Zur Alten Bäckerei in Mühlhausen/Thüringen

It truly was a dream. Despite the very short notice in the afternoon, we were able to accommodate a birthday party of 16 people there that same day and celebrate my grandma's birthday. Everyone was super friendly, especially when we discovered that there is also a restaurant with that name in Mulhouse, which Google Maps shows as the "right" one. But that's not the case. The real "Gaststätte Deutsches Haus" is located in Büttstett and is run by a wonderful couple. All dishes are freshly prepared, and requests are catered for. They even had vegetarian options. The mushroom pan is highly recommended. It was truly the best meal we had all weekend and, for me personally, one of the best and friendliest restaurants I've ever visited. Without the wonderful staff, we would never have been able to throw such a wonderful party for my grandma. Thank you ^^

I haven't experienced such a bad restaurant with such a bad atmosphere and ambiance in a long time. Despite ordering, there wasn't enough food, so some guests got something else. Furthermore, the food was cold and not appealing on the plate. They served this kind of thing in the 90s, and it was fine then. It's just not up to today's standards. I also thought the fact that the soup ended up on my skirt was deplorable; I don't want to say anything else. I'm just pissed off.

No food offerings, just drinks Facilities simple and. Simply.

After our later arrival, the German House was our last resort to get something to eat. Despite a larger celebration in the restaurant, we would still be pushed in. Thanks for that. Staff very nice, small menu with down-to-earth home-made cuisine. Everything was in order. Pleasant prices.

The new landlord was very friendly and helpful. Very good food, price performance ratio is right. Very friendly staff. Dogs are allowed.

Pleasantly surprised: Good food, very nice service and everything beautifully decorated for Christmas (had a Christmas party there today)...will definitely be back....

Unfortunately I'm there too rarely, but it's always nice. Meeting old acquaintances again and getting to know new people, everything is possible there.

Delicious dishes at fair prices. I think the selection of different dishes is very good and so far everything has tasted very good

A very rustic little room, kept simple, but we still felt very comfortable. The menu is full of old German classics...the portions are generous and the prices are great.

nice, simple little restaurant - unbeatable prices - great selection - delicious cuisine like before - we actually just wanted to look at the old bakery and lo and behold - there was a wonderful restaurant in it - we enjoyed it very much - and it was very lunchtime too well attended.

Sehr einfache,aber saubere Gaststätte. Der Wirt kam sofort zu uns und brachte uns die Karte. Sehr tolles Speiseangebot und die Preise sind der Hammer. Essen war reichlich und total 😋. So ein Preis- Leistungsverhältnis habe ich seit Jahren nicht mehr erlebt. Lokalität war auch sehr gut besucht. Kann man nur weiterempfehlen. Wahnsinn. 🙂🙂🙂

Eines der wenigen Lokale, in dem man noch sehr gut und sehr günstig Essen kann. Schlichtes Ambiente, keine überladene Speisekarte, und dennoch regionale Gerichte hervorragend zubereitet. Ich hatte mal eine Kohlroulade mit Salzkartoffeln. Leute, das war so lecker 😋, dass ich heute noch davon Schwärme.
