Totally cozy, super tasty tapas. The cocktails are also recommended. It was pretty full, so we waited a little longer, which wasn't a problem in this cozy atmosphere. Again any time.

Encouraged by the barometer, we were very satisfied with 5 tapas and bread with aioli....delicious, and the fact that there are tapas at such a location for 5 euros....was a long time ago.....thanks to the nice waiter, we'd love to come back

Totally authentic restaurant with traditional tapas. Service was great, the food was really good and the quality was great. The atmosphere is really impressive! Spain in Oldenburg 🇪🇸

Price/performance ratio not ok. The prices are clearly too high, the food is tasty, but - considering the prices - not outstanding. The service is friendly, but slow and not particularly attentive. The ambience itself is nice because of the rooms, but the lighting is not well coordinated at all. Sometimes you are blinded at the tables, sometimes you sit in the dark that you can't even decipher the menu.

Unfortunately, almost all of the employees were absent that evening. The other service was overloaded even though only 5 tables were occupied. We had to wait 1 hour for the food. The portions were very small and we weren't really full, even though we had a bill of almost €100 that evening. The bread with ajioli was four slices of a mini baguette, the kind I also use for baking. Despite the not good service and the long waiting time, there was no bread to tide me over or a little attention from the boss, luckily I know it differently. It's a shame, apparently the change in ownership didn't do any good?

Fallafel were far too salty and the service staff always seemed annoyed. I'll probably save myself a second visit.

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time, even though it was maybe half full. The order was taken after about 40 minutes, drinks came 15 minutes later and food came again 15 minutes later. The tapas were okay.

We were there for the first time, We first looked at the inside restaurant, Beautiful atmosphere and just looks amazing. Nevertheless, we ate outside due to the nice weather, The food was really a 9/10 Despite different preparation times, the food came to the table at the same time We'd love to come back!

A very nice restaurant in the vaulted cellar. Very cozy. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. We ate the Caldero tapas plate for two people. It cost almost 50 euros. It was simply far too little for that! For example, only 1 (!) shrimp and 2 small meatballs were provided per person. The rest is sufficient for at most 1 person. So I was disappointed. The value of the goods was a maximum of 7 euros. The taste was good, but not special. It's a shame, because it's really very comfortable there.

Service completely overloaded, food "a little" oversalted, toilets broken. Despite the few guests, the service at the table was very slow and the espresso was almost cold. The tapas plate itself had enough potatoes, but meat was very sparse. Tastes okay if you like salt. Had promised us more.

Today we were in the Caldero for the first time (three of us) and were very positively surprised by the vaulted cellar. The cards arrived quickly and the order was taken. We ordered 10 different little things (we shared everything) and 1 drink each. Bringing the drinks, food and the bill took longer than we are used to at other restaurants. But it didn't hurt the ambience or the taste/presentation of the food. We averaged €21 and we were all pleasantly full. I can really recommend this restaurant. However, if you are still limited in terms of time, you should come back another time :-)

We first had to see where we could get to the Caledro. Pretty quickly we would be asked for drinks and food. I think the waiting time was still reasonable. The food was well prepared but in my opinion a little too little for two people when both are hungry. We had a plate for two. A little more spice would have been better for me, I know how it works when it's not too spicy because I have younger kids. All in all it was a nice visit and tasted good.

I always enjoy being in the Caldero. Very cozy atmosphere, Spanish music in the background, great wines and very tasty food. From tapas to fish to paella, everything is there. A great selection of wines and the service gives you great advice. Whether just for a glass of wine or a long, cozy evening with food. The 1st address for me is in Oldenburg: Caldero.

As a long-time customer at Caldero, I can only say: - Food: Delicious and refined - Service: Outstanding (courteous, attentive and warm-hearted) - Ambiance: Extraordinary “vaulted feeling” A visit is definitely worth it!

We were here for a wine tasting. Super organized, delicious wine and food. Maybe only a minimal improvement (not a criticism): There was a buffet and the food was not labeled. As an allergy sufferer you had to look very closely.

Unfortunately not so nice. Ok, the tappas weren't bad. We were looking forward to the paella, but the rice was still hard and burnt. Much too dry in everything. And for me, a big criterion is the sanitary facilities. Terrible . It smelled when you opened the door to the toilets. So I'm no longer drawn there

Gorgeous cellar, great ambiance, really poor execution. Food lacks seasoning, each dish swimming in grease, chairs uncomfortable, overpriced. Shocked to read comments above saying food excellent. Even the aoli tastes like helmans out of a jar with no garlic. Very disappointing. Creme of tomato Pasta was tasteless penne with no tomato and you can see the pool of grease on each plate. Needs better chefs, better ingredients, some care by the owners! and then the place would be great!

