Super tasty food, definitely recommended.

Es war heute Abend wieder ein Genuss. Tolles Essen, angenehme Temperaturen, was will man mehr Ende August. Dankeschön an das nette Personal. 4 Monate haben wir ja dieses Jahr noch Zeit.

The three of us went there twice and tried the fish soup and the fish platter - both very tasty! Definitely make a reservation. And don't hang your jacket in the wrong place, that'll cause trouble!

Very good food with really good value for money. We sat outside on the terrace with the evening sun and had a very nice atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

Absolutely recommended! 🤓 You will receive a very friendly welcome in this first-class fish restaurant. People line up in front of it to get one of the coveted tables. That's why you should definitely reserve a day or two in advance. Although the menu is very clear, there is something delicious for young and old. And let's be honest: it's better to have a manageable menu and decent, tasty food than the other way around. And that's exactly how it is in this restaurant! The excellent culinary experience is further rounded off by the service staff, especially the “boss” with her lovingly gruff North German manner. We'll definitely go back on our next vacation and hope that the coastal fog won't be gone. 😉 PS: the locations are also very clean and well maintained.

Small restaurant, overcrowded with guests and only available with a reservation. But it's worth it!!! It's rare to get such perfectly prepared food. The fish was cooked perfectly, but the “alternative” (the rump steak from the heifer) was also cooked to perfection (medium rare) and the side dishes were well chosen. It's a shame that you have to travel so far to get good food as a Berliner. Thanks to the team.

When we are in Zinnowitz, we can't do without the restaurant “Zum Smutje”. Great ambience, friendly staff and delicious food. Without a pre-order it is difficult to get a place.

Here too, all expectations were met and exceeded. We would be happy to come back. There were six of us and everyone was completely satisfied. Fish solyanka and pike-perch are particularly recommended. Crispy and tender on the inside! That's how it should be.

Rarely eaten so well. Everything has its price, which you are happy to pay here. Great team in the kitchen and service. Definitely a reason to come back. Greetings from Berlin

We have been there several times and always found the food to be very good. Unfortunately, you always feel a bit unwelcome here, which significantly reduces your enjoyment. Conclusion: Good, high-priced food in a not very warm atmosphere.

As passionate fish eaters, we were really excited today. Fast and very friendly service. The ambience is simply beautiful. For us, the food couldn't be beat in any way. I'm happy to give this a full 5 stars. The small but fine restaurant is located near the beach and is furnished in a traditional style. And the two ladies reflected exactly this charm last night (April 27th, 2024) - a little rustic and easy-going and super lovable, friendly and charming. The food was very good and tasty and we indulged in 3 courses (if only the main course had been a little less to eat 😂) A very good selection of wine and spirits rounded the whole thing off perfectly. Late in the evening we walked back to the hotel, completely happy, with a smile on our faces. A successful, wonderful evening for two.

We have been regularly visiting our fish restaurant “Zum Smutje” for several years. Always great food, always fresh, awesome. Another visit with anticipation this April. But... This time it was very disappointing what we were presented with. The: "Threesome" a disappointment, root vegetables overcooked, fish completely fried... Sweet and sour fried herring was too sweet, but that may be a matter of taste. When these discrepancies were pointed out, the facility reacted with such arrogance that we will forego any further visits there. It's a real shame as this was always a real highlight for us. Great ambience and pleasant and attentive service. The food was excellent. The fish was fried to perfection, the cucumber salad was perfectly seasoned and our favorite, the spicy fish solyanka, was just to die for. We'd love to come back on our next Zinnowitz vacation :).

One of the best fish restaurants on the Baltic Sea, highly recommended!!! We have been eating there regularly for more than 10 years and have never been disappointed with the food!! Everything is always on point! Everything is very familiar, kitchen & service! Reservation always required!

Actually 7 out of 5 stars. The store was packed (always a good sign). The ladies looked after us very well, kept an eye on all the guests, so no one just walked past the table without checking to see if everything was OK. Very nice to experience something like that again. Here, people learned the craft from the ground up. Now to the food, everything was really fresh and delicious, special requests are no problem and the fish solyanka was really awesome. Rarely have I eaten something so good. Completely satisfied, the other guests seemed the same...keep it up. Some would-be restaurateurs should go out to eat to see how it really works. Thank you very much.

