Das Restaurant war sehr gut besucht. Wir hatten keine Plätze reserviert. Trotzdem konnte die Wirtin uns einen Platz im Innenbereich anbieten. Trotz des Stresses blieben die Wirtin und Angestellten außerordentlich zuvorkommend und höflich. Das Essen war super gut. Der Hühnerhof kann absolut weiterempfohlen werden.

Tolles schnuckeliges Restaurant und kleiner Familienbetrieb. Man schmeckt beim Essen und spürt am Service, die Liebe zum Beruf und mit dem tollen und gemütlichen Ausbereich, der privates Biergartenflair versprüht, bleiben im Grunde keine Wünsche offen! Absolute Empfehlung!

There were three of us at the Hühnerhof, including our dog. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the menu is select, regional, and delicious! We had a Hamburg schnitzel, Mediterranean chicken, and pike-perch fillet in batter. The food was absolutely delicious, all freshly prepared and locally sourced. We had a wonderful evening and must try the fruit schnapps at the end!

We loved the ambiance and were looking forward to a cozy evening. Despite having a reservation, we couldn't sit outside. After 20 minutes inside, we were presented with a drinks menu for four people. After two minutes, we were very rudely asked what we wanted. There was no menu, but there was a blackboard outside with a few dishes that we could have looked at beforehand. Given the unfriendliness and apparent overwhelm, we left without anything to eat or drink...

Almost inconspicuous from the front, you enter a wonderfully beautiful and rustic atmosphere. You sit outside under many trees and plants, creating a wonderful ambiance. The food was delicious, and the selection of drinks was excellent. You'll find chickens on every corner here—a very original way of introducing them.

Yesterday, the three of us went to Hühnerhof. We didn't have a reservation because we hadn't anticipated it. Nevertheless, we were warmly greeted by the manager and given a table. Despite the restaurant being packed, we only had to wait as long as the chef needed to prepare the food fresh. All three dishes were lovingly presented and incredibly delicious. Many thanks to the team. It was my birthday, and we didn't regret stopping by. We'll be back.

Went there without a reservation. We were greeted politely. A table was found for us. We were served food and drinks. Everything was delicious. A little tip. The guest should take a closer look at the decor. Chickens, chickens, and chickens. Everything was nicely done. Highly recommended. Went back two weeks later. Friday evening Pre-booked There was a barbecue buffet in the garden. Pork on a spit with a dead wild boar. Homemade potato salad. Bratwurst..... I have to stop writing. I'm getting hungry. The choice of restaurants in the area is limited, but we found what we were looking for here and reserved a table for two. We really liked the ambiance, especially the outdoor area. The prices were a bit higher than usual, and I would describe the portion sizes as average. However, the quality and taste of the food were excellent. The service was okay, but unfortunately not great. The landlady seemed more withdrawn and distant than inviting and friendly. The older gentleman, on the other hand, was more open and welcoming.

The food was excellent! We had the schnitzel and venison with chanterelles. We arrived without a reservation, and even though everything was fully booked, they made it possible for us to still have a delicious meal with a bit of a wait. Thank you so much! That's what I call good service.

A beautifully designed restaurant located in a backyard with its own garden. The menu is reasonably varied, and the food itself is of very high quality! The live chickens and the pretty garden will be of particular interest to children, while adults will certainly enjoy the food. "Zum Hühnerhof" is definitely worth a visit!

We were there with our boys. The food was great, the service was excellent, and we had a wonderful evening. I recommend putting lemon candles under the table to keep the mosquitoes away.

We were there during the off-season and had good food. There was a seasonal selection, and the wait time was reasonable. There's a lot to explore on the grounds, but unfortunately, the pond in particular seemed poorly maintained.

We didn't have a reservation, but they found a solution at the counter. The food was really very good. The venison goulash was not only well-prepared, but also fresh from the hunter. The prices are reasonable, and you get what you pay for.

The food was tasty. What we found disappointing was the friendliness. The waitress seemed stressed, even though, by her own admission, there wasn't much going on. A change to a side dish was met with a mumbled surcharge, which ultimately turned out to be outrageous. So, overall, even though the food was good, it was a one-time visit for us.

