Simply fantastic! We came here without a reservation, just on a whim, and actually got the last but best table in the back corner. Anyone who loves German cuisine shouldn't miss this restaurant. And anyone who hasn't yet experienced German cuisine should definitely try it here. Every dish was a masterpiece! The prices are mid-range, but every bite was worth it. The very friendly and attentive service made for a wonderful evening. Thank you for this delightful culinary experience!

We spent a truly wonderful evening at "Zum Wenigemarkt 13." The ambiance and service were simply amazing. Even though it was a holiday and it got very busy, they took their time. The food was incredibly delicious (probably the best duck I've ever eaten). They were also very knowledgeable about celiac disease and gluten intolerance, and you can eat almost anything there (except for pasta and dumpling dishes, of course, although they did offer alternatives). We'll definitely be back 😊

Very tasty food, all hot, and very friendly service. I had the roulade with red cabbage and dumplings. It was a perfect lunch, and the seasoned meat before it was also a delight with crispy, high-quality mountain cheese.

Very delicious food – I had Thuringian dumplings with mushrooms. Dessert took a while to arrive, but it was exceptionally delicious and warm! Super fresh and crisp salad with fresh dressing.

Small shop with solid, traditional decor (though not my taste). German, Thuringian cuisine. I had the mushroom ragout, not bad, solid, but nothing special. I thought the price was excessive.

The potato dumplings and the sauce were delicious. The meat (in my case the duck’s breast and in the case of my friends the venison stew) was to either to hard or to dry… so there is an area where the kitchen can still improve. The service was okay. You can pop in and check it out if you want to.

Pretty good stuff. I went on a Friday at lunch which was an ideal time, not many other customers there so I had fast service. Food hit the spot - a good mix of protein, carbs, veggies.

Very good restaurant. I was here with a colleague who was recommended the restaurant due to his gluten intolerance. The dishes were actually mostly gluten-free. The German cuisine here is very tasty. Unfortunately, cars and motorcycles drove by regularly. Sometimes the cars were very loud, which I found very disturbing. However, the restaurant can't be blamed for that. I can still recommend this to everyone.

Very tasty food at reasonable prices. We had roulades and chicken with spiced meat. The portions were perfect.

There aren't many vegetarian options (going vegan could be very difficult), so only 4 stars. I had the seasonal fried mushrooms and was able to swap the Thuringian dumplings for a gluten-free dumpling. In general, the staff had a good idea of what was gluten-free and what wasn't. The goat cheese salad for €13.90 was also tasty, but probably too small if you're hungry.

A spontaneous visit was worth it: the chicken liver and beef roulades were exactly as we imagined. Fast, friendly service, and good beer (only the Kellerbier could have been a bit cooler). A definite recommendation.

Our anticipation of delicious beef roulades was slightly dampened by a wait of over an hour. But we would have gladly accepted that, had this otherwise delicious dish (at €23, no less) been what it was sold for. Unfortunately, what we received was a tough, marbled, and overly undercooked slab of meat. It was almost impossible to cut or chew this thing properly. Neither the taste nor the consistency justified the name roulade. We returned the plates disappointed. What a shame! Never again!

I love this restaurant for its beef roulades. However, on August 3, 2025, we had to wait 80 minutes for the roulades we ordered and were very disappointed with the quality. They were poorly seared, and the meat was stringy and tough. I sent the dish back and didn't pay. We were there with a child, and we had to ask for the children's menu.

The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and they serve wines from Thuringia! Unfortunately, if you sit outside, the cars drive by quite close.

I had the chicken liver, which was unfortunately completely overcooked/far too hard and dry. The portion was, as portions generally are, far too small. For a pensioner in their 70s, or a woman, the portion might be sufficient, but definitely not for a hungry, grown man. And when I pay almost €17 for two dumplings with a handful of dry liver and an incredibly oily sauce, and I'm anything but full, it's difficult to give a better review. Normally, a dish with chicken liver should never cost more than €7-10, unless I cooked it. Still, I'm glad there are still German restaurants that retain that lovely old-fashioned charm that's hard to find these days.

We searched half of Erfurt for a vegetarian dish with dumplings and we finally found it here! The food was incredibly tasty and the service was great!

In this restaurant the quality and service are still good, everything was great. The two of us stayed here with a reservation.

The two of us were there today - 2 hours before closing time. Friendly staff, pleasant guests, nice atmosphere and good food. The restaurant is very centrally located on the Wenigemarkt and is therefore very easy to reach. We had the mushroom pan (vegan or vegetarian) and the venison sausages with savoy cabbage vegetables. The waiting time went by quickly, the beer was tasty and the food was nicely prepared on nice plates and tasted good. The vegetables were delicious, the born mustard was of course good, delicious sauce and the sausages tasted really good. Not as “special” or tough as I thought, but trying something new was the right decision. Gladly again. Recommendation.