I went there to eat with my family and was served super fresh and great food. The service was always friendly, asked if everything was OK and if something was missing, which is something you rarely get in a restaurant these days. The food was excellent, especially the “tapas plate”, I would come back for that! At the end of the day, that’s what makes a good restaurant! Among other things, there is an incredibly wide and delicious variety of dishes there. The plates are beautifully arranged, almost an art. I can only recommend Caldero and say that I will eat there again and again as a guest.

Accidental discovery and a pure success! My friends and I had a lot of fun. The food was delicious and allergies and requests were also taken into account. A pure success in my opinion was the tapas plate, the warm bread with the aioli and the prawns...a dream. The atmosphere, the curves on the ceiling, the furnishings and the music are coordinated and seem totally warm, comfortable and cozy to me! The service is courteous and warm. My girls and I enjoyed the evening and went home happy and with full tummies. We'd love to come back, thank you!

Friends, family, acquaintances, we have all been visiting the Caldero for years! Top service staff, very affordable, the food tastes great and is always served fresh! I can only recommend ! My family and I recently ate there and it's an absolute no-go. So it's just a disgrace to be served imitation food from a Spanish country by people who come from Islam and prepare Spanish food in the kitchen. Food from their country should be served rather than imitating other countries - that's not possible at all. A Spanish restaurant should have real Spanish food on the table that is prepared by real Spaniards and not something like that. THEN they all walk around in masks, including in the kitchen. A restaurant like this should be closed and given a tightening on top because they are deceiving people.

Finally a restaurant from Oldenburg where the wishes of the guests are taken into account. Very friendly and attentive staff. The chefs clearly know their stuff and conjure up some really tasty food for the guests. You feel comfortable in the beautiful ambience. If you're looking for something decent for a nice evening in Oldenburg, I can definitely recommend the Caldero.

Wir waren zu zweit hier zum Abendessen. Die Bedienung sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben verschiedene Tapas bestellt. Einige waren phänomenal, die Garnelen z.B. wirklich lecker, ein wenig pikant. Chorizo (warm) klasse, Die Weine gut. Alles ins allem eine schöne Erfahrung.

Complete crash landing. We can only recommend this restaurant. We stopped there spontaneously last night. Our waiter (Mustafa?) was a dream. Every dish was explained. As a passionate Caldero goer, today was my last evening in the restaurant. Not only have the prices increased massively, the quantity of food has also been significantly reduced at the same time. In 2022, the legendary seafood platter was full to the brim. Today it was unfortunately very manageable, dry and well-done. The side dishes such as artichokes, stuffed peppers and Spanish Serrano ham were ready-made products like those you would find in the supermarket. Unfortunately, there was even some separating film in the Serrano, which you know from breakfast at home when you open the package and want to take out the first slice. Something like that absolutely doesn't belong in a restaurant and especially not in one of this price range! For us, despite great anticipation, it was a very disappointing evening without any enjoyment. In my opinion, value for money is now a 3 out of 10... After criticizing the food, we were given a 25% discount to be fair. A small consolation. Quantity and fresh quality should be urgently adjusted. Otherwise the price cannot be justified in any way. It's a shame, because it used to be my favorite in Oldenburg.

I am deeply sorry not to recommend this restaurant. Food was underwhelming. Ajoli was more Edeka Majo than Spanish national sauce. And unfortunately the rest was not good at all except massively expensive. The waiter was very nice but we didn't get any drinks. We stopped eating and went to another restaurant and continued eating. Sorry but I was very disappointed.

This is the second time I've been to the Caldero and I think the atmosphere in the vaulted cellar is really nice! Unfortunately I have to say that neither the food nor the service blew me away. All the dishes I've had so far tasted okay, but in my opinion the quality was far below what I would expect for the prices and nothing that I could remember. Unfortunately, the service was very improved on both visits and the waiting time for simple dishes was extremely long. However, it is positive to note that at least criticism is being responded to. I hope the restaurant can improve the service and quality of the food in the future, otherwise I would probably come back just for a drink in a cozy atmosphere.

We love coming here very often. We particularly like that the food is freshly prepared and hardly any convenience products are used. We are happy to accept a longer waiting time for this. The service staff is always very attentive and courteous. We recommend that if you want Spanish tapas, give Caldero a chance!

Ein Recht verstecktes aber super schönes tolles Restaurant. Echter Geheimtipp. Ambiente ist der Hammer, super leckere Tapas. Immer wieder.

Relativ teuer aber seinen Preis ausch wert. Sehr netter Service, tolles Ambiente und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen.

