Zur Brückenwirtin in Oldenburg (Oldb)

Hello everyone. I saw mostly German cuisine here. We were actually here yesterday for a birthday, the beer prices were a bit expensive for me. The location of the restaurant is great, you have the chance to sit outside by the canal. We had a generally normal time here.

We spontaneously decided to go to Brückenwirten. I can say it was a good decision. We actually got a free table outside at lunchtime. After a short arrival, the service staff was immediately there and presented us with the cards. After studying the menu for a few minutes we were able to order straight away, everything went very quickly and we promptly got drinks and then our food. Five different dishes, beautifully prepared and super tasty. All in all highly recommended!!! 👍🏻Portions enough to fill you up.

A modern inn at its best!! ☺️ This is how home-style cooking should be. The schnitzels are super tasty. We've been here several times as a group to eat kale or asparagus - it's just great! Definitely a big recommendation

Ambience great. Depending on the crowd, the appropriate volume. Food was actually good. Great German cuisine. However, my fried potatoes came to the table cold and the meat was only lukewarm. The drink we ordered didn't even arrive. Everything from my husband's food was great. We would still visit the location again, as we don't want to say that it isn't worth a visit because of these "small" defects. Maybe there was just too much to do or something. Therefore we can and want to say it is recommended :)

Very tasty German food with a big serving! Don't underestimate it, I couldn't finish my dessert! Very recommended, and the staff was very nice, even with the language barrier (as I don't speak German)

My wife and I went to the restaurant for the first time with friends. Everyone was very satisfied. The dishes are excellent and inexpensive. The service was also very good. We will definitely come back.

The Bergsteiger Schnitzel is huge and juicy and delicious. Wednesdays are Händl day. The half merchant was nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

We really enjoy going to the Brückenwirtin. The food is hearty and very tasty. Here you simply know what you are getting. Always my pleasure.

Highly recommended! We were there on Haxenmontag. The knuckles were really tasty and the beer selection was great! The service is attentive and courteous. The atmosphere: Authentic! Be sure to reserve in the evening. The beer garden is one of the most beautiful in Oldenburg.

We were registered for dinner with eight people (seven of them for spare ribs - to eat enough). The first and only drink came quickly and the only "load" of ribs didn't take long to arrive. That was the only highlight. After almost an hour and asking if there would be more, we realized that we had been completely forgotten not only about the food, but also about the drinks. Other guests were directed to neighboring tables so we were not out of sight of the staff. The staff then tried to placate us, but the feeling of fullness had long since arrived and even a snap or coffee drink couldn't have helped. Last but not least, when we billed we were charged the full amount for the meal. Conclusion...if the weather is good, don't make a reservation inside, as the staff like the fire department will put out the thirsty fires in the beer garden and unfortunately the guests will be "forgotten" in the restaurant. We as a group have already gotten to know the service differently and hope that the usual service will be used again on our next visit.

Absolute recommendation! There's really nothing off the shelf here. Everything tastes fantastic, even the bread is amazing and last but not least, Bavarian beer on tap. What more could you want

I can highly recommend this place. The ambience, the food and the staff fit together perfectly. The outdoor area directly on the Hunte is also really good 👍

The restaurant is in a very nice location (just a construction site because the bridge was being demolished). The atmosphere was very cozy and the service was super nice and attentive. My husband had sausage salad, which was ok. I had Kaiserschmarren, very dry and too much hard sugar. Apple sauce was very tasty. The beer tasted great.

Service was extremely unfriendly and condescending. Won't be going there again. There was no food for us.

First of all: the food was really delicious. There's nothing else to say. The big BUT in this place is the service. Not the nice lady with the short blonde hair. She was very nice and accommodating. But the man with the glasses was a disaster. From rude remarks to a very unpleasant situation where a Lillet tipped over and the customer was blamed, there was everything. We all come from the catering industry and know how to serve food, and this was definitely not what we expected. We then told the nice, blonde lady everything, who took our complaint very seriously. So the food 10/10 and the service unfortunately 1/10 and the star is because of the nice blonde woman.

I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant... we had lunch there on March 15th and enjoyed it so much that we immediately made a reservation for March 16th. Friendliness is a top priority here, and the customer is king. The price/performance ratio is also unbeatable.

The food was very tasty and the portions were good, but our waiter took a lot of getting used to. The other service staff, however, were very friendly. Ambience very nice, location also very nice.

Unfortunately this time it was rather unfriendly and the reserved table was given to our guests as "unknown".

