Delicious food in a lovely setting with friendly service. Half a crispy duck with a very good sauce. It easily fit two people with an extra place setting. They even put breadcrumbs on the dumplings.

A very atmospheric restaurant serving authentic German cuisine. The main courses were very satisfying, the side dishes were excellent, and the various potatoes and sauerkraut were delicious. The interior has a Bavarian feel. I was very full, and the price was excellent. Take lots of photos and share them on social media. The waiters were very nice, especially the senior one.

We were passing through and chose something from the afternoon menu. The restaurant is beautifully designed, the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food is delicious. Since it was only a short visit, I can't give a complete overview, but what we had that afternoon was fantastic. We'd definitely come back!

The food was very good, but the service wasn't great. The young man was very self-important. He didn't know how to say thank you, please, or enjoy your meal. It's a shame, really, for such a great restaurant. It was cold and windy outside. Despite this, the door was constantly being opened to air out the room. The guests complained. Then they simply turned up the air conditioning...

The food was very delicious and arrived very quickly. The only thing I found annoying was the noise level in the room. It was very loud. But otherwise, I'd happily go back.

Great food in a great atmosphere, not exactly cheap, but good. Reservations are recommended, especially from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Food is served throughout the day, with various menus available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's also a lovely beer garden in front of the restaurant.

A very well-kept restaurant with very friendly service. Unfortunately, the food wasn't good. We chose cevapcici with djuvec rice from the daily specials: the meat was tough. The rice was filled with all sorts of vegetables, except for peppers. The second dish from the daily specials: baked cauliflower with falafel balls. The cauliflower was good, but the falafel was much too dry.

An excellent inn with a lovely beer garden. Located in the heart of town, yet away from the traffic. In good weather, the beer garden is highly recommended; the rustic and inviting ambiance inside the inn exudes a sense of coziness. Highly recommended!

All in all, a 10/10. Great food, friendly staff, and excellent service. The food is excellent in terms of price, quality, and value. A must for every visitor to Kempten.

The food was very good. But be careful. There were five of us playing Schafkopf. You also get drinks. The bill is always added when you order. The guest just doesn't see what's being added. This is the fourth time we've had the final bill be incorrect. We don't want to accuse anyone of anything. But it's certainly strange. We'll definitely be changing restaurants, because this just isn't acceptable.

So, whether the food is good or not, even with a full house, you can turn a blind eye if people are busy. But, it's my boyfriend's birthday today, and we just wanted to enjoy a cozy glass of wine in the last warm rays of sunshine. Unfortunately, all the sunny spots outside were taken. When we politely asked if we could possibly use a sunny corner of the beer garden, we received a very curt and rude "NO"! We couldn't even finish the question properly and were interrupted by the "no." I really didn't think that was right! You're allowed to ask, even if the beer garden season is over. What a shame.

We went there Sunday evening without a reservation and got a table. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit outside because rain was forecast. But sitting inside was no problem. Very, very friendly staff, and the food is simply fantastic. Good Bavarian cuisine and generous portions. We will be back.

It's a typical German inn with a rustic ambiance inside and a large beer garden outside. A clear menu, delicious food, and friendly staff. Everything was clean, including the restrooms. There were a lot of locals in the place, which is usually a good sign that it's worth a visit. We'd happily go back when we're in town.

If you want to enjoy authentic Bavarian food, this is the place for you. There's a wonderful and spacious beer garden where we had a wonderful meal and drink in the summer of 2025. With a stunning view of part of the town of Kempten and very close to a beautiful park, we sat comfortably together and were served friendly and promptly despite the incredibly large number of guests. The food was delicious, and the plates were generously filled with each course, so even the hungriest visitor could enjoy their meal. It's advisable to reserve a table in advance, as the restaurant is often fully booked, and it was more by chance that we managed to get a table. We were completely satisfied with the ambiance, the food, and the service and would gladly return again.

So for me, it was just good, home-style cooking; nothing special. The lady who served us was very unfriendly. A shame, really. The potato salad wasn't homemade. The schnitzel was okay. Many people who come here often are enthusiastic. It's okay for people who like good, home-style cooking. The portions are large, but the quality didn't convince me personally. Sorry. The price is too high for the quality offered. But everyone has different tastes.

We reserved seats in the beer garden, arrived on time, and were greeted by an unfriendly and unmotivated employee who told us the beer garden was closed and that he "didn't care" about our reservation. Unbelievable behavior; that's not how you treat guests!!! Neither we nor our friends will be going there again. You pay good money and therefore expect corresponding reliability with reservations and appropriate treatment of guests.

I've rarely felt so comfortable in a restaurant. The ambiance here is truly wonderful. The food portions are generous, and the value for money is excellent. In short, it's worth eating here; there's something for everyone.

It's always been one of the best restaurants in Kempten. Very good food, although perhaps a bit pricey for some seasonally (I personally don't eat out that often; I value quality more). Nevertheless, the service is very friendly, the location is great, and everything is always clean, so I'd happily go back anytime. Reservations are always recommended, though, as several people know what a great restaurant they have at the Stift :)

Searching through Google reviews where to eat, they highly recommended this place and the truth is that they are not wrong, great atmosphere, delicious food and very well priced, they have a small area with an interactive games table for children, I definitely recommend it 100x100 if you go to Kempten

We were looking forward to it. Unfortunately, the broth was sour. Since I have no experience with it, I was surprised, but I ate it anyway. Later, I felt nauseous and couldn't eat my main course, so I googled: Broth becomes sour due to bacteria that are harmful to health. I then told the waiter. He gave the kitchen a brief apology and offered a free dessert?!?

Our drink order wasn't taken until we announced our presence. So, things could be a bit better and more coordinated here. Otherwise, however, it's highly recommended.

On a rainy Saturday, we went to this restaurant without a reservation, hoping to find a table. We got a nice table. This brewery inn has a truly excellent menu with a selection of meat and vegetarian dishes. The portions are quite generous, and the service is very prompt. We would especially like to thank Katharina for her service. She rounded off the kitchen's culinary excellence with professional and charming service. The price-performance ratio is perfectly reasonable. The only negative point is that the portions are so large that you can only manage one course, and the dessert has to be shared. An insider tip: ask for a small portion of the main course. We'd be happy to come back and say, "Thank you very much."

Definitely a must-try restaurant if you set Kempten as a mid stop on your roadtrip to the Neuschwanstein Castle. The beers are awesome, the Bavarian pork knuckle is delicious. You can enjoy the view of the Basilika St Lorenz when drinking the beer. Staff are nice and friendly. Excellent value for money.

We ate there yesterday: roast pork, pork schnitzel, and chicken skewers with rice. We were absolutely thrilled. I've rarely eaten such good roast pork. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was absolutely top-notch. I can wholeheartedly recommend it and agree with the other positive reviews. We'll be back!

I can only recommend this restaurant to everyone. The food is delicious. Everything I've ordered so far has been delicious. I've been there several times and each time I've been surprised. I feel a bit sorry for the conditions as they are very busy and can't spend much time with each individual guest. This unfortunately affects the service. But the ambiance is wonderful, whether inside or outside in the beer garden. I recommend that if you have a special meal like an anniversary or birthday you make yourself comfortable here. You should definitely book early. One or two days in advance is recommended. Enjoy your meal.
