I'm there every now and then, about twice a year. Never been disappointed. The kitchen has creative ideas.

Hammer! The meat is sooo tender! Super tasty sauces, great composition and perfectly crafted! Service is attentive, fast and friendly. All around great. Ambience outside could just use a few tweaks.

Very nice atmosphere, the service was excellent, very friendly and fast, the spaetzle for my little friend was perfect with cream sauce, Wienerschnitzel with salad and fries. They also tasted very good and the burger with pork slices was just really good. The homemade bun was soft and fluffy. Very good to eat, tastes excellent. and doesn't lie too heavily on the meat. Salad and vegetables very delicately seasoned, a very well-rounded affair. The tiramisu for dessert just had to be there. Absolutely top value for money.

Small and hidden in Eichstätt...not far from the old town...is the Höllbräukeller....which creates an ambience that makes you feel good...and the cuisine is second to none!!! Mr. Jobst & his team bring every dish to their plates fresh and of high quality at the star level.....A restaurant that still has a lot of energy to get a Michelin star.....Good luck in the future

Very good advice from the chef (chef). The onglet or kidney cones were very tender and tasty. Also worthy of mention is the crisp, fresh vegetables that accompany it, seasoned with fresh herbs. Definitely worth a visit

Yummy. Yummy. Yummy. We had two meat dishes, a salad and dessert. Everything freshly prepared, fresh/quality ingredients. In terms of taste, you can't expect simple tavern cuisine here.

Another restaurant in Eichstätt that reduces the local cuisine there a little. You can go there to eat if you are happy with a small menu with few alternatives. Pan-fried pork and chicken with vegetables or chips or potatoes. Well okay.

The menu changes frequently due to seasonal foods and surprises each time with new, creative combinations. Top cuisine that could also exist as a trendy restaurant in a big city - a culinary highlight in small Eichstätt.

Top kitchen, where the young chef prepares the dishes with a lot of heart and also greets his guests very warmly. The crispy pork knuckle was a poem that I will remember for a long time. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

Here we cook with heart and love... create. It was a dream to be able to host a big dinner here. With the help of the host it became an unforgettable experience. A rush of the senses. We now come back every year with the Great Jane Austen Ball ...and certainly for private feasting too.

An afternoon you won't soon forget. The room is very noisy, no prices on the menu, then when you pay you notice the mess. For 2 normal meals, 6 drinks and a coffee 90 euros. It's okay... not again.

So delicious, in the truest sense. Organic pork schnitzel and you can taste it too. Super prepared and beautifully garnished. The starter salad in a glass can only be recommended, here too the taste is “bomb”. So if you're looking for a good restaurant, you definitely won't be disappointed here. Would love to come back.

We rarely go out to eat because ingredients are often completely messed up in the kitchen and we don't have enough money for that. Things are different here, which is why there is a very first review of a restaurant. In a beautiful ambience (vaulted cellar) you have a clear view of the kitchen. Only a few kitchens have this much (justifiable) self-confidence. The map is pleasantly short and speaks for itself. The standard menu is accompanied by a “seasonal menu”. There you will find solid dishes, often with a modern interpretation in every detail. This was our second time here and after six different dishes we can say with a clear conscience that we will be back. It is rare to find such perfectly prepared and lovingly prepared dishes at a very good price/performance ratio. The food is only surpassed by the people, who are very attentive, never intrusive and always friendly despite the "hut" being full. Without exception. The highlight on our first visit was getting to know the chef, who came to our table and got feedback straight away, in a very personable way. That doesn't always work, but you'll be out of the kitchen weeks later (when the room is completely full). greeted warmly as a "repeat offender" and once again pampered by the emperor. Stay like this and we'll see each other again often. Thank you!!!

We had dinner today on April 28th and had the salad carousel and the roast pork and it was really first class. I haven't had a restaurant that was this good in a long time! The service was very warm. We will be back definitely.

Today we had lunch with 6 people in the Höllbräukeller. All the different dishes tasted delicious and the service was also very attentive and friendly. This restaurant is highly recommended. Gladly again.

Das Restaurant ist in einem historischen, rustikalen Gewölbekeller untergebracht - außerdem gibt es einen schönen Biergarten. Es werden lokale Gerichte mit Zutaten aus der Umgebung serviert, die jedoch immer etwas Besonderes im positiven Sinne sind. Das Essen schmeckte bei allen meinen Besuchen ausgezeichnet. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und die Preise sind in Ordnung. Rundum zu empfehlen!

The food was delicious, the meat was very tender and tasty. There is an open kitchen where you can watch the chefs preparing food. Service was great, about half of the tables were occupied and even the chef himself came by and asked if everything was okay. Hats off! Keep it up and see you soon!

