The quality of food and service is at a good level, but all this is not worth the money this restaurant charges for it.

There were four of us and it was our first time in the April restaurant and we were completely thrilled. The ambience was extremely pleasant - a perfect mix of comfort and style. The service was excellent: friendly, attentive and quick. I had the risotto which was simply fantastic – perfectly cooked and full of flavour. The wine list also left nothing to be desired, it was extremely extensive and offered something to suit every taste. Overall, a wonderful evening with excellent cuisine and great service. We would definitely like to come back!

I still know the shop from Winterfeldtstrasse. The new restaurant has lost nothing to the quality of the food. The breakfast options have changed slightly, which I personally really like. The basis has remained. I actually like the atmosphere in the restaurant better than before. A difference between a person behind the counter and a service person bothered me and found you inappropriate. I would love to come back and am happy that April is still there.

The food is all salty and expensive. The restaurant is very noisy, there has been no renovation for a long time - the chairs are old and dirty, the paint has fallen off the walls, the chandeliers are crooked. The menu is old and dirty. I'll never come again.

The new APRIL! I loved APRIL until it had to close due to new homeowners. Thank God the operating family has a second restaurant, LENZIG. Now APRIL has moved into LENZIG and if you look closely you will immediately recognize the individual handwriting. Glad you still exist! 😍 The perfect place for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Unfortunately not recommended. We made reservations for 3 people via Google (and received confirmation), one person got sick. I called 3 days in advance to unregister the 3rd person, I was told my reservation wasn't in the system, they often have it on Google. The very nice person I spoke to said, no problem, and we made a new reservation half an hour later. When we arrived for this appointment, another gentleman shouted at us that we were late. We were supposed to sit at a table right by the door, it was also really loud. We politely declined, were warmly welcomed at a restaurant in the immediate vicinity and ate and drank very well.

Yesterday I was a bit confused as to why the former Lenzig restaurant is now called "april". The old restaurant "april" at Winterfeldstrasse 56 in Berlin-Schöneberg had to close due to high rents and has now moved to Eisenacher Strasse 75 in Berlin-Schöneberg. The food (duck with dumplings and red cabbage) was still very tasty. I definitely recommend making a reservation, the restaurant was packed on Tuesday evening in December.

Wir haben Flammkuchen gegessen, Cheddar Chili mit Ruccola. Der war sensationell. Die Karte ist ganz klein. Die Weinkarte sehr groß. Sehr nette Kellner und ein super schönes Ambiente.

We rarely had anything to complain about and the price-performance ratio was right. The atmosphere is pleasant, the staff very friendly and attentive. Be sure to come without a car. A little too crowded in the evening. Favorite: Wiener Schnitzel.

No estoy seguro de lo que comí. Pedí un entrante de carpaccio de ternera pero estaba tan gris y soso con un aderezo dulce que tengo la sensación de que puede haber sido seta. Si era carne de res no era bueno. Lo mismo con el pato, porción muy grande pero increíblemente dulce con polenta que podría haber sido un puré de patatas mucho más apropiado. Mi pareja pidió schnitzel, que también era una porción muy grande y afortunadamente salado en comparación con mi comida dulce. Con un menú MUY pequeño y bastante orientado a los vegetarianos no volvería. La decoración es interesante pero bastante fría. Algo de polvo de los adornos no vendría mal. Las mesas de atrás al menos tienen manteles para suavizar el ambiente, pero si es el mismo menú no hará mucha diferencia.

As a non-Berliner, I only go 3-4 times a year in April, but that has been the case for 30 years. It was nice to have had the French waiter to say goodbye today. He just said "No - see you in spring" what a nice person. Take good care of him and everyone else you care about!

Were loyal guests for many years and were there often. It's closing soon. We won't miss it. The service is now terribly unfriendly and inflexible. It's certainly not easy to find good staff, but the people there are now so bossy and listless at work that the good food doesn't make up for it. As expensive as going to a restaurant is now, I expect to be treated just as kindly as I try to treat my fellow human beings with respect.

