Zum Zwickel Bad Cannstatt in Stuttgart

There were 6 of us today. I had a Maultaschen soup first. The main course was 5 onion roasts and a ribeye steak, each with salad and various side dishes. The soup was super tasty, pleasantly spiced broth with delicious Maultaschen, the salad was super tasty (raw vegetable salads with leaf lettuce), all super tasty and incredibly tasty dressing. Everyone at the table was thrilled. When the main course came, everyone had great expectations, but when we took our first bite, all expectations were exceeded again. Everything is simply incredibly delicious!!! We were served personally by the boss and simply had an incredibly lovely evening and I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

I ate a damn tasty onion roast here - the taste was really great! Another highlight is the Hirsch beer, which is rarely found in Stuttgart. The landlord was also super friendly and it was easy to talk to him. A big negative point: no card payment possible. I had to make a special trip to the ATM and pay a high fee to withdraw cash. Incomprehensible to me these days. Conclusion: If you want to enjoy good food and a cold Hirsch beer, this is the right place for you. The only downside is the lack of card payment - but if you know about it you can adjust to it 😉

Nice, small restaurant away from all the walking areas. We liked it and the “Maultäschle” were great! Still, tram around the corner and easily accessible!

The best roast onion I've ever eaten.

This is the best place to eat a proper roast roast. Chef/cook is master butcher. Only buys quality and passes it on to your guests. The meat was excellently prepared, the fried potatoes were a dream, the beer was nice and cold. I'll be back. Note, cash payment only.

Ambiance has nothing to do with a restaurant, it's a pub. But the positive reviews and comments about the good roast roasts persuaded us to visit. And yes, the roasts here are good. Good meat, cooked perfectly medium. The portion size is also reasonable. There are other restaurants that only serve a steak half the size (for the same price). Delicious homemade potato salad, delicious fried potatoes and the Flädlesuppe was also more richly filled than we usually know. Here the host/chef doesn't skimp on the cost of goods and cooks with love. By the way: no card payment possible.

We went to eat in Zwickel today and have to say that neither of us have had such a good roast roast for a long time.... The meat is (was) really a dream, the best quality and the portions are also very good... So I don't understand who doesn't get enough here. Thank you very much and we'll be happy to come back.

Rustic pub in Bad Cannstatt with a focus on meat. If you like meat, this is the place for you, but vegetarians will have to look a little closer at the menu. I don't think I've ever had better French fries. Ambience more rustic than hipster-style. Special feature: there is beer from the HIRSCH brewery in Wurmlingen, not the typical Stuttgart beers. It's a shame that it closes at 10 p.m., you could have a wonderful time sitting here.

Best onion roast ever! Pub in the front and restaurant in the back. You can also eat at the counter. Very cozy and unbeatable in terms of price - €20.90 with a side dish. Addendum from 1/1/24 Yesterday, I was very disappointed with the New Year's menu. Seven courses, but the main course was opulently served to the regular guests while we watched something. Embarrassing, since we saw it first hand. I am very disappointed with such an approach and small-mindedness.

Nice ambience and good cuisine. As a master butcher, the chef knows how to handle meat. The atmosphere is very familiar.

Auch ein kleines gutbürgerliches Reataurant mit wechselnden Wochen- und Tagesangeboten. Besonders zu empfehlen ist hier Schnitzel mit Pommes oder wenn es angeboten wird, ein Grillteller. Das Restaurant befindet sich in einem abgelegenen Teil Bad Cannstatts in der Nähe der S-Bahn Haltestelle Nürnberger Strasse. Parken ist hier kein Problem. Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Restaurant hat ca. 15 Plätze innen. Reservieren ist nötig.

Super leckeres cordon Bleu mit knackigen Pommes! Der wirt ist sehr nett und kommunikativ :) Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Gutes schwäbisches Lokal. Sehr urig, Chef kocht noch selbst. Zwiebelrostbraten war sehr gut. Angenehme Atmosphäre.

Ich war gestern mit Begleitung zum ersten Mal hier. Das Essen war qualitativ hochwertig und frisch, geschmacklich und optisch wäre noch Luft nach oben (Suppe geschmacklos, Salat lange durchgezogen mit leckerem Kartoffelsalat, Fleisch (Zwiebelrostbraten bzw. Rumpsteak) von guter Qualität, aber sonst "08/15" zubereitet. Der Chef, der selbst kocht, hat entweder einen schlechten Tag gehabt (unfreundlich, wenig arbeitswillig, wollte pünktlich um 22 Uhr schließen) oder er ist immer so drauf. Dann gibt's beim nächsten Mal noch einen Stern Abzug. Haltestellen von S-Bahn und Stadtbahn in der Nähe.

Sehr nettes deutsches rustikales Restaurant (Kneipe). Essen gut bürgerlich zu sehr guten Preisen. Freundliches Personal und der Chef steht selbst in der Küche. Ambiente führt dazu, dass man schnell auch ins Gespräch mit anderen Gästen kommt. Sehr nett, auch einfach Mal abends noch einen Absacker zu sich zu nehmen.

Gut bürgerliche schwäbische Küche! Es hat uns sehr lecker geschmeckt. Wir werden definitiv mal wieder was abholen oder noch lieber in diesem schön urigen Lokal Platz nehmen.