Der mittelalterliche Gewölbekeller hat einen ganz gemütlichen Charme. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich und für einen da. Meine Freundin und ich haben uns eine Tapas Mixtaplatte bestellt. Wir fanden den Preis pro Person auch total in Ordnung. Wahnsinn, war das lecker. Am Ende waren wir satt und glücklich. Vielen Dank für diesen schönen Abend 👍

Es war wie immer alles schön und lecker! Es war alles frisch und heiß,Personal nett und vor allem haben wir pünktlich unser Essen gekriegt !

Wir waren letztes Wochenende dort und ich muss sagen, dass ich wirklich beeindruckt bin! Ich wusste gar nicht, dass man doch noch richtig leckere Tapas & Co. (abseits von Systemgastronomie) in Oldenburg essen kann. Der Laden war gut gefüllt, aber die Kellnerin (Maria?!) war stets freundlich und zuvorkommend. Hatte wirklich lange nicht mehr so einen schönen und entspannten Abend! Den warmen Fetakäse mit Brot kann ich nur empfehlen. Das wird garantiert nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen sein! Danke und liebste Grüße an das Team.

Tolles Ambiente, wenn auch durch das Kellergewölbe bei hoher Auslastung sehr hoher Geräuschpegel. Bedienung war soweit nett, Wartezeit bis zum Essen noch annehmbar. Das Essen selber gut, wenn auch nicht überragend. Gestört haben wir uns an den Details: Unter anderem wurde die Mojo in Plastikschälchen serviert, die Toilette war sehr verschmutzt und die Crema catalana zum Nachtisch war mit an Sicherheit grenzender Wahrscheinlichkeit ein komplettes Fertigprodukt, wie man es quasi genau so auch bei einem bekannten Discounter kaufen kann. Die Reste der Aluabdeckung waren auf dem Glasrand noch zu sehen und die karamellisierte Zuckerschicht war nur an einer Ecke leidlich vorhanden. So etwas sollte in einem Restaurant nicht serviert werden, da darf man deutlich mehr erwarten! Schade, hat uns in der Summe leider nicht überzeugt.

Reserviert für 19 Uhr. Bestellung 19:20 Uhr, Getränke kamen 19:40 Uhr, Essen kam um 21:10 Uhr. Ähnlich bei anderen Gästen zu beobachten. Ganz ehrlich…. das war echt enttäuschend! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist enorm schlecht. Man mag es auf Personalmangel schieben, aber wir waren höchst unzufrieden und waren das letzte Mal dort. Schade für ein an sich tolles Ambiente. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Ein sehr gemütliches Ambiente mit nettem Servicepersonal. Super freundliche Begrüßung, nette Beratung beim bestellen. Für mich gab es absolut nichts auszusetzen. Die Gerichte waren ein Traum. Jedem der mal nen netten entspannten Abend verbringen will kann ich diese Lokalität nur herzlichen empfehlen. Ich freue mich schon jetzt auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Wir waren gestern das erste mal dort, und es hat uns sehr gefallen. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Auf jeden Fall kommen wir bestimmt wieder. Aber man sollte vorher einen Tisch reservieren.

Am 20.9 um 18h waren meine Frau und ich dort, da wir nach dem Essen rechtzeitig zu einem Konzert müssten. Wir haben sage und schreibe fast 1 1/2Std auf die kalte Vorspeise und allgemein auf die Tapas gewartet. Der Vorspeisenteller hätte nach 15min mit ein paar Scheiben chourico und Käse sowie Oliven beim Kunden sein müssen. Es war leider nur ein Kellner dort, der eine überragende Freundliche zuvorkommende Art uns gegenüber hatte und nichts dafür konnte. Die Köchin befand sich in der Küche ebenfalls alleine. Es machte den Eindruck es fehlte definitv Personal! Mit dem Konzert um 20h war eine Kappe Angelegenheit. Beurteilung der Speisen: Kalte Garnelen, kalte Kartoffeln etc. Möchte nicht weiter aufholen. Ich war letzten Jahres schonmal dort, da sah die Situation definitv anders aus sprich Personal und natürlich die Speisen die am Tisch serviert wurden. Wir werden Caldero leider nicht mehr besuchen. Da war uns dass Geld zu schade. Mfg Marques

Eine vorzügliche tapasplatte in gemütlicher Atmosphäre!

