New owners, new attempt. (2024) The food was delicious and plentiful. Service was friendly. I think we'd be happy to come back. 2025 - This time, too, there's nothing to complain about. The portion was ample, the fried potatoes were good, and the schnitzel was thick and tender.

We had a delicious schnitzel on the way back from Legoland. The mushroom sauce was delicious on the side with fried potatoes. Highly recommended for a short drive.

Very tasty food and great staff

The food was very tasty and plentiful. The service was attentive. Despite a large group, the food arrived at almost the same time for almost everyone. Great. The only downside is that the regular parking lot is dark and the rough gravel makes it difficult to navigate. It's good for groups. We were there with 16 colleagues. Very tidy restrooms. Great.

We regularly visit the Zum Schlut restaurant and always feel completely at home. The food is always fresh, delicious, and prepared with love – you can simply taste the quality. We also particularly appreciate the great activities for children. Our little ones are thrilled, they can let off steam on the playground, and we parents can relax and enjoy ourselves. Horrible food, slow and bad service, sewage smell at the entrance. We have made a mistake to trust google rating while passing by Bremen. Waited for 40min to get old, reheated, dry "schnitzel" which was priced 22EUR! Price is already crazy, but staff even tried to charge 23EUR for it. I had to point out that the price on menu was 22 while they tried to charge 23 for this abomination of a meal.

Thank god for zum schlut! After a long drive we needed a delicious meal and a relaxing and cozy vibe. We were not disappointed! Thank you!

I've known the restaurant "Zum Schlut" for many decades. But what this Hemelingen gem has become is a joy to see. The building was renovated with a lot of love and appreciation. The outdoor area is inviting even in cooler temperatures. Lots of flowers, a playground for children, and plenty of sunny and shady spots. The team is extremely friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, generous portions, and appetizingly presented. I always enjoy coming here. My companions were also very impressed with the service and ambiance. Rightly so ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Construction is still underway. The main entrance. Business continues. The food is good, the staff polite and attentive. Good value for money. We sat in the summer garden. There was plenty of shade from the mature trees. Since we were here on a Sunday, we can't comment on the traffic noise. We spent a quiet afternoon.

First time back to the Schlut in many years. Fantastic! Everything was perfect. We were thrilled.

Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The food was swimming in oil. Fried potatoes were reheated in oil... (Bremer Knipp). Unfortunately, the restaurant (the bar!) was also a bit dirty. A shame.

A lovely place to linger. The four of us were very pleased with the food. The restaurant didn't close for us until half an hour later. Very nice. The service was friendly. We sat outside. We really enjoyed it. The restaurant is a bit out of the way, near the Weser River.

The food and service were okay. The noise from other guests was so loud that you almost had to shout at each other, which made us leave the restaurant as quickly as possible, annoyed. Like other guests, we did. When we pointed out the high volume to the manager, all she said was, "There's nothing you can do." I'll definitely never see that place again.

Great place to get something to eat and, above all, to charge your batteries for free during the Weser bike tour.

We stopped in spontaneously with five people. The food was satisfactory. There were several vegetarian dishes on the menu. Prices were reasonable. Renovations are currently underway, which is a bit disruptive. We would eat there again.

A very nice and quiet restaurant with an inviting beer garden. A well-kept ambiance and very friendly, informal staff. Adjacent to the beer garden is a beautifully designed and equipped playground for children – always within sight. We had bruschetta and the currywurst and were extremely satisfied. The bruschetta tasted very fresh and balanced, and the currywurst tasted truly classic. We stopped here for lunch, but I could imagine the atmosphere in the beer garden being even nicer in the evening. We would love to come back.

Aside from the fact that the food is delicious and special requests are catered for, the real highlight is the playground on the terrace. It's a great place to spend time with the family. And while you enjoy your coffee after dinner, the kids can let off steam on the playground.

I rarely rate, but everything was perfect here. Rustic and cozy with very good schnitzel.

You can do it if you're hungry after a bike ride. But we went there specifically. Maybe we'll give it another chance in the summer. Service was very attentive and accommodating, the ambience... well, it's currently being renovated, that speaks for itself. Visually it is “just” an excursion restaurant. The food itself didn't convince me at all.