Wir waren 11 Gäste und alle waren begeistert. Preis, Leistung, Atmosphäre, Service - alles hat gepasst. Dis Essen waren nicht nur optisch ein Leckerbissen, sondern und vor allem auch im Gaumen. Vielen Dank dafür. Update ein Jahr später: Nur ein Fakt hat sich geändert - jetzt warten wir 16 und noch weitere Gäste. Komplett voll ... Das sagt dich schon alles! Herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team und weiter so.

Sind seit Jahren beim Smutje zu Gast und immer wieder sehr zufrieden. Zwei Österreicher und ein Hund genießen Ostseegastlichkeit!

Wir waren an unserem letzten Abend im Urlaub im Fischlokal Smutje. Der Namen ist Programm mit super frischen Fisch. Eine Reservierung war notwendig. Es waren alle Tische in dem kleinen Restaurant besetzt. Toller Service und eine nette Bedienung lassen den Abend zu einem kleinen Erlebnis werden. Der Fisch ist super frisch und war total lecker. Wohl eines der besten Fischrestaurants auf der Insel. Abgerundet mit einem schönen Wein, kann man hier in schönem Ambiente einen runden Abend erleben. Gerne wieder.

Es ist auch im Herbst empfehlenswert zu reservieren, dann kann man auch entspannt genießen. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich aber die Gerichte plus Tageskarte sind alle lecker und kommen in top Qualität schnell zum Gast. Die Nachtisch Gerichte sind auch lecker.

Lecker Fisch ein Muß wenn man in Zinnowitz ist

Ein kleines gemütliches Restaurant. Schönes Ambiente. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Leckeres Essen. Gute Weine. Kleine Karte! Dafür alles sehr frisch! Kein Außerhausverkauf.

Was soll man schreiben wenn man alles sehr gut findet? Ich finde es immer gut wenn es authentisch und geradlinige abläuft. Kein "Schnigschnag", die Küche und der Service wissen was sie tun, von daher alles bestens. Wenn dazu das Essen sein Geld wert ist passt es halt. 100%ige Weiterempfehlung von mir.

Wir waren vorhin dort essen. Alles perfekt und super geschmeckt. Ordentlich und sauber schade das wir morgen abreißen sonst hätten wir noch mal dort gegessen.

Nach diversen enttäuschenden Gastronomieerlebnisse auf Usedom, haben wir am 18.10.23 das Fischrestaurant "Zum Smutje" in Zinnowitz besucht. Endlich ein Volltreffer! Uns erwartete ein liebe- und geschmackvoll ausgestatteter Gastraum, ein engagiertes Serviceteam und vor allem eine supergute Küche. Unser Thunfisch-Carpaccio als Vorspeise war exzellent zubereitet und erfüllte alle Erwartungen. Im Hauptgang Kabeljaufilet, super zubereitet, frisch und geschmacklich topp! Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ging in Ordnung. Eines der besten Fischrestaurants der Insel, ohne Chi Chi und Schnörkel! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Für uns das Beste Essen auf Usedom, phantastisch.Jeder Fisch ein Erlebnis und auch der Rest ,Service Qualität & Schnelligkeit aussergewöhnlich gut.Man sollte besser vorbestellen! Danke nochmal!

In diesem Restaurant werden alle Sinne verwöhnt: Ein Hochgenuss für den Gaumen, die Mädels sind nordisch charmant, das Ambiente ist einladend und als i-Tupf passiert alles unaufgeregt zügig. Ein großes Dankeschön und Kompliment an das gesamte Team.

Zufällig sind wir auf dieses kleine aber feine Restaurant gekommen und waren von den Speisen sehr begeistert. So eine leckere Fischsuppe, wie hier, haben wir noch nie gegessen. Das Ambiente ist modern und gemütlich. Wir würden jederzeit hier wieder Essen gehen.