A very nice restaurant for a dinner date with friends or as a couple. We had a delicious meal and the service was very courteous and on the ball. The wines ordered with the meal were also very tasty. We had two different soups for starters and duck breast and goat cheese-crusted chicken as main courses. Totally recommended.

It was our first time in Erfurt and we just wanted some decent food. We were more than positively surprised: no standard menu, on the contrary a fine combination of very good craftsmanship and classic dishes. No frills and a very relaxed and clever host. Be sure to go and have a starter and main course. Decent portions – every bite is a pleasure

Zur regulären Karte gibt es noch eine saisonale Karte. Beide sind übersichtlich, beinhalten aber genug Auswahl das jeder etwas findet. Am Wochenende empfiehlt sich eine Reservierung. Essen und Service waren sehr gut.

We spontaneously went to the restaurant and luckily got a table in the fireplace room! The food was phenomenal. We each had something vegetarian and even though the selection here only includes three dishes, you can say quality over quantity here. The spices were wonderfully matched to the food and everything was very harmonious. All in all, it was a very nice coincidence that we ended up here. Gladly again!

Das Carpaccio war teilweise noch gefroren und wurde vom Personal Gruß und wortlos ohne Entschädigung abgeräumt. Der Rest des Essens war in Ordnung ( deutsche Haus-Mannskost). Die Semmelbrösel hatten leider keine Butter gesehen.

We ate pumpkin soup and game soup as a starter, roast duck and venison goulash as a main course and sorbet and baked apples for dessert. Everything was super delicious and tasted very good. Very friendly staff.

Things were much better here. We were here for Christmas dinner and ate in the fireplace room. The menus in book form were replaced by large XL menu cards like in a kebab, which were modern but didn't really match the "fireplace room" theme. The food was tasty, but the portions were significantly smaller than before the Corona period. The price? Of course it only went up. When we ordered a 400ml orange soda we got a 250ml orangina with a straw in it. Not in the glass. And without decoration. And yes: for the 400ml price! A lot has also changed in the presentation. In general, there doesn't seem to be any emphasis on decoration anymore. The tables in the "fireplace room" were set with a piece of plastic in the middle. Nobody here knows about proper tablecloths anymore. This is not the ambience for a fireplace room. Christmas decorations? Maximum the Keeze on the table or a string of lights on the window. And yes, you can save yourself the name "fireplace room" if you're freezing in a sweater and we had to speak to the waitress twice. The young man probably didn't really take us seriously. It was only the young lady who took up our concern and informed us that an exhaust air was probably activated. After that it got warmer. Nonetheless, we probably won't be coming back here again. The prices are too high, the ambience no longer exists and service is different.

The Wenigermarkt 13 is a very good restaurant on the Wenigermarkt. I ended my visit to the Christmas market here with my wife and we were not disappointed. The food was very tasty, sufficiently portioned and absolutely reasonably priced. The small dining room is nice and cozy and the staff is very nice and attentive. I'm already looking forward to the next visit 😊

We had reserved and were asked whether we liked the space offered or not whether we would like to sit somewhere else. The service was perfect. The wine could be tasted in advance. The food was very good and the dumplings were particularly light. The dessert prepared with a lot of love. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back.

Wir gehen jedes Jahr in der Weihnachtszeit hier einmal essen. Es gefällt uns sehr gut, durchgehend warme Küche, so bekommt man auch, wenn man Glück hat, ohne Vorbestellung einen Platz zur Kaffeezeit, für Abends unbedingt reservieren. Das Essen war alle Jahre immer wieder sehr gut, so auch dieses Jahr. Gute deutsche Küche. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Great tasty and tender crispy duck. With enough sauce and the option of choosing a side dish. We decided on the creamed savoy cabbage with prunes. A culinary delight.

A table reservation is recommended. I was lucky to get the last unreserved seat. I chose the “Thuringian beef leg roulade”, filled with bacon, onions, gherkin, tomato peppers and Born mustard. There was also red cabbage and two Thuringian dumplings filled with butter croutons. The meat was perfectly tender. The dumplings were also very tasty. For dessert I ordered a warm white chocolate soufflé - also a treat.

A great restaurant. On the 1st floor is the fireplace room where we found space without a reservation on a Saturday. Unfortunately it is very, very warm there. There are now delicious dishes suitable for Advent. The goose breast with red cabbage and two large dumplings were great.