We were able to sit outside (March 2025). The whole restaurant seemed and was a construction site. Definitely a good meeting place for two-wheeler riders in summer. Unfortunately the food was prepared carelessly.

Very nice and attentive service. I ate a large pizza, it was well topped and very tasty. Moderate prices and the menu is very diverse for the rather smaller restaurant. Mediterranean cuisine paired with German home cooking, a solid mix with something for everyone. My impression today is worth 5 stars.

Wir saßen an einem leeren Tisch der nach unserer Ankunft mit einem stinkenden Lappen gereinigt wurde. Der Tisch wurde danach auch nicht eingedeckt. Uns wurden Fertiggerichte serviert die fettig und ungenießbar waren.Nie wieder!!!! Schade um Zeit und Geld:-(

A good restaurant/tourist with great service staff, very good price/performance ratio, there is even a playground for children. We were there for a small celebration and had absolutely nothing to complain about. You can tell that the operators put a lot of effort into it.

What we didn't like was that the service across from the garden restaurant smoked, it would be really nice if there was a layer of protection, it looks really stupid, nothing against smokers but it's not nice and one more thing, you really have a great terrace but one corner is real not nice otherwise it was really nice the service was really super nice we would like to go there again

Mooie tuin met waterpartij en speeltuin voor de kinderen. Je hoort wel de hele tijd de auto's van de grote baan op de achtergrond. Het personeel was vriendelijk. Het eten was ok, niet waw. Binnen hangt er niet zo'n frisse geur. Dat gaf niet zo'n aangenaam gevoel.

Were there after a bike tour. Service was very nice (seems to be a family business). I ate a rollo, very tasty. Prices are really okay.

The innkeeper pays great attention to customer service. For example, if you want to share a pizza (approx. 35 cm ø) with someone, it will be served on two plates. A family with small children was sitting at the next table. There he asked if he should serve the children's plates together with the starter. He is very attentive. The food is fresh, tasty and plentiful. I can only recommend the restaurant.

I still know the old restaurant Zum Schlut and today I was very surprised at what the new owner has done with the old restaurant. It turned out really nice. The food, a curry pan with chicken, was the best curry I've ever eaten. My mother had one Rump steak which was also very tasty and tender. Great and very nice staff. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend the restaurant! I still have one suggestion for improvement. Maybe the tables could be separated a bit so that you don't have to slide so far on the long bench. And I would like more schnitzel variations.

The restaurant is located in the Hemelinger Marsch not far from the marina. The food is very tasty, fresh and rich. The service does a good job. Very suitable for larger groups. The prices are in the middle range. Ideal for breaks on a bike tour.

Sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Service war super und ich habe selten so lecker gegessen wie in diesem Restaurant, es war alles frisch zubereitet und von hoher Qualität, mit viel Liebe zubereitet! Wir waren sehr zufrieden!! Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Haben uns ein Wienerschnitzel bestellt. Lt. Karte echtes Wienerschnitzel aus Kalbsfleisch. Wurden darauf hingewiesen das vielleicht kein Kalbsfleisch verfügbar ist und gefragt ob Schweinfleisch dann auch i.O. wäre. Nächster Hinweis vom Wirt, das die Schnitzel ausschließlich frisch zubereitet werden. Haben zugestimmt. Bekommen haben wir dann TK-Fertigschnitzel die mit einer Jägersosse überzogen wurden …. Auch die Bratkartoffeln waren nur etwas aufgewärmt. Sorry, aber das geht so nicht.

Alles ist stimmig der Empfang, die Ausstattung und das Essen. Wir haben uns gleich sehr wohlgefühlt und willkommen. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen machen gut satt. Alles wird frisch zubereitet und mit viel Geschmack serviert. Wir hatten ein Rollo, eine Schlut Pfanne und einen veg. Auflauf. Alles können wir mit sehr gutem Gewissen empfehlen. Als Nachtisch hatten wir noch Tiramisu. Auch das wird selbstgemacht und es gibt nur ein Wort: LECKER. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder und freuen uns schon drauf. Vielen Dank für den leckeren und aufmerksamen Abend.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit wahnsichtig netten Inhabern. Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker. Egal ob Fleisch, Fisch oder Pizza. Einziges Manko. Es liegt etwas abseits und es hat sich noch nicht so Rum gesprochen. Ich hoffe es spricht sich jetzt Rum. Das würde mich sehr freuen.