My husband and I visited this restaurant shortly after our wedding. The reviews were soooo good, we just had to stop by. We did not regret it! the service was so incredibly good. The chef personally came out of the kitchen and asked the guests present whether they liked the food. All I can say is: it was tasty! For the money you really get your money's worth!!!

Great food, great service, definitely go! Following the good reviews, we visited this rather inconspicuous restaurant from the outside. A colorful, somehow misplaced chain of lights at the entrance to the basement restaurant initially made us very skeptical. Inside, however, the skepticism quickly subsided. Modern and cozy, high-quality furnishings. The waiter's welcome was professional and friendly and we were immediately shown to our table. It was pleasantly bright in the cellar vault and not so loud thanks to cleverly installed sound absorbers on the ceilings. The Höllbräukeller is a rather small restaurant with around 12 tables. We received our drinks and the menu very quickly. The dishes on the menu are all regional and seasonal and are not classic brewery dishes. They are well described in the frequently changing menu and put together very creatively. The best thing about them is that they are freshly made with local ingredients and taste great. The side salads were a real hit. Served in a slightly taller glass with home-pickled vegetables and fresh leaf salad as well as a great dressing. A rather larger portion of salad. For the main course we had schnitzel with a special breading made from root vegetables, horseradish and various spices. I have never experienced such a flavor explosion with schnitzel before. There were also herb potatoes. The portion with 2 schnitzels and potatoes was for those who were hungry. The next evening we went out to eat there again and were immediately recognized. I really wanted to try the venison sausages with Bavarian cream cabbage, which I had already seen on the menu the day before. But it was Easter Sunday and that evening there was an Easter menu with many delicious dishes but not the venison sausages. The super friendly Italian waiter asked for me in the kitchen and lo and behold, the “extra sausages” were freshly prepared for me. And that was a perfect meal again. The very tasty sausages and the homemade cabbage were phenomenal. The chef was at the table later and told us something about his cuisine. Everything is prepared fresh, no finished ingredients are used and it is also fermented in-house. I could now describe my wife's delicate lamb dish and the delicious desserts in more detail. But that would be too long. Conclusion: if you are ever in Eichstätt, then definitely go to the Höllbräukeller. Great food at fair prices and you'll feel really full. There are things to eat here that you haven't tasted before.

There were 6 people for dinner, with a reservation and all the dishes at the table were very tasty. All suppliers are listed in the menu, which we thought was really great. No matter what type of meat, drinks, vegetables... Everything from the region👍 had a beef tile steak with potatoes and very fine, cooked vegetables and a mixed salad beforehand. Everything was beautifully presented and the starter salad was simply different. It came in a jar with bulgur, green and other seasonal vegetables, very tasty! For dessert we had the tonka bean parfait and the Hölbräuspritz, which I can only recommend. The service was friendly and accommodating! The restaurant is somewhat hidden on Westenstraße below the St.Walburg monastery. Anyone who has found the entrance to the Höllbräukeller will be rewarded with excellent dishes made from regional and very high quality products. The menu offers creative but not unusual cuisine for special tastes. The prices are on a higher level, but you don't get standard dishes, but rather culinary ideas that you should get involved with. Our group was completely satisfied.

The Höllbräukeller is absolutely fine dining and more than recommended. Be sure to reserve in advance and the small disadvantage of the room is that when it is full and many tables are occupied, it is very loud. But the food, service and ambience in the vault are excellent

We were lucky enough to be able to take part in a cooking course, game cooking course. After a nice welcome with an aperitif and delicacies, we were able to witness the preparation of a 4-course menu. Watching the deer being cut up, helping to make Maultaschen filled with venison meat for the soup, making mountain cheese nests, filling them with salad and making your own wild sausages for course 2, rolling Schupfnudeln and cooking, at the same time cooking the venison stock, the soup, the goulash, the sauce, The previously cross-fried venison loin rests in the Hold o Mat. Seeing how a super delicious four-course menu was conjured up using regional ingredients without any flavor enhancers, which was visually beautifully decorated and extremely deliciously prepared, and getting lots of helpful tips was unforgettable. Loveless food. Pork steak carriage: black burnt cheese on top, completely dried out pieces of pork schnitzel underneath, downright tough. House fries are somehow a kind of fried croquettes or something in the form of very thick fries. . Wasn't really recognizable. Unfortunately, this innkeeper won't see us again. The cellar itself is a beauty.

I can't understand the previous recession. I had a schnitzel with the house fries and was actually very satisfied, especially because the fries weren't standard fries. It was something different. I liked the service and location. A pub cellar as you imagine it. I will come back.

