Zum krummen Hund in Herne

Sind dort das erste mal da gewesen, weil man eigentlich immer was gutes gehört hat und auch gelesen hat. Wir hatten das Pech wir mussten auf unser Essen 45 Minuten warten bis die Vorspeise kam. Weitere 10-15 Minuten bis unser Abendessen kam und es war auch leider lauwarm. Es war auch leider sehr laut auf der Terrasse. Wir haben für das alles 75€ bezahlt. Bisschen teuer und enttäuschend, da man so viel positives gehört hat.

Super gemütlich, tolle leckere Speisen und sehr freundliches Personal

Die Essensportion war groß, aber weder das Schnitzel, noch die Bratkartoffeln waren knusprig. Die Holunderschorle hat nur nach Sprudelwasser geschmeckt. Auf meine Beschwerde hin, wurde nicht reagiert. Schade. Es hallt sehr laut, deswegen nur 3 Sterne beim Ambiente. Im Biergarten ist es bestimmt schöner. Insgesamt zu wenig Personal, für die Anzahl der Gäste. Aber das ist ein generelles Problem. Vielleicht probiere ich es hier ein anderes Mal und setze mich aber dann in den Biergarten.

Das Essen ist hier wirklich gut, wir kommen wieder. Die älteren Servicekräfte sind kompetent, freundlich und genau so, wie es sein sollte (5 Sterne). Die jüngeren Aushilfen bräuchten allerdings einen Kurs im Umgang mit Gästen, damit sie nicht so unverschämt und unhöflich sind. Aber wie gesagt, das Essen war ausgezeichnet und ich freue mich schon sehr auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

​⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ein rundum gelungener Familienabend – absolute Empfehlung! ​Wir waren für ein Familienabendessen im Krummen Hund – insgesamt sechs Erwachsene und ein Kind – und wir sind alle restlos begeistert. Die Location ist einfach richtig, richtig cool und hat ein tolles Wohlfühl-Ambiente. ​Für das leibliche Wohl war von den Getränken bis zum Essen perfekt gesorgt. Die Portionen sind riesengroß und das Essen war einfach klasse! Besonders toll fanden wir die Vielseitigkeit der Speisekarte: Es gibt fantastische, reichhaltige Fleischteller für die Fleischliebhaber, aber eben auch für Vegetarier ist einiges und vor allem richtig Gutes dabei. ​Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend, wurden super umsorgt und waren am Ende alle rundum glücklich. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

war mal wirklich gut aber gestern war der absolute hammer 30 min auf getränke unfreundlicher service besonders die dame mit den roten haaren klebige tische salz und pefferstreuer mit schimmel das zelt draußen zugeräuchert mit nikotin zum essen haben wir nichts bekommen wollten was bestellen aber der service war mehr als unfreundlich andere gäste waren auch unzufrieden und haben das lokal verlassen NIE WIEDER 😖😤

Beim Betreten des Restaurants wird jeder sofort sehr freundlich vom Chef persönlich begrüßt und zum Tisch geführt. Das Servicepersonal ist ebenfalls sehr freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker und jeder von uns hat was passendes gefunden.

Ausgezeichneter Service Man fühlt sich wie ein König behandelt vom Personal Die rothaarige Kellnerin ist bester Kopf, läuft non stop wie ein Motor und erfüllt jeden Wunsch Essen ok, seitdem es keine Curly Fries gibt zieht es mich nicht mehr dahin

Tolles Restaurant, toller Service, super Essen! Wir hatten Schnitzel Wiener Art, Rumpsteak und Ochsenbäckchen, jeweils mit Beilagen. Es war alles auf den Punkt zubereitet und es war sehr, sehr lecker. Auch der Eisbecher als Nachtisch war sehr gut. Wir hatten im Vorfeld den Tisch bestellt und durften auch unseren Hund mitbringen. Waren heute zum Geburtstag von meiner Mutter hier eingeladen zum Essen. Ich hatte das Mexico Schnitzel mit pikanter Paprika-Zwiebel-Sauce u. Pommes. Und es war hervorragend. Sehr lecker und eine reichhaltige Portion. Absolute Empfehlung..!

Ambiente war wirklich gut, aber die Bedienung war meiner Meinung nach nicht gut und nicht professionell. Über das Essen kann man nichts sagen, sehr lecker und eine super Portion.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im krummen Hund und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen! Das Essen war mega lecker! Die Preise sind völlig in Ordnung und wir haben uns dort auch echt wohlgefühlt! Total nett und alles tiptop 🥰.