Unser Abendessen im April, ein Ort, den wir schon oft besucht haben, enttäuschte trotz guter Küche durch einen nicht professionellen Service. Unsere Bitte um einen Randtisch für unseren Hund wurde ignoriert, trotz leerer Tische im hinteren Bereich des Restaurants. Stattdessen wurden Augen gerollt. Als unser Hund dann getreten wurde, blieb eine Entschuldigung aus. Unsere Kritik zur Tischpolitik nach dem Essen stieß auf taube Ohren, und das Ausbleiben von Trinkgeld führte zu einem unfreundlichen Abschied vom vorhandenen Servicepersonal. Hier fehlt jegliche Spur von Professionalität und Serviceorientierung. So geht's definitiv nicht! Schade.

We were guests yesterday. It's a nice atmosphere. Our food requests were responded to in an extremely inflexible manner. Carrot puree as an additional side dish is not possible because it would then be missing from another dish. There were no various extra vegetables (also grilled). When asked, they said they didn't have any grilled eggplant. It seems as if the food is delivered or pre-prepared. Kind of weird The first dishes had already been cleared away while others were still eating. I think it's part of etiquette now. Apparently not.

Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, April has never disappointed us in service, taste or ambience. Thank you for the great culinary experiences we always have with you!

Allerdings habe ich mich letzten Sonntag wirklich geärgert: für eine Rhabarber Schorle und ein Stück Kuchen 15,50 Euro ist extrem überzogen. Das war das letze Mal am Nachmittag. Man sollte das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältmis überprüfen.

Great, cozy place for lunch. We got the schnitzel, fish soup and steak with salad. The steak was actually quite tough, but the waiter was quick to correct that for us! This fish soup was delightful, and one of the best soups I’ve ever had! I would definitely come back.

Beautiful café for breakfast. We spontaneously had breakfast here on a Sunday morning without making a reservation in advance and it was made possible. The scrambled eggs with Gouda we ordered surprisingly also included jam and a bread basket and everything was completely to our satisfaction. The waitresses were very friendly and made sure we were completely happy. We will definitely come back again before you unfortunately have to close. Very, very unfortunate. Have finally found my favourite spot for breakfast/brunch when visiting Berlin. The food is lovely, the service is great and we all agreed the breakfast tea was delicious - then we spent a good 10 mins raving about how lovely the teapots are! (Yes, I know that sounds sad, but genuinely they’re very covetable 😂)

5 of us had dinner at this restaurant after not returning for years. Always very good food, always beautiful environment. Even though we had booked and there were several free tables, they prepared a table for us in which we were cramped, uncomfortable, with a person "stuck" at the head of the table near the window. The waitress even had to move the tables slightly to allow the person at the head of the table to have space to sit. I repeat, although there were several tables left vacant... The waitress was courteous but a little hasty. For a restaurant like this I expected better treatment. The food, I repeat, was still very good.

the menú was very limited, we did not get any help from the waitress. The Schnitzle was acceptable but one of us asked a salad which was supposed to have many ingredients but in the end It was 90 per cent lettuce. The price of the drinks was ridiculously expensive . When we complained about the salad we were ignores. So, on the whole a bad experience. Never again.

I recently ate at your restaurant and was unfortunately very disappointed. The food was overpriced for the quality offered. Given the high prices, I expected much more. Additionally, the waitress who served us was unfriendly and unhelpful, which further detracted from our experience. In addition, the restaurant is decorated in an old-fashioned way and is dark, which makes the atmosphere uninviting.

Cool German restaurant, very tasty cooked, ordered steak with salad, schnitzel and Caesar salad. The portions are huge. Special thanks to the waiter, he helped with the choice of dishes (he knows Russian). We will definitely come back here again.

Unfortunately it's no longer worth the money (e.g. the “famous” pork schnitzel now costs €25). The menu lacks seasonal dishes. Good (open) wine selection

All in all I am very satisfied. The service was magical, the rooms were clean and beautifully decorated. The view was also great. The only thing I think needs improvement is the breakfast. The cornflakes were open for too long and the consistency was therefore difficult. The selection in general left me shaking my head for the price. I would stay there again at any time, but I wouldn't add breakfast anymore.

