Schöne, urige Atmosphäre. Der Service war freundlich und das Essen schmeckte sehr gut. Ein besonderes Restaurant in Kronberg, das definitiv einen Besuch wert ist.

Eigentlich dürfte ich kein Lob schreiben, damit wir noch ein Platz bekommen :) Es ist einfach ein schönes uriges Lokal mit sehr herzlichen Gastleuten. Der Wirt hat kein Problem nochmal in der Küche etwas zu zaubern obwohl er schon fertig war. Er freut sich wenn es jedem schmeckt. Das Cordon Blue war der Hammer, ich hätte es nicht geschafft. Es war nicht nur riesig, sondern auch saftig. Der Äppler ist griffig und schmeckt. Schön ist es bei Euch.

Wir kommen jedes Jahr zu Weihnachten zum Gansessen in dieses Restaurant. Wir schwärmen immer wieder von der Gans, weil es so lecker ist. Dazu gibt es Maronen, Bratapfel mit Marzipanfüllung, Rosenkohl, Knödel und Rotkraut und Sauce.

Wir waren jetzt schon ein paar Mal dort – und jedes Mal war das Essen einfach fantastisch! Egal ob Schnitzel, Grüne Soße, Bratwürste oder Bratkartoffeln: alles ist frisch, hausgemacht und richtig lecker. Man merkt, dass hier mit Liebe gekocht wird. Der Koch ist super sympathisch, ebenso wie das gesamte Personal – freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und passend, auch wenn an ein paar Stellen kleinere Reparaturarbeiten nötig wären. Aber das fällt bei dem tollen Gesamterlebnis kaum ins Gewicht. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Conclusion: A hidden gem of German cuisine! There were two of us wandering through Kronberg. It's truly nestled on the mountain. We received a very warm welcome and were served by the staff. We both had the Cordon Bleu. It was served with a fresh mixed salad. The Cordon Bleu with fried potatoes was delicious—but simply too large for me! I couldn't finish it all and had to leave some. They also serve smaller portions. In short—we'll definitely be back and highly recommend it! Reservations can be made by phone or email.

Update: I was there again yesterday (November 30, 2024) for goose dinner. It was very tasty and plentiful, at a fair price. I'd gladly go again.

A long-established restaurant with local, well-prepared food...the Frankfurt schnitzel is especially recommended!

The ambience is as rustic as in the old days, the salad and dessert were very tasty, as was my husband's dinner. My dinner hash, unfortunately it didn't convince me, I would have liked to have cheese sprinkled on top, but they didn't have it, but Swiss sausage salad on offer would also have cheese (?) We had made a reservation at short notice and assumed that there was only this room; it would have been nicer in the living room. Price performance is right. There is no dedicated parking space, but there is a parking space around the church, which is within walking distance. More difficult for people with disabilities.

Secret shop in the small town of Kronberg, Germany. I recommend this shop. It's in an alley. But the chef made very delicious food. The menu looks normal, but the taste is extraordinary. Chef takes care of cooking Menu ordered Fried pork (crispy on the outside, soft and moist on the inside) + French fries (crispy and delicious until the end of the dish) + mellow paprika sauce, goes well together. Plus a very delicious vegetable salad. It's not just freshly fried. I don't know how to describe it, but after eating it I had a great appetite. But you have to be careful, the amount of servings is shocking. But the chef said this is a normal serving amount 😲

This is a typical Hessian restaurant with a very long tradition! It was formerly run by Anni Haase. The dishes are all excellent! My recommendations are the Tafelspitz (boiled beef) with potatoes and green sauce from the daily special (if it's not sold out, be sure to try it!) or the fresh salad with schnitzel strips (an insider tip!). You can also enjoy wine, Äppler (apple), or the delicious Benediktiner Hell (Benediktiner Hell) on tap! Desserts are also delicious! Why? The chef cooks here! I always enjoy going there.

We visited from the US and had an incredible dinner at Zum Weinberg! If you are looking for the BEST Schnitzel you’ve ever had, come to this restaurant. It is historic, traditional, and run by folks who care about hospitality. We were blown away by the quality and the prices were so reasonable. The Cordon Bleu Schnitzel was out of this world! My favorite part was although we arrived when the tables were very full, no one left! It was like a home away from home! Prost/Cheers! Pro Tip: park in the town center and walk since the roads are very narrow near the restaurant. It doesn’t hurt that it is such a pleasant stroll through a historic German hill town!

Friendly service and delicious German cuisine! What also struck me as particularly positive is that there is a list of vegetarian dishes. This could be a little more diverse, but the mere fact that there is one is rare for German restaurants.