Waren hier nach 2-3 Jahren mal wieder zum Essen. Das Ambiente überzeugt dank des wunderschönen Gewölbekellers vollkommen und auch draußen sitzt man gut und gerne. Der Service war zuvorkommend und schnell am Tisch. Leider finde ich das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der Tapas, im Bezug auf ihre Größe, überhaupt nicht angemessen. Wenn man zu zweit für über 50€ 8 Tapas bestellt, kann man schon erwarten gesättigt zu sein, obwohl reichlich Brot vorweg gereicht wurde! Das war nicht der Fall und leider war der Großteil der Speisen nur lauwarm. Geschmeckt hat es trotzdem gut. Schade ist auch, dass die "großen" Gerichte von der Karte verschwunden sind und leider ist es schwer zu beurteilen wie viele Tapas ausreichen, um den Hunger zu besänftigen - die Preise suggerieren hingegen eine größere Menge. Jeder hat Verständnis für gestiegene Kosten, aber für das was wir an Menge geboten bekommen haben rechtfertigt das meiner Meinung nach nicht. Die Meinung teilten auch andere Gäste, die das Restaurant verließen und sich darüber unterhielten (…und 2 Häuser weiter zu subway hinein gingen) Einen Wein oder ein Getränk würden wir hier gerne wieder trinken gehen, zum Essen werden wir nicht wiederkommen - Schade..

Nettes Kellerlokal, zentrale Lage, super freundliches Personal, die Küche hat mich mit der Tapasplatte für 2 Personen nicht in ihren Bann gezogen.

Wir wollten Mal wieder Tapas essen. Da unser lieblings Spanier am Rondell ja leider nicht mehr gibt müssten wir uns nach einer Alternative umschauen. so sind wir aufs Caldero gestossen. Schon oft gesehen da mehr oder weniger über dem Restaurant unser Einkaufs Lakritz Laden liegt. Durch eine Treppe gelangt man in ein sehr schönes Kellergewölbe. Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Speisekarte ist klein und fein. Ein ruhige schöne Atmosphäre. Es laufen keine Hektischen Kellner rum. Alles hat die typische Spanische Gelassenheit. Essen und Getränke waren top. Kommen wieder.

Super nette und tolle Atmosphäre, sowohl drinnen als auch neuerdings draußen. Die Tapas- und Weinauswahl ist sehr vielfältig und so ist für jeden etwas dabei. Das Caldero kann ich jedem ans Herz legen der einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen möchte.

Alles nur noch mittelmäßig. Ende Februar hingen immernoch Kreidetafeln im Gastraum, die ein "Happy new year" wünschen, und so verstaubt habe ich die Lokalität noch nicht gesehen. Auf der total veralteten Webseite, wird dienstags der Vinotag ausgerufen, in den Karten findet man hierzu aber nichts. Darauf angesprochen, gab es dann nicht den Hauswein, aber andere zum Spezialpreis...der war dann bei Rechnung aber doch wieder höher. Karten sind Klemmbretter, je nach Zufall unterschiedlich bestückt. Service wirkte überfordert, war aber dennoch bemüht. Das Essen war aber lecker und rettet die Bewertung, der Wein von lecker bis geht so. Ist halt Geschmackssache. Als das Caldero eröffnet hat, war es ganz schick, so aktuell würde ich meine Tapas lieber wo anders verzehren. Schade, zur Zeit des Erdinger Kellers, war es häufiger Anlaufpunkt.

Sehr Freundliches Personal, Essen Top besonders der Schafskäse kam alles schnell zum Tisch und tolles Ambiente sowie eine gute Wein Auswahl. Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch

Wir hatten die Absicht, den Barometer Gutschein für eine Paella einzulösen. Leider war dieses Gericht gar nicht auf der Karte. Leider sehr enttäuschend.

Wir waren gestern mal wieder hier essen und müssen den teils desaströsen Bewertungen widersprechen! Die Atmosphäre ist weiterhin großartig, wir wurden von Anfang an sehr freundlich bedient (auch als es im Verlauf voller wurde) und die Tapas haben durchweg gut geschmeckt (auf wenn man in Spanien natürlich bessere erhält ;-)). Die Preise sind aber definitiv relativ hoch, das sollte man beachten! Sonst können wir nichts negatives berichten und das Restaurant war zum Abend nahezu voll belegt. Man sollte sich hier definitiv ein eigenes Bild!

Wir haben uns auf einen netten Tapasabend mit Wein gefreut, aber leider hat das Lokal unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Die Tapasteller (mit und ohne Fleisch) kamen mit einer Auswahl an verschiedenen mehr oder weniger spanischen Tapas daher (Falafel?). Die Zubereitung war recht lieblos und geschmacklich ausbaufähig (das kriegen wir besser hin). Insbesondere die traditionellen Salzkartoffeln sind wirklich nicht schwer zuzubereiten, aber hier fehlte die übliche Salzkruste nahezu vollständig. Ansonsten gabs qualitativ mittelmäßige Produkte (Lachsscheiben aus der Verpackung). Das nette Ambiente (draußen als auch im Gewölbekeller) könnte aus unserer Sicht eine deutlich bessere Küche vertragen. Vielleicht sind andere Speisen besser… aber Tapas würden wir nicht empfehlen.