With the best kale and especially pee that I have eaten out so far. Of course, no one could touch Grandma, but everyone ate at our last company party. The fried potatoes were also delicious, crunchy just as it should be. A little crowded but otherwise a great evening. And very friendly staff :)

We were there to eat cabbage. Everything was really great. The service was very quick. Everyone enjoyed the food. Always my pleasure.

Booked yesterday for work with a group (10 people). Despite the promotional day, no more half chickens from 6:30 p.m. This caused some dissatisfaction as the reason for the reservation. Drinks tasty and cold. Unfortunately my dish (cabbage donuts) was only lukewarm and cold on the inside. Not freshly baked for me, just warmed up. Still tastes good. There is room for improvement...

We were in the restaurant during the “Haxenwoche” and ate a Haxenburger. The meat is tender and very tasty. Unfortunately the burger was very cold and the side salad was boring and very salty. The service was ok. - But it's not enough for more. The gentleman who served us seemed listless and wasn't particularly friendly. Since my first visit a few weeks ago was better, I'll try again when I get the chance. Sometimes you just “caught” a bad day at the restaurant.

Very tasty food. There are also some great vegan and vegetarian dishes. Great service and very friendly people. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately I got napkin dumplings with the sauce from Königsberger-Klopsen (which I had ordered). The cook got the package that looked exactly the same and was similarly labeled. An apology was made and the dish was taken off the bill. So far good. But I was not offered an alternative meal. I honestly didn't expect finished products at that price. All in all rather sad.

Been there again after a long time. Map has been improved. Very versatile and also vegan. Reservation good and necessary. Service staff appropriate to the inn, a bit rough, cheeky and funny. Everyone is attentive and quick. The food comes to the table pretty quickly. In the kebab and pizza jungle of the city, something different, more local cuisine that is well made.

We occasionally go to the Brückenwirtin, so far the food, drinks and service have been quite good. But today we were there, found a table for my husband and I... we wanted to eat and drink, that's what we said. We sat down and got out our playing cards to pass the waiting time. The waitress came shortly afterwards with the menu and explained to us that playing cards was not allowed here, so we could please pack them up again. The reason for this was that groups of card players are not welcome at their place, but that applies to everyone. I understand that in the sense that card players may make less sales than diners and, among other things, occupy a table all evening. Okay, but for waiting guests who don't primarily play cards, like us, you should probably see it differently. It was not possible to talk to the lady. So we left and took our money to another pub. They were very surprised when we asked whether we could also play cards…

Delicious rustic food at reasonable prices.

The food was very tasty and the pike perch was delicious 😋 and the friendly staff hope everything stays that way for you. Only the bridge construction site outside is not so nice and there are no parking spaces for visitors who come to the Brückenwirtin from further away. I would like to come back with my family and the bowling club. Were just there on Sunday.

We were here on Boxing Day with the whole family. The food was super tasty and came together really quickly. As always, the staff were in a great mood and even an extra request was fulfilled. Absolutely recommended if you love hearty food. Keep it up

I have to say the food is really good, it's best to reserve in advance otherwise you won't get a table. I can always recommend the schnitzel, the salad is fresh, the sauces are very hearty. If you want to eat real home cooking, this is the right place for you. The food is served quickly, if mistakes happen, such as incorrect side dishes, they are corrected immediately. Unfortunately there is a star deduction because some of the staff were annoyed. They are friendly right at the table, but since we were sitting near the counter, we overheard discussions between the staff about who was annoyed by whom and how stressful it was. That was unpleasant and I think we could pull ourselves together a bit. But maybe we really had a bad day. Nevertheless, I would always come back and recommend the restaurant.

One of my favorite location in Oldenburg. You always feel welcome, there is a great, positive atmosphere because the boss and the staff are simply great. The dishes are exactly my thing, very tasty. Always a pleasure - in the beer garden in summer, indoors in winter!

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated somewhat. A “Bavarian outfit” for the waitress would also be desirable during the Christmas season.

We had our Christmas party in the restaurant last Friday. All 44 people were happy with the food, the waiters were really on their toes and always friendly and always willing to have fun. Really a successful evening. The atmosphere is rather rustic. Not really my thing, but it's all very consistent. Only 4 stars here, but more based on my personal taste. Toilet clean. Easy to reach by bike. By car it could be more difficult with a parking space, but definitely not impossible 😉

Typical Bavarian menu, complemented by a few hearty Nordic dishes such as: B. Knipp. The waiter is more of a North German type, not unfriendly, but taciturn, you have to warm up to it first, then it'll work. ;-) The furnishings are a little old-fashioned. All in all a successful evening.