Schon lange nicht mehr so ein tolles Steak bekommen. Nettes Ambiente und freundliche, engagierte Bedienung. Gerne wieder.

Buffet am 2. Weihnachtstag, unser erster Besuch. Die Bäckchen waren perfekt. Beim Buffett sind Garstufen eine Herausforderung, hier gemeistert. Lachs noch glasig, Schweine Medaillon rosa. Und das über den Abend hinweg. Service freundlich und aufmerksam. Beim servieren wurde ein Bier verstolpert. 😉 Gute höfliche Reaktion, wirklich sehr gut darauf reagiert. Der eine Sterne Abzug: Wir saßen leider an der Eingangstür. Kälte und leichter Zigaretten Rauch "strömte" dadurch herein. Wir kommen zum a la Carte wieder, dann an einem anderem Tisch.

Wir waren heute zufällig zum ersten Mal nach dem Cranger Weihnachtszauber hier. Das Essen, die Bedienung, der Service und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis waren ausgezeichnet.

Weihnachtsbuffet Sehr gelungenes Weihnachtsbuffet. Das Essen war durchweg sehr lecker, abwechslungsreich und von hoher Qualität. Besonders positiv: Es wurde ständig frisch nachgelegt, sodass jederzeit alles verfügbar und appetitlich war. Der Service war aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Bedienungen freundlich, locker und angenehm unaufdringlich – genau richtig für einen entspannten Nachmittag. Unterm Strich: rundes Gesamtpaket aus gutem Essen und starkem Service. Klare Empfehlung, gerne wieder.

The Krummen Hund restaurant is easy to find in Wanne Eickel. Directly behind the Cranger Tor (Cranger Gate). 🤓☝️ The ambiance: well-kept, with plenty of Ruhrpott charm. Just like the staff: super friendly and helpful. 😃 There's a terrace, which is especially busy during the warmer months. It can't hurt to reserve a table. We've been there several times, this time during the week. And, as always, we were well looked after. There were four adults and, without prior consultation, we all opted for a schnitzel. Scampi schnitzel, Cranger schnitzel, and two Mexican schnitzels. Since we all had salad for lunch, we had Kaisergemüse instead. (It was very tasty). The schnitzels and everything else were, of course, all excellent. 🤤🤤🤤 This time we had the Wanner Hammer, with a double patty. Delicious Always happy to come back👍👍👍 If you want to stop by for the Cranger Kirmes or the Cranger Christmas Magic, make sure you reserve a table.☝️☝️☝️

My wife and I ate at your place yesterday. Unfortunately, it was the worst meal we've ever had. The fries in our dishes were rock hard, and you quickly got the impression they were cooked twice. My wife also had pork fillet, which resembled a leather couch. To make matters worse, I had to sit on the toilet for the first time in the restaurant. When we got home, it even came out the top. Well, that was nothing, unfortunately.

The restaurant is located right next to the Cranger Tor. Upon entering, you're immediately greeted with a friendly welcome. This was our second visit and we went straight to the beer garden, which has a rustic decor. The menu offers a wide selection. What we particularly like is that many dishes are also available as senior citizen menus. They are also happy to accommodate changes to the menu—no problem at all. The food is delicious and plentiful. We'd love to come back.

Ever since I went there once with friends, I've always enjoyed coming back. Super friendly staff, extensive menu, generous portions, reasonable prices... Everything your heart desires ;-) My favorites are the garlic mushrooms and the Cranger Teller... I don't even need to look at the menu anymore ;-)

The name "Zum krummen Hund" 🐕 is a relic from the golden age of Wanne-Eickel. This is what the crane in the Wanne-Eickel inland port was called, which loaded the coal onto the ships. Today, near the port, there is a restaurant with this name. It has a beer garden, especially in the summer, where you can also enjoy delicious food. In the summer, we like to come here often to spend time and eat delicious food. We especially love the starters here: shrimp, bruschetta, goat cheese special, fake snails, 🐌 Cranger garlic 🧄 bread, etc., plus a varied menu. Anyone who is near Crange and is a bit hungry can wander here. Salads, something hearty, burgers, pizza, and steak - you'll find everything 😉

It's always a pleasure to go there. The food is delicious, it comes quickly, and the service is super friendly and cool. My son was treated really well, even though he wasn't having a good day. There was no judgment; they were incredibly understanding. Thank you all 🙏🏻

Ordered two steak plates and got dry meat swimming in Maggi gravy. That was really nothing. Left half of it. Absolutely not worth the money. (51 euros with two drinks) Once and never again Not recommended

We're simply thrilled when we stop there.👍👍 It's lovely when you enter the restaurant; you're greeted warmly and friendly.👍👍👍 You can order whatever you want, and the food is always a delight. Deliciously prepared with fresh ingredients and imagination. Also worth mentioning is the senior citizens' plate, because with such generous portions, it would be a real waste to send it back. Alternatively, you can have the leftovers packed up to take away. Definitely recommended.