Wir haben an zwei Abenden hintereinander mit vier Personen dort gegessen und waren höchst zufrieden. Ob Matjes, Pasta oder Fleischgerichte.. alles einfach nur lecker. Auch die Pizzen haben absolut überzeugt. Dazu ein herzliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wenn auch etwas abgelegen... der Weg lohnt sich allemal.

Sehr modern, schick aber auch gemütlich eingerichtet. Der Service der Mitarbeitenden war sehr schnell und sehr freundlich. Zwischendurch wurde sich nach unserer Zufrieden erkundigt. Auf die Vorspeise und die Hauptspeisen haben wir nicht lange gewartet. Das Essen war sehr, sehr lecker. Großzügige Portionen zu einem angemessen Preis. Wir waren mehr als zufrieden. Es ist einen Besuch wert und weiter zu empfehlen!

Wir waren heute das erste Mal seit langen wieder im Schlut, die neuen Besitzer/Pächter haben schon viel geleistet. Wir waren zu viert und allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt, der Salat war frisch, die Pizza lecker, und das Jägerschnitzel war tolles Fleisch mit einer selbst gemachten Sauce. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Kleiner negativer Nachtrag, wir haben ein Handy liegen gelassen und im Schlut angerufen und deswegen nachgefragt. An Telefon sagte man uns das beim Abräumen nichts aufgefallen ist. Wir sind trotzdem nochmal hin gefahren, Und das Handy lag auf dem noch nicht abgeräumten Tisch. Nicht sehr positives Verhalten.

Wir sind während einer Fahrradtour hier eingekehrt. Im Biergarten war es nicht sehr voll und wir bekamen sofort einen Platz. Es wurde gegrillt. Bratwurst 3€ und Nackensteak ohne was dabei 6€. Der Kellner war, trotzdem es nicht wirklich voll war, mit unserer Bestellung scheinbar etwas überfordert. Für 2 Bier und 2 Alster, trotz der Nachfrage nach 30 Min., hatten wir nach 45 Min unsere Getränke. Also Service kenne ich anders.

Ich finde es schön, daß diese Traditionsgatronomie wieder zum Leben erweckt wird. Sehr herzliche und zugewandte Menschen haben dieses Lokal übernommen und lassen es wieder erblühen. Das Ambiente im Biergarten ist trotz der nahen BAB draußen wunderbar. Drinnen ist es kuschelig und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Der Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist klasse und die Karte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Von mir eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.

Onderweg van vakantie naar huis zijn we hier iets gaan eten. We werden vlot geholpen, het eten was lekker en betaalbaar. Bediening heel vriendelijk. We zaten buiten, waar wel wat lawaai is van de snelweg. Dit hebben ze creatief geprobeerd op te lossen door een waterpartij op het terras aan te leggen. Al met al een perfecte plek voor een stop. Lekker gegeten en weer vlot op pad!

Ich war dort mit Freunden essen und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Der Service war schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend und die von uns bestellten Gerichte haben sehr lecker geschmeckt. Da sagen wir gerne: "Bis zum nächsten mal"

Ich kenne das Restaurant von früher noch aus Zeiten von Familienfeiern. Nun hat es nach dem Leerstand einen neuen Besitzer, der es mit viel Liebe und Leidenschaft umgebaut und renoviert hat. Und diese Leidenschaft spürt man im Service und bei der Qualität des Essens. Das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet und wirklich sehr lecker. Wirklich weiter zu empfehlen. Auch der Service war sehr zuvorkommend. Also alles top, eine Fahrt wert und die Lage des Restaurants lädt dazu ein, nach dem Essen einen schönen Spaziergang zu machen. Immer wieder gerne!