The restaurant was half empty, so I sat down at a free table. Over the next 15 minutes, two service employees walked past me about ten times without noticing me. Then someone spoke to me from behind and told me that I couldn't stay here - the table was reserved. I looked a little confused because there was no sign to this effect anywhere. But I just wanted to eat well and not have a fight, so I got up and asked for another seat. That wasn't possible and I had to go now, I was told, because everything was reserved and there was no more room. It was incredibly busy - as I said, the restaurant was half empty. I have never seen such rude staff in a restaurant. NEVER AGAIN!

Food and drinks came quickly after ordering. My beer was not cold enough, and the French fries were partially very hard. Schnitzel was ok though.

Wir waren schon des öfteren bei der Brückenwirtin und sehr zufrieden. Allerdings heute ging es gar nicht, war wohl der falsche Koch am Werk. Teuerstes Menü, Allgäuer Zwiebelrostbraten, hochgetürmt, Bratkartoffeln, Bohnen alles schwamm in Soße, eine einzige Masche und obendrauf Röstzwiebeln in unvorstellbarer Menge Alles in allem, nicht wirklich appetitlich, das haben wir sonst anders erlebt, sehr schade

Munich is far away, but Oldenburg is on the doorstep. Thanks to Nils and his bridge landlady for Bavarian flair on the doorstep. PS: Your knuckle is great!

Rustic, top service, tasty, decent portions

Friendly service and delicious desserts. We had Schupfnudeln and Kaiserschmarren. I can only speak to the ambience from outside. Here you can sit nicely on a terrace. The bridge opposite will probably no longer be built, but it would be nice 😉

The food was ok, the Obatzda was delicious, the beer was also delicious. We sat inside, next time we'll try outside.

Delicious schnitzel and strudel. Highly recommended if you like southern German food. It is advisable to make a reservation in advance.

The staff is just great, always up for fun. The food (especially the pork knuckles) was again top class. The beer is great as always.

The Brückenort has now really developed into a great meeting place in Osternburg. The beer garden and the Bavarian brewery dishes are really great. The service is very professional and quick. The chairs could be a bit more comfortable. You have to be careful with the portions, some are really huge and hard to manage. All in all, a Bavarian highlight in the middle of Oldenburg.

Very nice beer garden located directly on the canal. Very easy to reach by bike or on foot. There are a lot of trees in the beer garden, so the climate there is very pleasant. The service staff is very quick and friendly. The food is excellent. Potions sizes are very good.

Waiters were nice but firm. Food was good. Bierkutscher steak tastes good. The dessert with strudel is okay, but from the microwave. The Kaiserschmarn is caramelized and therefore sweet and hard. We didn't expect that.

Nice place in the beer garden, every now and then a barge comes by, shady under the trees. Very nice, especially on hot days.

I went here for dinner with five friends. The beer garden outside was very well attended. We had reserved a table. But sat inside. Phew very warm 😉 The food was very tasty. I had a check burger with fries, I couldn't decide what to eat. Half chicken, sausage plate with Krakauer, Weißwurst and...I think Nuremberger with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. Everything sounded very tasty. We all enjoyed it very much. We will definitely come here again

At the recommendation of the waiter, my father and I ordered the goulash and it was a real culinary delight. The beef was so tender, the sauce wasn't too salty, just perfect. The weather was also in our favor, so we took a seat outside in the garden and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather. The service was great, the waiter, whose name I don't know, wanted me to cross the bridge in the water, but I still came across dry. Haha humor is there and I recommend it to everyone!

Munich / Bayern in Oldenburg :-) Typical restaurant as you see in Munich with the same menu. Friendly service and delicious food. More than enough. Was delivered quickly. After a day at Famila Einkaufsland Wechloy, eat a delicious Wienerschnitzel at Zur Brückenwirtin. In summer there is also a beer garden. View is also beautiful on an old bridge that is being renovated? Will definitely come back!

Due to the approaching storm, a service representative was slightly overwhelmed and also unfriendly. Were about to leave... The food was great and the staff was also great. But to everyone: don't forget to smile and relax... everyone understands.

Spontaneously stopped by this afternoon... something so great and delicious in our city 🤩 if only we had gotten to know it sooner. All in all 5 ⭐️ Thank you for this relaxing afternoon