We had reserved a table for 1 p.m. But as is sometimes the case, we really misjudged the time. Since we were really hungry after our visit to the Opel Zoo, we made our way to the restaurant. Even though we were 90 minutes early, we were warmly welcomed. The restaurant is very rustic and cozy and we immediately felt very comfortable. The food is extremely tasty and very well prepared. My husband had a Frankfurter Schnitzel with fried potatoes and a small salad. My husband and I's salad was very tasty, crisp and fresh and the marinade was very good. My husband's schnitzel was crispy but not dry and the fried potatoes were very tasty and crispy but not dry and hard, which we have also experienced. My Cordon Bleu was huge, huge but extremely tasty and the cheese was really nice and mmh that was good. I managed it with the help of my husband. The fries were also very good. In summary, one can say that it is definitely worth going there. The host couple are incredibly friendly and attentive and it was easy to chat for a short while. It's even worth driving 100 km to eat in the restaurant

The food was solid and typically German/Hessian. It was tasty and the portion was quite large. Price performance is right. The service was top. Very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is rustic. You can tell that it is a traditional restaurant and has existed for a long time. Unfortunately, the parking situation isn't exactly good. Nothing about the restaurant itself, as it is in the middle of the old town. Difficult around that too.

Saturday evening dinner for two. We recommend you book in advance. Beautiful, traditional, calm restaurant. Delicious & fresh salad served before the schnitzel main course. Two schnitzel served on the plate. They were the best I've eaten; crisp coating and tender pork. The speck sauce was superb. The chef came round everyone to ask how their food was: a lovely touch. Very highly recommended.

Small, fine restaurant in Kronberg's old town. Food and wine list limited. Wiener Schnitzel with asparagus was very tasty, as was the asparagus soup. Service is attentive and responsive. However, due to the location you have to be sure of your feet.

If you like good cuisine, fair prices and a typical Hessian ambience, you've come to the right place. I will definitely come back.

Very cozy restaurant, the food was very good, plain German, you have to be able to do that, I was very happy to find hash with noodles on the menu. The Cordon Bleu was gigantic in size and still tasted good. We'll be back 😊.

Simple Hessian economy with good food.

We had a very good rump steak with fried potatoes there and the veal schnitzel was also very tasty, the fries were really really good! I can really recommend it. It is a little more difficult to reach for people with walking difficulties. This is something to keep in mind, but we were able to drive very close to get out.

What really makes a really good, solid, top regional cuisine? It is the originality of the inn, very tasty and good fresh cuisine and naturally friendly service. Today I'm telling you about a very hidden gastronomic gem in Kronberg near Königstein. The Gasthaus #Zum Weinberg# is a real insider tip with very good, tasty cuisine, fresh hand-cooked dishes and rustic, original guest rooms. We dined here on Sunday lunchtime and it was a real treat. The boiled beef broth, served fresh and hot, had an excellent taste and the pancakes were tasty and of good consistency. For the main course we were served an excellently fried rump steak, which was fried to medium pink. The sautéed onions were really well prepared and the fried potatoes, the kind you rarely find, fresh from the pan fried with bacon and onions, very well seasoned, and the homemade herb butter also made this main course a regional poem. Not to mention the rump steak had a real net weight of 250g. on the plate. A la bonheur, is all you can say. As I said, this top professional chef knows how to masterfully implement regional, down-to-earth cuisine. I and we can really recommend this guesthouse! I would also like to mention the delicious fresh mixed salad. Here at the Gasthaus # Zum Weinberg # you can get a tasty, freshly made cucumber salad with sour cream or a delicious carrot salad and not just a few slices of raw vegetables. Overall, we can recommend this beautiful inn to anyone who is looking for very good regional home-style cuisine in the heart of Kronberg and the surrounding area. The selection of drinks also includes various beer specialties 🍺 🍻. There is still good, fresh König Pilsener 👑 on tap here, which I can only recommend. The two very experienced innkeepers, where the boss himself professionally prepares hand-cooked, very tasty dishes in his own kitchen and the innkeeper, who of course serves her guests in a friendly and genuine manner, are more than rare to find today. We would like to thank you for a very 😋 delicious and lovely lunch and we will be happy to come back!

Located in the magical Kronberg in the Taunus, a culinary masterpiece unfolds here. In this idyll, surrounded by picturesque landscapes, the restaurant offers Hessian cuisine of exquisite quality. The veal schnitzel, served with golden brown fried potatoes, was a culinary delight par excellence. The fresh, crisp salad and the excellent white wine completed the taste experience. The service was not only courteous, but also thoroughly authentic Hessian, which gave the whole thing a special touch. The highlight of the evening was the chef's visit to the table, a gesture that demonstrated both appreciation and passion for the culinary craft. My conclusion: An unforgettable experience that I would like to repeat.

