A lovely restaurant with delicious and fresh food. Highly recommended.

The patio heaters weren't turned on, even though several people were cold. We were told it was too expensive to turn them on. The food portion was very small for the price, and despite it being self-service, we had to wait forever. The server at the counter was incredibly unfriendly and clearly didn't care. Despite the pager, some food was forgotten, and we had to keep asking for it. We definitely won't be going back.

A fantastic, rustic farmhouse inn! 👍 The food is consistently delicious, and the staff is very friendly. Long wait times are unheard of at Steinschlösschen. The apple wine is also highly recommended. The fried potatoes are always incredibly tasty! 🥰 They occasionally have specials like pork knuckle, which is absolutely delicious! 😋 Personally, I think they have the best hand cheese in the entire Odenwald region.

We ate there on November 2nd, 2025, with a group of eight. The decor and the restaurant have a certain charm, reminiscent of the 70s. The landlady was quick and friendly, the food was tasty, the drinks were chilled, and with "dessert" we even got a free round of spirits – thank you! It's not cheap anymore, like everywhere else. Schnitzel, fries, and salad cost €18.50, a normal price; there are even cheaper options. A small side salad at €5 is already on the pricier side, as is a 0.3l Coke at €3.60. Nevertheless, if you want to experience something different and can afford to pay a reasonable price, you should visit the old Schmuckerstube.
