poi un piatto a base di involtino di manzo e l’altro guancette brasate. Tutto veramente buono! Porzioni abbondanti, servizio veloce ma non troppo e conto giusto! Diverse birre chiaramente da scegliere e buona varietà di dolci. Abbiamo provato le frittelle di mele ma, sinceramente, non erano granchè: la frittura di staccava e non erano abbastanza dolci. Per il resto assolutamente consigliato!

Die Lage im Nikolaiviertel ist sehr zentral und die Terrasse perfekt für laue Sommerabende. Die überwiegend deutsche Küche ist “gut bürgerlich”, aber selbst ein einfaches Gericht wie Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut war geschmacklich fantastisch! Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend! Immer wieder gerne - vielen Dank an das ganze Team!

Terrible service from the waiter tonight(Man). He didn't offer all the beers, he asked: Black or blond, he didn't ask the size of the glass, 33cl or 50cl, so I answered "Black". However, when I went to the bathroom and came back, the blond beer was there, I had to ask for a change. Then I ordered number plate n23 and my girlfriend asked if it was possible to share the dish between two. I thought the waiter hadn't understood, so I confirmed again, number 23. We realized he was impatient and in a hurry. When the dish arrived, we realized it was the wrong one. We called him and asked if it was number 23, and he said no, it was number 21, for two people. I said that we didn't order that, and he got angry and said something like "I explained it, it's not my fault you didn't understand", and turned his back and left. We realized he also got the wrong dish for the table next to us. I have nothing to complain about the food, but I just didn't get up from the table because I was very hungry. I've been a waiter and I understand how sometimes we have bad days and it affects our service, but this waiter was very rude. After we started eating he came over and said "the dish is good, isn't it?" I replied "yes, but it wasn't what I ordered", then he again turned his back and mumbled something we couldn't understand. PS: The Second beer (The First order was wrong) came without head.