A beautiful cozy restaurant! We were pleasantly surprised by the design right from the start! This is how you imagine a rural restaurant in your mind! Everything decorated with heart and a lot of creativity! And the employees are exactly the same! Very nice and you can have a nice chat! The food was really delicious!! It's been ages since I've had such damn good fried potatoes!! And I love a good fried potato!! The zander was a blast! Here in Jena that would have been at least two portions! The schnitzel was freshly homemade and had a perfect, crispy breading that was tossed in butter! This is very rare to find!!!!! We also picked up a bar of eggs that you can buy here! I came across this restaurant by chance because we were looking for an alternative to the New Year's Eve celebration in the Marina Wolfsbruch (200 EUR/person). What can I say: my family and I were thrilled. It was very tasty, we liked the ambience and the mood was good. There is a regularly changing menu with selected starters, main courses and desserts. A very good selection of drinks. I was very pleased with the high-quality white wines. Yummy. The price is impressive. We paid EUR 150 for 5 people with a good tip. If we're in the area again, we'd love to eat there again. Thanks to the chicken farm team for the lovely New Year's Eve dinner.

Fantastic family evening! There were twelve of us for dinner. Already on the lovingly designed path to the restaurant you feel welcome and that people here work with a lot of love for the guest. The atmosphere is beautiful: rustic, small, cozy, a fire burned in the warm room. Whether drinks at the bar or dinner at the table, we immediately felt at home! Super nice, attentive waitresses, with a smile on their faces and in the mood to joke. Very tasty food and selected wines at fair prices, without the prices leaving you wanting! On the contrary, we enjoyed ordering, feasting and drinking to our hearts' content. For me it's a must the next time we're in the region!

Not that easy... ... to get something to eat here in the region in mid-October - either it was fully booked or it was a day off. The Hühnerhof was one of the restaurants that was open and we were also able to reserve a table. Plus, the information from the internet sounded interesting. Since it was too cold outside, we stayed in the interestingly designed dining room. The interior is not large and we were happy to get a seat as the place filled up quickly. The service was friendly and we were able to place our orders quickly. We had our drinks just as quickly. Our food came after a not too long wait. The portions were good and the food was fresh and tasted good. What's interesting is that the menu only has seven or eight dishes and they seem to change regularly; they are written on a blackboard in the dining room.

Lovingly designed restaurant with a beautiful garden and good, homemade food. No canned or bagged food, but of course everything is very meat or fish-heavy and not exactly a vegan paradise. Price/performance ratio absolutely fine and everything was very tasty. You can tell that it's a family business, the young lady obviously didn't work entirely voluntarily and served you food with little emotion. The waiter, on the other hand, was full of enthusiasm and put everyone in a good mood, told anecdotes and, despite his aversion to technology, had everything well under control. All in all a nice place that we would like to come back to.

I had dinner there with my husband. The atmosphere is very nice. The owner and the younger lady from the staff were very rude. A friendly smile and word would have made a difference. Seasoned meat was cold. Pork steak with fries for €23 was kept very minimal. This was the first restaurant/restaurant where we didn't get full. Two hours later we got a pizza somewhere else. We were very disappointed about that.

I became aware of the chicken farm online while looking for the right dinner. I asked briefly by phone whether you were allowed to take a dog and then set off. Quite inconspicuous from the outside but behind it is a real gem. Rustic, cozy and simply GREAT! And then the food! I had venison loin with chanterelles and hash browns. But hello!!! I haven't had something so delicious and perfectly prepared in a long time. It was a real treat and we'll definitely be back on holiday next year. LG

We reserved a table for two people. The selection of dishes was large and the prices were high. At the beginning we ordered drinks and were told that the prices for chicken had increased again?! Well okay, these were probably linked to the current share price, who knows... After receiving the drinks, we politely asked for an ashtray, which we were allowed to take, but I ended up on the wobbly table and it caused the drinks to fall over . The waiter also noted that the table was really sensitive to the touch and expressed that the spilled drink would be replaced. There was a replacement, unfortunately it was added to our bill straight away, okay. The food was good. The ambience of the restaurant was inviting, but the older lady (presumably the owner) was unbearably brisk and unfriendly. You didn't feel like a welcome guest, but rather like a troublemaker! - Unfortunately we cannot make any recommendations here.