We celebrated my grandchild's confirmation there. It was a complete success. The space was beautifully decorated, the staff was super nice and attentive. The dishes, both starter, main course and dessert, were served as a buffet and were very tasty. Thank you. Very happy again.

The food was pretty good, the waitress (with the red hair) had no idea and apparently didn't want to do her job either. When asked about allergens, the only answer she got was no idea, instead of that I'll find out for you. The fair map is no longer up to date, especially with regard to the use of the toilets!

It is very loud there when the hut is full. The salsa sauce tasted like everything... just not spicy and the fried potatoes were included in small numbers... I had to order some more, which I was supposed to pay extra for on the bill later, but which I vetoed. Conclusion: Food was tasty, price/performance ok. ...go again.

War mit Freunden dort die das Restaurant bereits kannten. Riesige Auswahl an leckeren Steaks und Schnitzeln mit diversen Beilagen. Hab den Steakteller gehabt und bin sehr gut satt geworden. Dazu gute Biere und eine große Auswahl an Schnäpsen. Das Personal kam genau richtig zum nachfragen und war auch für netten smalltalk zu haben. Alles in modernem Ambiente.

I was there with friends who already knew the restaurant. A huge selection of delicious steaks and schnitzels with various side dishes. I had the steak plate and was very filling. There were also good beers and a large selection of schnapps. The staff were always there to answer questions and were also open for friendly small talk. All in a modern setting.

Nothing about the Crooked Dog is crooked :-) It was our first but definitely not the last time we were there. On the day of our visit it was pouring rain and we had reserved a table outside. There was no drama at all, because the outdoor area was prepared accordingly. Great tent construction with high-quality tarpaulins that could be opened and/or closed as needed. The Krumme Hund is modernly furnished and cozy. The staff is amazing and absolutely friendly, relaxed and quick! The menu is very good and there is definitely something for everyone. It was quite busy that day, but there was absolutely no sign of stress or delays. When the food came I couldn't stop spitting at first :-)! WOW what portions! Anyone who thinks large portions = poor quality! NO NO NO The food was TOP and of very good quality, I had a steak and it was cooked to perfection (medium) and soft as butter and very tasty. We were asked again and again (without being intrusive) whether everything was OK and whether we needed anything else. In the meantime it rained again and the tarpaulins were closed and we were able to continue eating comfortably. The rain stopped and the tarpaulins were opened and all of this was done without any stress or hassle. There were 6 of us and I was curious about the bill. When this came I made another big cheek. Just €150 for 6 main courses and at least 2 drinks per person. Price performance so TOP TOP TOP. We had dinner there with friends on Sunday. The food was good, a young lady was very nice and friendly. She also received and earned tips. The other ladies are a bit bitchy, moody, We have our regular restaurants and Zum Krummen Hund will not be one of them.

We go there regularly and are always happy. It feels a bit like family when you go there

Yesterday we were able to enjoy the Christmas party there with our driving school with around 35 people. A buffet of the finest was served and from the boss to the nice service staff it was just positive. The quality of the food has to be imitated first... So there are 5 stars plus

We dined there with a group of 8 people. Everyone was very happy with their food. The portions are quite large. The operation and service is top. Despite the venue being busy, food was served quite quickly. Feel free to stop by there again for dinner.

Unfortunately, I was once again disappointed with the food. My dish was totally over-seasoned and the vegetables were mushy. The potato wedges were fried for far too long. The positive thing was that the food was ready quite quickly and the service staff was attentive and absolutely friendly.

When it's full, it's relatively loud there. The service is unique and suits the Ruhr area. We were there twice, once during the Cranger Christmas fair with a larger group and another time with two people. The food was good and plentiful, although some dishes were a bit greasy.

Wir werden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen. Unsere Truppe wurde robust und herzlich begrüßt.Jeder wurde individuell bedient und bekam genau das was er/sie wollte.Das Essen kam sehr schnell und war äußerst lecker und reichhaltig. Wir hatten hier viel Spaß. Auch als die Terrasse wirklich gut gefüllt war,hatte die Chefin noch immer den Überblick und ihren Charme.
