What a fantastic restaurant, located on the Elbe River. The ambiance is simply wonderful, like at Grandma's. The service was super quick, and we had our chosen meals right away. Simply delicious food. Generous portions, so you'll definitely leave the restaurant full. If you're visiting Dresden and happen to be in Pieschen, the Landstreicher is definitely recommended.

We were regulars a good decade ago, and after a long break, we tried again. Friday evening, the place was packed: a good sign. And we weren't disappointed. The service is very attentive and attentive, the ambiance is rustic and cozy, and the food is truly plentiful, delicious, and not overpriced. Recommendation: the summer schnitzel with arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, and freshly shaved Parmesan is divine! Served with the truly delicious fried potatoes with spring onions—a real treat. We'll probably be back often, especially in the summer on the terrace, which is a great way to round off an evening. But be patient. If it's busy, the food takes a while – but it's fresh and delicious all around!

A very beautiful place near the Elbe River, which is best enjoyed on the terrace in the evening. I would describe the interior as rustic. I was looking forward to cheese spaetzle for dinner. What I got was more like a spaetzle casserole, topped with some cheese and the spaetzle swimming in a cream sauce. This dish shouldn't be sold as "cheese spaetzle."

The food was delicious, and the location is superb: outside the city center of Dresden, but easily accessible by tram 4. The terrace overlooking the Elbe is delightful. However, the third glass of wine never arrived, and the bill didn't arrive either, even though we'd asked for it. We ended up having to go inside to pay.

The view of the Elbe is beautiful! The service is friendly and quick! Parking is a problem! You have to make sure you get a street parking space in front of the Landstreicher. The access to the highway is also great! I highly recommend this place!

This isn't my first time in Dresden, or rather our first time. But this restaurant is simply fantastic. The super friendly staff knows how to treat guests not just as guests, but almost as family. Everyone is truly fantastic, something you find very, very rarely these days. We'll definitely be back at "Zum Landstreicher" on our next short stay.

Unfortunately, you can't give "0" stars, hence 1 star. We politely asked for a table for 4 people. We were rudely dismissed by a waiter... "No space, everything full." A couple was about to leave and kindly gave up their table to us, but we were very rudely approached/dismissed without any eye contact by another waitress (older, long hair, blonde, braided hair) with the words "No, this table is already taken," even though there was no one in sight! We experienced a similar situation on our last visit there! Hospitality seems to be a "foreign word" in this restaurant... We definitely won't be coming back; there are many great restaurants in DD. Just a few meters away, we spent a very nice evening at Spitzwegerich - Das Landhaus. We received a very friendly welcome here, and the food was excellent.

We ate at your place yesterday. The main courses (schnitzel, sauerbraten, pike-perch) were very good. What I didn't like were the potatoes with the fish (they looked strangely translucent and didn't taste that great either). My son had the nuggets (children's dish) – so wonderfully frozen. And to finish, the ice cream. Better off getting that off the menu – it's all ready-made stuff (I agree with the ice cream), but with whipped cream from a can and raspberries from a can, and the whole thing was served in a really unimaginative way.... The main courses were really good. And yet, the dessert remains the most memorable because it was the last thing I ate at your place. Still, 4 stars because the visit was still affordable and the service was very friendly. Update 5/23/2025 We visited you again yesterday at the request of friends, and apart from the really good service, there isn't much good to report. I ordered a trout with fries. I got something streamlined in oil with a sloppy breading, the size of a herring, and very little seasoning. I've rarely eaten a worse trout. To make up for it, I got a piece of seasoned meat and an ice cream on the house (both were okay)...but we paid for three instead of one house beer. So, we paid handsomely for the compensation meals. I'm just not having any luck at the Landstreicher...so this was truly my last visit.

We were here for lunch. Despite the restaurant being full, we were quickly seated. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the portions were really large, but not only that, they were also really good. However, the food is definitely meat-heavy; vegetarians and especially vegans won't find anything to their liking here. Absolutely fair prices. Having leftovers packed up wasn't a problem at all—we'll be back!

Were there yesterday with a larger group. The evening was a complete success. The staff were very friendly and always happy to have fun. I can recommend the liver. You have to order the side dish with it, so everyone gets their own taste.

I call to make a reservation and they answer. "How? What do you want to book? I don't understand. What do you mean, what do you want to book? Obviously they aren't the brightest minds in town.

Order a delicious schnitzel here and you will get a perfect one, not in a deep fryer but really just fried. Great! And the service is very friendly and good. We sat on the Elbe and ate and of course had a good beer 😉🍺

We went there spontaneously as a family. The service was super friendly, attentive and also in the mood to have fun. The food was delicious and everyone had a great evening. A little deduction in the B grade for the indoor climate in the toilets. When we are back in Dresden, we would still like to come back. 🙋🏼‍♀️ By the way, the very special highlight was the famous *Wegbier* as a beer-to-go 🍻

I've only ever walked or driven past it, but how wonderfully quaint this restaurant is. You feel like you are in an alpine hut. Wonderful ambience. In addition, there was a consistently friendly and service-oriented staff. The price-performance ratio was also great. Really big portions for a good price. We rolled out of the restaurant 😉. It also tasted like Muddern or Grandma's. The fried potatoes could have kissed the pan a little longer, but that's complaining at a high level. The tramp offers really good home cooking. Will definitely come back. We were a large group and the food came to the table almost at the same time, you have to time it first. So all thumbs up 😉🤩