We went to Höllbräukeller for the first time today and our expectations were exceeded. The concept is particularly convincing. Ein super Restaurant mit sehr leckeren Essen mitten in Eichstätt! Wir haben kurzfristig noch einen Tisch zum Mittagessen bekommen. Die Reservierung ging super schnell und unproblematisch über WhatsApp :-) Für unsere Tochter stand schon ein Hochstuhl am Tisch als wir angekommen. Das ist Service! Das Servicepersonal und der Koch sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Absolut zu empfehlen. Wir kommen wieder.

Super lecker und hochwertig gekocht, mit Zutaten aus der Region. Die Zulieferer werden schon auf der Speisekarte mit vermerkt, damit man weiß, woher das Essen kommt. Die Bedienung ist unglaublich aufmerksam und freundlich. Selbst der Küchenchef kommt vor und erkundigt sich, ob alles gut ist, wenn es die Zeit zulässt. Man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Wir kommen beim nächsten Urlaub sicher wieder!!!

Das ausgewählte 4 Gänge Menü war ein Gaumenschmaus und auch optisch sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr nett, freundlich gund zuvorkommend und auch der Chef erkundigt sich, ob alles passt. Alles zusammen, mit dem wunderschönen Ambiente und der angenehmen Atmosphäre des Lokals, haben meine Geburtstagsfeier zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht und auch meinen Gästen hat es vorzüglich geschmeckt und sehr gefallen.

Spontan hergekommen und einfach nur begeistert wieder nach Hause gefahren! Das Essen hier ist unfassbar gut und wird frisch zubereitet. Wir haben gestern aufgrund der vielen guten Bewertungen spontan einen Tisch reserviert und können das Restaurant wärmstens weiterempfehlen! Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Unser Essen wurde ohne langes Warten serviert und war superlecker! Das Schnitzel mit raffinierter krosser Brotpanade, der Saibling mit perfekter Kruste, die hausgemachten Nudeln und der Kürbis-Kartoffelstampf als Beilagen einfach sensationell. Alles wurde frisch und ohne Fertigprodukte vom sympathischen jungen Wirt zubereitet, der sein Handwerk bestens beherrscht. Nach getaner Arbeit ging er von Tisch zu Tisch um zu fragen, ob alles gepasst hat und nahm sich sogar Zeit für einen Plausch mit den Gästen bei dem man die Begeisterung zum Kochen richtig merkte. Weiter so!

Essen sehr lecker. Nicht zuviele Gerichte auf der Karte. Große Portionen. Dadurch sind auch die Preise gerechtfertigt. Personal sehr freundlich. Restaurant ist auch nicht sehr groß. Deshalb unbedingt vorher reservieren. Der Chef Mike ist auch der Koch. Er kam zu den Gästen und fragte, ob alles ok war. Hatte ich so auch noch nie. Am Ende waren wir seine letzten beiden Gäste und er hat mit uns noch 1,5 Stunden gequatscht.

Leider kann ich den sehr guten Bewertungen nicht zustimmen bzw. kann diese nicht nachvollziehen. Zwar hatte ich mich „nur“ für die Käsespätzle entschieden, diese waren jedoch geschmacksneutral. Von Käse war relativ wenig vorhanden, so das dieses Gericht nicht nur vegetarisch war, sondern schon extrem Vegan. Der gesamte Gastraum war relativ leer, wir (2 Personen) mussten jedoch im Eingangsbereich sitzen da alles reserviert war. Eigenartig das nachfolgende Paare ohne Reservierung doch noch im Gastraum einen Platz bekommen haben. Der Service (vor allem der Kellner) überheblich und arrogant. Es wurde beim abräumen nicht einmal gefragt, ob es geschmeckt hat bzw. alles gut war. Ansonsten hätte ich mich da schon so geäußert.Da ich sehr großen Hunger hatte habe ich alles aufgegessen, war auch egal geschmeckt hat es je nach nichts.

Hier trifft Tradition auf Moderne sowohl was das Essen als auch die Einrichtung angeht. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und sehr lecker gegessen.

Eins der besten Restaurants! Wir waren sehr spät eingetroffen, die Küche war bereits am Aufräumen. Wir haben dennoch was bekommen und es war sehr lecker. Die Lammhaxe ist einfach spitze, das Schnitzel auch sehr lecker. Und die Location an sich ist schon was besonderes und schön eingerichtet.

Wir waren gestern durch Zufall im Hofbräukeller. Das Essen war perfekt. Das "boarische Sushi " und der Lammbraten waren vorzüglich. Das selbstgemachte Karamelleis schmeckte nach mehr. Der Wein war ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Sehr zu empfehlen. Wir werden auf jedenfall wiederkommen.

Eines der besten Restaurants in dem ich je war, von der Vorspeise bis zur Nachspeise jedes Gericht macht den Eindruck das der Chef etwas ganz besonderes gezaubert hat. Hier hat man keine Angst neue Dinge auszuprobieren und daher trifft man auf Geschmäcker die man zuvor noch nie geschmeckt hat. Das Fleisch ist so zart das es auf ser Zunge zergeht, die Beilagen so gut gewürzt das man endlos davon essen könnte. War immer gerne hier oder habe hier essen geholt auch Extrawünsche waren nie ein Problem! Empfehle auf jedenfall hier einmal herzukommen wenn man in der Nähe ist.