Unfortunately, our encounter with a lady in the service wasn't exactly friendly. When we entered, we weren't addressed with a good evening, but with: what do you want?. I was taken aback for the first time in the restaurant and said... we actually wanted to Eating here. We were rudely asked if we had made a reservation, I said yes. Only after the lady couldn't find the reservation and the very friendly boss was called did the lady from the service's tone change. Unfortunately our reservation didn't arrive at the restaurant, and the friendly boss was very sorry and asked us to come back in about an hour. A big thank you for his efforts. It's a shame for this unpleasant reception, that should have been better. We'll try it again and hope for a friendly meeting. So dear ones, as already announced, I was at the Weinberg restaurant again today with a reservation. This time I met friendly service and the nice boss, who was very sorry about the whole incident on the first VISIT. GREAT MENU!! Something for everyone, clear and not too overloaded. We had XL Cordonbleu, and Kronberger Schnitzel with bacon and mushrooms, plus a great small salad and a choice of fries or fried potatoes. I have to say the great reviews were rightly given. Everything tasted very good, and the XL Cordonbleu was awesome, I'll eat it tomorrow🤣. If you're interested in feasting here, I recommend...PLEASE MAKE A RESERVATION👍 EVERYONE has one bad day, and this time I felt comfortable, the service was attentive and friendly despite the full house. That's how it should be.👌

Wir waren heute mit 9 Personen abends zum Essen Und ich muss sagen absolut hervorragendes Essen und sehr guter Service/ Bedienung. Einzig das Problem mit dem Parkplatz ist im Umkreis schwer zu bekommen.

Es war schön gestern Abend mit der Familie aus Irland. Ein freundlicher Empfang und zuvorkommender Service. Das Essen war lecker und wie immer frisch zubereitet - gute Deutsche Küche - und auch die Nachspeisen (Apfelküchlein, Kaiserschmarrn und Eis) haben wieder alle begeistert. Vorherige Reservierung empfehlenswert!

Uriges Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen, große Portionen. Vielleicht etwas zu Fleisch Gerichte auf der Karte für manch einen Gast. Mich hat es nicht gestört. Preis / Leistung passt.

Wir waren gestern zu viert dort Essen, das letzte Mal (vor mehreren Jahren) war dieses Restaurant eine Offenbarung, damals hatten noch zwei nette Jungs (die ehemaligen Pächter) für tolles Essen und eine super Ambiente gesorgt, diese Mal war die Bedienung war sehr nett aber leider auf die Dauer eher abgelenkt, das Essen war eher unterdurchschnittlich, die Wildwürstchen hatten eine merkwürdig harte Konsistenz und waren geschmacklich sehr flach, sie waren nur mit viel Senf überhaupt genießbar, die Bratkartoffeln mit den Pfifferlingen waren allenfalls 1 Minute in der Friteuse gewesen, sie waren sehr hell, überhaupt nicht cross aber dafür sind sie in Öl oder Fett geschwommen. Die Nudeln der Tochter waren Geschmacksneutral und nicht wirklich essbar. Das Ambiente ist wie auf einer Bahnhofsgaststätte, weder schön noch gemütlich, schade, eine Empfehlung sieht deutlich anders aus.

Wer die solide hessische Küche mag, wird dieses Restaurant lieben. Einfache Karte, handwerklich grossartige Zubereitung. Besonders empfehlenswert: im Herbst zum Gänseessen!

Eine gute Auswahl von guten Speisen und Getränken. Nicht zu groß, ein besonderes Ambiente, Franzosen lieben dieses Lokal. Wenn man gemütlich speisen möchte, fühlt man sich hier sehr wohl.

Wir haben schon so oft hier gegessen, jetzt wird es auch mal Zeit für etwas Lob und Anerkennung. Immer gemütlich, immer freundlich und das Essen ist durch die Bank lecker. Wer viel Hunger mit bringt, gönnt sich das Cordon Bleu, das Frankfurter Schnitzel ebenfalls sehr lecker, die Rinderroulade sehr gut etc. Wer ein gut bürgerliches, gemütliches Restaurant mit einem super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis sucht, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Absolut zu empfehlen!

gemütliche Stuben sehr freundlicher Service Schnitzel: hervorragend Bratkartoffeln: war nicht unser Geschmack, da sie nicht knusprig waren Tatar: zu stark gewürzt, bzw. zu viele Kapern Unser Hund war willkommen, und hat ungefragt Wasser bekommen Anfahrt und Parken schwierig, da in der Altstadt Alles in Allem: wir kommen bestimmt wieder!