Wir kennen den Smutje bereits seit mehr als zwanzig Jahren und versuchen seitdem mindestens einmal im Jahr dort einzukehren. Wir wurden kein einziges Mal enttäuscht: Die klare Fischsuppe sucht ihresgleichen und ist der Standard, nicht nur auf der Insel. Bei den Fischgerichten steht der Fisch im Mittelpunkt und nicht irgendwelches Chichi ( gestern Boddenbarsch und Zander mit der Spezialität Fischtüfte). Das hat seinen Preis - er ist aber angemessen. Der Sevice war immer freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben durchaus andere Fischrestaurants auf der Insel probiert und waren fast immer enttäuscht. Dabei unterscheiden sich die Preise nicht, aber durchaus die Qualität. Wir freuen uns schon auf unseren nächsten Besuch im Smutje.

Wir hatten einen schönen Abend dort mit sehr leckerem Essen (natürlich Fokus auf Fisch, es gibt aber auch Fleisch). Wir kamen erst kurz vor 21 Uhr an und waren überfroh, dass wir noch was zu Essen bekommen haben (andernorts wurden wir aufgrund der Uhrzeit schon abgewiesen). Also großer Pluspunkt für uns! Ansonsten sehr freundliche Bedienung und nettes Ambiente. Das Restaurant liegt etwas abseits in der Seitenstraße. Ein Besuch lohnt sich aber in jedem Fall. Das Restaurant ist durch seine jahrelange Erfahrung eine Zinnowitzer Instanz und ist offen für jeden! ;)

Sehr lecker gegessen. Preis total okay. Schönes kleines Etwas verstecktes Restaurant. Bedienung ist freundlich auch ohne Reservierung ein Platz bekommen (2 Personen) man trifft mit viel Glück sogar Prominenz.

So klasse wie das Essen ist der nordische Charme der Ladys im Service. Macht Spaß hier, und die Fischgerichte sind wirklich großartig. Man hat auf Anhieb Lust aufs Wiederkommen!

Vor über 20 Jahren waren wir dort das erste Mal essen. In den folgenden Jahren in größeren Abständen immer wieder gern. Auch dieses Jahr in unserem Sommerurlaub. Wir sind begeistert und beeindruckt vom leckeren Essen ( frischer Fisch und Dessert), dem freundlichen Service und dem tollen Ambiente. Das Klima war sehr gut es war nicht zu warm oder kalt drinnen . Dann das Essen das war so gut die Bratkartoffeln waren die besten die ich in meinem Leben gegessen hatte und das Steak erst war Einwand frei . Im großen Ganzen seeeeehhhhrrrr gut

Wir hatten das Dreierlei vom Fisch und das Rumpsteak und waren alle sehr zufrieden. Der Fisch war auf den Punkt gegart und sehr, sehr lecker. Leider gibt es hier nur das eine wirkliche Fischrestaurant,das ist für diese Ortschaft sehr schade. Macht bitte weiter so , von mir aus auf nochmal 28Jahre🥳

This place is not on the main street. It's not even on the beach promenade. It's in a quiet side street and yet, it fills quickly in dinner time and locals and holiday-makers queue outside, waiting for the next free table. The menu is relatively small and consists (but for maybe 1 meal, a steak) almost exclusively of fish and seafood. When I visited, they had also 2 daily specialfish dishes with seasonal vegetable. Everything is made with love and attention to details here: the fish, the potatoes, even the side salad, and it really shows on the taste of every last bit of the food. Adding to that is a wide choice of [white] wines and beer on tap, all reasonably priced. I could dine here every other day, next time I make sure to bring the friends along

The meals are perfect, healthy and sufficient in size. Good choices of wine and beer. One has to be aware on the friendliness of service staff. The words are not easy to digest.

Nice Restaurant in the Center of Zinnowitz. Friendly service and good relation service/price. We took the Steinbutt/Turbot which was amazing. Unfortunately the potatoes were not of a good quality. As starter we had ordered fish soup which never arrived. Definitely one of the best places in Zinnowitz for a fresh fish meal.

Okay, so a basic setting but wow!! Can they cook fish. I love it when restaurants keep it simple to only a few dishes on the menu and cook those few dishes with passion, love and execute with excellence. Fabulous service with a cheeky smile from Gabi (the owner). A must visit for lovers of sensational fish cooking! And to top what was so great.... no schnitzel on the menu.