Super super Essen. Personal Chef TOP. Leute da müsst ihr hin. LG aus Leipheim. Kommen wieder. Waren am Altstadtfestsamstag mit 10 Leuten beim Essen. Hervorragend gespeist. Service 1 a, trotz einer Hochzeit und ein Chor mit 30 Leuten war auch noch da, hatte der Superwirt noch Zeit uns mit einem Schnapserl zu begrüßen. Hat man auch nicht jeden Tag. Ist nur wärmstens zu empfehlen. Wir danken nochmal und bis nächstes Jahr LG AUS LEIPHEIM

Wir waren heute spontan in Eichstätt und nach Bewertungen ein Restaurant fürs Mittagessen gesucht. Die guten Bewertungen waren hier nicht umsonst geschrieben. Ich habe mir einen großen Salat und Saibling genommen. Der Koch versteht schon, wie man einen Fisch gut zubereiten kann. Der war richtig gut. Der Salat war nicht nur sehr lecker, sondern auch sehr gesund: Blumenkohl, Kraut, Rucola, Selerie, Karotten, Gurke und Sonnenblumenkerne. Jmd hat sich Gedanken über die Zusammensetzung gemacht. Gleichen Salat bekommt man als Beilagesalat. Netter Biergarten, saubere Toiletten und das Restaurant selbst sieht authentisch aus. Alles top. Mir hat nur Pommes im Menü gefehlt, aber muss nicht sein))

Gezellig en zeer lekker eten. Snelle en vriendelijke bediening. Jammer dat er veel wagens voor het terras parkeren / stilstaan met draaiende motor..

Am Wochenende waren wir zum Wandern im Altmühltal. Endstation war Eichstätt, wo wir am Abend im Biergarten eingekehrt sind. Der Service war sehr freundlich und schnell und das Essen sehr lecker. Ebenfalls war das persönliche Gespräch mit dem Wirt sehr angenehm. Das Lokas ist eine Empfehlung wert. Kommen gerne wieder!

Das Essen top, der Service absolute Spitze. Wir kamen als große Gruppe (8 Erwachsene, 9 kleine Kinder) spontan in den Biergarten. Neben der Qualität der Küchebeeindruckte uns die große Kinderfreundlichkeit und Ruhe der Servicekräfte. Vielen Dank dafür! Absolute Empfehlung!

Waren gestern das erste mal hier alles in allem perfekt angefangen von dem Bachseiblling (sehr lecker) das Bürgermeisterstück (steak) genau auf den Punkt. Wir kommen wieder hervorzuheben ist der Service sehr freundlich und auch kompetent auch der koch erkundigte sich was ich ebenfalls sehr hoch ansehen.

Empfehlenswert! Man sitzt sehr schön im Gewölbekeller. Super freundlicher, super schneller Service. Salatkarussell und Steaks (22,5h sous-vide - für uns einen Ticken zu lang, zu mürbe) sehr lecker.

Das Essen war ein Augen- und Gaumenschmaus. Wir wurden sehr aufmerksam und überaus freundlich bewirtet. Unsere 8er-Gruppe war begeistert.

Eigentlich wollten wir nur ganz normal zum Essen gehen. Aber dass wir dann dort so verwöhnt wurden, damit haben wir nicht gerechnet. Supernette, zuvorkommende Bedienung, der Chef hat extra gekocht und ist dabei auf Allergien eingegangen. So leckeres Lamm habe ich noch nie gegessen. Wenn ich mehr als 5 Sterne vergeben könnte, hätt ich das gemacht.

Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, allerdings durch das Gewölbe sehr laut, wenn alle Plätze belegt sind. Das Essen war ok, nichts besonderes. Der Großteil von uns hat das Lokal leider hungrig verlassen. Preislich finde ich es etwas zu teuer.

Essen war leider gar nicht entsprechend unserer Erwartungen hinsichtlich der sehr guten Bewertungen auf Google. Da ist sehr viel Luft nach oben möglich und nötig. Das fanden wir sehr schade. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Ambiente in Ordnung.

Regionale Produkte, regionale Küche, aufmerksamer freundlicher Service. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr gutes Essen mit Produkten aus der Region, es lohnt sich, erst später am Abend nach Dessert zu fragen 😉 Zuvorkommender und aufmerksamer Service - wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Absolut zu empfehlen. Wir sind in unserem Urlaub gleich zweimal hier gewesen und total begeistert. Sehr freundlicher Service und eine ausgezeichnete Qualität. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!
