Zum Waldhorn in Hessisch Lichtenau

Anyone who likes modern frills will be disappointed here. However, anyone who likes good, home-style food, 'which has become quite rare,' will feel right at home here. We were greeted very warmly with a smile, "which has also become rare." Sooo... and now to the actual topic (FOOD).... Awesome. Overwhelmingly good. The portions were very good and very tasty. We had schnitzel with fries, which is more than enough for one person... enough to fill you up :-). And it was also super delicious. The salad dressing knocks your socks off. Awesome. But now for the amazing Argentinian rump steak, which was absolutely amazing, by far the tastiest rump steak I've eaten in years. MY HUGE COMPLIMENT. A huge portion, and those onions that came with it as a side dish, made my palate explode. Combined with the fried potatoes, it was a superbly well-rounded experience. The rump steak was quite large, so it wasn't a tiny portion. The price was very fair and the timing was right. Conclusion: I can recommend it to anyone who values good food more than interior design. Don't get me wrong! Everything fits together perfectly. Thanks to the Waldhorn team.

We'd love to come back. It was a bit cold outside, so our desire to go inside caused some confusion. But it was a very nice evening. Thanks also for the conditions.

Quaint place... Men's playground and a beautifully signposted hiking trail on the former munitions site.

Beautifully located, the grill buffet was excellent. Super-friendly staff and chef. The atmosphere was fantastic. We'd gladly return.

Personal könnte etwas kundenorientierter und freundlicher sein man merkt das man sich zur Freundlichkeit zwingt bei den Damen. Sonst Tip Top.

Wer das Waldhorn nicht kennt verpasst was

Überraschend hübsche Location. Wenn man erstmal den Hof betreten hat, kann man kaum fassen derartiges dort vorzufinden. Wirklich hübsch gemacht, auch das Essen war ein Genuss und die Menschen überaus freundlich, aber mit der Besucherzahl an diesem Tag ein wenig überfordert.