We wanted to end our last day of vacation with a nice meal today and had reserved a table, which worked. When ordering drinks we discovered that non-alcoholic drinks are only available in 0.2 l glasses, which I find impossible because beer is also available in large glasses, the service was a bit unfriendly when we ordered 0.4 l KiBa, The amount was then served to us in 2 small glasses... My meal of chicken breast, grilled vegetables and rosemary potatoes 23.50 euros was very clearly arranged on the plate and then ice cold. They responded to my complaint and later brought me back the same plate hot, guess it was made hot in the microwave. The other two meals were fine. What I don't think is great is that there is only one children's dish, even though there were a lot of guests with children. We also found that the staff is overwhelmed as soon as it is full.

The chicken farm is a great place to stay. Everything is very lovingly decorated. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. We had schnitzel and fried chicken breast. Unfortunately there weren't one or two dishes on the menu. A PITY. The ice cream is also very tasty. We'll still come back.

The food was actually quite good and tasted good, but unfortunately it wasn't much for the price. The waitress was annoyed, probably because it was so busy and she was under stress. She was quite rude towards us at first, but then calmed down a bit. But you just don't take it out on the customer.

The quality of the food was largely good. Boiled potatoes but apparently pre-cooked and warmed up. I've eaten much better. For children there are only nuggets with fries. Making a normal dish from the menu, such as pasta, in a smaller portion is not possible. For whatever reason.... Getting schnitzel with asparagus and potatoes without asparagus is not possible. You could just make a schnitzel with potatoes or fries and deduct a few euros for all I care. No do not go. For whatever reason.... The offer to bring the asparagus on a separate plate would not be implemented and I would forget... Card payment from 5o euros. OK. If you want to scare away guests... friendliness and service look different. You get annoyed about all these little things even before the food arrives. Reserved via email via the website. Confirmation was made by calling. I consciously write by email and also expect a confirmation or query by email. I can't and don't want to make private calls during the day while I'm working. The ambience was very nice and matched the concept. Unfortunately, card payments were only possible from €50 onwards, which I'm not familiar with. The service was okay, unfortunately only a few requests could be accommodated or an additional charge was required. The food was good, but the frozen goods as vegetables contradict the concept of "take your time, everything is fresh here".

Gemütliches Landgasthaus, in dem der Chef noch selbst kocht. Es macht Sinn, vor dem Besuch dort Plätze zu reservieren. Im Sommer kann man sehr schön draußen sitzen. Viele alte Gegenstände erinnerten an unsere Ausstattung auf dem Bauernhof. Wir waren im Oktober dort. Schön, dass das Feuer im Kamin brannte.

Leider konnten wir dort nicht essen, weil das Restaurant zu war. Im Internet stand,das es offen sei. Wir sind im dunkeln mit guter Stimmung unterwegs, wobei die Beleuchtung sehr rar war. Frustrierend sind wir wieder zurück zum Hotel.

Klein und fein, absolut liebevoll eingerichtet. Reservierung empfehlenswert. Lieber die Aussage "ein Essen ist aus" als TK Ware. Hat uns gut geschmeckt und man hat sich wohlgefühlt. Liebe Grüße

Tolle gemütliche Gaststätte mit einem sehr gemütlichen Ambiente liebevoll eingerichtet, auch der Außenbereich der wahrscheinlich im Sommer gut ankommt ist toll dekoriert und lädt zum verweilen ein. Der Service ist super und die Speisen sehr gut. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, was ich persönlich für perfekt halte, dennoch konnte man auch seine "Extrawünsche" einbringen. Es war für jeden etwas dabei...Preis Leistung ist auf jeden fall einwandfrei ... ich kann diese Gaststätte uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Ein nettes, familiengeführtes Restaurant. Das Speisen Angebot ist sehr gut. Auch das Ambiente ringsherum wirkt freundlich und gemütlich. Nur die Wirtin wirkt gestresst, bestimmt ist sie es auch wirklich. Die komischen Öffnungszeiten lassen darauf schließen, dass das Personal auch hier fehlt. Trotzdem kommen wir gerne hier her.