Be careful when reserving a table I have been eating at this place for many years and always stop by when I am in Berlin. Last Sunday I reserved a table to be sure of a place, received confirmation by email and turned up at the agreed time. Surprisingly, I was told by the staff that the kitchen was closed (at 9.30pm) as there was an application and very few guests. The restaurant must be open until 11 p.m. The young lady behind the bar first told me that they didn't have a reservation in the system, that the food service was closed, that they didn't SEE the reservation and that I could go to another restaurant owned by April nearby, but maybe the kitchen was also closed there. Finally the chef came out and it turned out he could cook for me anyway. And the food was as always - absolutely perfect. I understand that there may be few guests from time to time and that the staff want to go home - even on a Sunday - but if the restaurant is to be open and receive reservations then you cannot turn away guests in this way. It was 1.5 hours before closing, and you should also wait to start clearing tables until the last half hour. Those who run the place should talk to the employees to improve routines on this, because it is not pleasant to be rejected in this way for a regular guest who has been looking forward to the restaurant and who has recommended this place to others several times.

Sorry, way too overrated, way too expensive and it didn't necessarily taste good!!! I took the Caribbean fish soup because there were more vegetables, red peppers, yellow peppers than anything else in it. Three pieces of salmon, three and a half shrimp the size of my little booger finger, and all that for a whopping 15.50 euros, a joke. Never again !!!!!!!!

Food was absolutely delicious and the service was great! A bit annoying that half the menu isn't available until 17:30, but overall we would definitely come again!

Came here on a whim because I was with my mum and they happen to share the same name. Really pleasantly surprised! Reasonably busy for a Thursday but not overly, there was a nice atmosphere. Service was very friendly. We both had the schnitzel, only caution I would say is that there is a small option for a reason! The normal option comes with two big pieces, but they were cooked really well and sides were great. Will have to come again!

A hidden gem in Berlin, food was exceptional service was quick however it was a little quiet and so lacked a decent atmosphere perhaps due to it being a Sunday.

The risotto with chicken and balsamic sauce was pretty good, but the crêpes suzet as a dessert were unfortunately not so good...although the ice cream with it was pretty good. A restaurant to recommend.

I was there again with friends after 2 years because I actually had good memories of it. Today we didn't really like the price/performance ratio. We all had breakfast, which cost an average of €15 without drinks. However, the portions were relatively small and we all left the restaurant still hungry. I wouldn't go there again if I was really hungry. The quality of the products and the service were 1a.

Schon die Tischreservierung gelang sehr freundlich. Ein gepflegtes Restaurant mit nicht allzu großer, dafür exquisiter Karte, Speisen wie Getränke. Vegetarisch geht auch bestens. Man sitzt gut und wird aufmerksam umsorgt. Kleinere Änderungen am Menü bringt man lächelnd unter und die Gerichte schmecken hervorragend. Wir wollten zum Nachtisch nix "mächtiges" oder süßes, etwas frisches und erhielten mit einem stolzen Strahlen ein Himbeersorbet, das nicht auf der Karte stand und wohl eher zufällig eben fertig wurde. Ein Hochgenuß. Man fühlt sich hier gut aufgehoben. Das alles zu vernünftigen Preisen. Leider wohnen wir zu weit weg....

Essen sehr gut. 3 gelangweilte junge Frauen im Service, die größte mit dunklem Zopf ist in der Gastronomie leider völlig verkehrt und agierte unseres Erachtens geschäftsschädigend. Nachdem sie uns an einen Tisch umplatzierte, der nicht reserviert war, mussten wir entgegen der Absprache dort nach 2 Stunden gehen, da er nun auch reserviert war. Ohne Vorwarnung und unser Gespräch unterbrechend kassierte sie ab. An einer Lösung war sie nicht interessiert. Der letzte Satz lautete, dass wir ja nicht wiederkommen müssen. DANKE. Mit soviel Liebe hatten wir gar nicht gerechnet- am Valentinstag

This inconspicuous restaurant turned out to be a real delight! The dishes were all very delicious and the quality was excellent. Considering the portion size, the prices were absolutely reasonable. Service is in keeping with “Berlin hospitality”.
