I've been here for lunch several times now and haven't been disappointed yet. The gyros is amazing! I've never had better. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I've been going there for about 20 years now, the portions are more than sufficient for the price, it's a family business as far as I know.

I was a little skeptical, but the good reviews are no coincidence! They could easily call themselves a good Greek restaurant. A 20-minute walk from the airport, the food was good, the service quick and friendly, top-notch 👍

I didn't think my food was very good. The schnitzel was fried in a deep fryer and tasted strongly of old oil. The bifteki was okay.

We were here with 20 people after a funeral reception. It finished an hour earlier than expected, but that was no problem for the fantastic team at Zum Griechen. Great service, generous portions, lovely atmosphere, and above all, delicious food! A perfect lunch and highly recommended. Thanks again!

My favorite Greek restaurant on Wacholderweg—I'm absolutely thrilled! The moment I walk in, I feel instantly at home thanks to the cozy, typically Greek atmosphere. Despite the usually full place, the service is friendly and on top of everything. ​I opted for the gyro, and the portion is huge! The meat is juicy and tender. It came with a crisp salad and delicious fries. Everything tasted fresh and authentically Greek. ​Of course, I had to wait a bit for the food, but given the quality and the busyness, I'm happy to accept that. The value for money here is absolutely spot on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Also ideal for pick-up. Parking in front of the restaurant is difficult, but you can always find somewhere nearby. You'll need a walk afterward anyway... Reservations recommended!

The welcome is friendly and courteous. We had the lamb platter; the meat was excellent and the price was reasonable in both quantity and quality. The service was pleasant. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We went there today for a birthday dinner, which unfortunately was a bit of a mess. The food wasn't sent back to the kitchen properly twice. We were offered a free beer, which we declined because we already had one. This wasn't normal at all when we paid, and she even emphasized that she was waiving the one beer. We accepted it gratefully, unfortunately didn't look at the bill, and when we got home we saw that she had charged us for it, which I think is a real shame. Then you should keep your mouth shut.

Yes, the portions are very large, too large for us, but it's no problem to get smaller portions for children, even for adults. The waiters are very nice and accommodating!

Regular restaurant. Delicious food at reasonable prices! Always have leftovers to take home. They even give you a free aperitif! I wish they would move to my house. Favorite menu items are calamari and gyros.

Tasty, meat is tender and monster portion

We always enjoy coming here for dinner. My boyfriend orders the gyro plate, and I have the baked bifteki with cheese – both are truly delicious! I don't like bifteki everywhere, but here it's a dream. The portions are huge, and the staff is friendly and attentive. A quick note: If you sit inside, it can get a bit noisy, as there are lots of people picking up their food at the counter. Thank you to the entire team 🥂💕

Great food good value for money

Between a restaurant and a snack bar, the price-performance ratio is still reasonable. The food and the selection are very good. The place is very cozy and nicely decorated. (The chairs could, perhaps, be checked; there are some that aren't in such good condition.) Service for a three-star establishment... the waitresses spent most of their time at the front counter and rarely with the guests in the back.

By far the best Greek restaurant. Amazing food,reasonable price,big serving size,nice and polite staff.

Gyros were dry and overseasoned. Rice was undercooked. Tomato sauce on the rice, but it's not listed on the menu. Difficult with allergies. Pita bread was strangely greasy...deep-fried or soaked in oil in a contact grill. I found it below average. The portions were large. That's the only good thing here. Staff were friendly when I picked it up.

We eat here regularly, partly because there aren't many restaurants in Fuhlsbüttel. In the summer, it's nice to sit outside, and the gyros are always delicious and crispy. However, we've noticed a significant deterioration, initially since the change of ownership, and then again recently. The female waitresses aren't very friendly, and even a thank you for a decent tip isn't often heard there. In the past, we'd get two, sometimes even three, ouzos with our meals; now, you're happy if you're even offered one. Hopefully, that will change.

worst Greek restaurant I have been to, zero spices (not even salt lol), tasted like fat. Raise ur chefs salaries so maybe they can go to culinary school lmao. Don’t go there if you actually know what Balkan food should taste like.

It used to be very good there. Yesterday we were disappointed for the second time. The ouzo was warm. We told the waitress so. The second one was also warm. The staff is unfriendly and irritable. It's hardly clean either. Cobwebs all over the table. The restroom is dirty and without toilet paper. This place is out of our reach for now.

I'd gladly drive 20 minutes for such a great meal. It tastes absolutely delicious, and the portions are simply fantastic for the price. There's so much you can't even finish it. If you're going to eat a Greek restaurant, then this one is it. Simply amazing 🙏🙏🙏

The food is plentiful, but that's not the only thing that matters. The food is standard Greek food, and delicious, but why bother with the gyros just for that?! Reservations are recommended! The food and service aren't 5 stars.

I let myself be surprised and ordered a Cretan salad (No. 30), which was new to me. It was like a bruschetta with a large, crusty spelt bread as the base. Absolutely delicious!

I'm very satisfied with the quality and the reasonable price! During a bike tour, I stopped by this restaurant at the end of my ride and was grateful for the friendly service and the truly delicious gyro! The portion was actually (unlike so often at other restaurants) so large that I was truly full. 👍 There's plenty of seating, and the service was friendly and prompt. For me, this was also the best gyro and the freshest pita bread I've been served in a long time. 😊 All I can say is: Keep it up! I'll definitely be back. 😁

Abendessen mit sehr leckerem Lamm-Gerichten. Es gibt sicherlich gemütlichere Restaurants, ich würde es eher als sehr komfortablen Imbiss bezeichnen, Atmosphäre war busy & lautere Geräuschkulisse. Essen-Abholer standen direkt zwischen den Tischen. Alles es war sehr lecker und ging flott. Männlicher Service war sehr herzlich, das weibliche Personal eher straight.

Yes, I can do that!!! No matter whether it's lunch or a good meal in a nice atmosphere in the evening. - inside and outside! There's a wonderfully large terrace outside - and the traffic on Wacholderweg doesn't bother me at all! Price/performance is top! The staff courteous and friendly! The tarama is fantastic... We like to go there on Fridays, even at lunch time, to start the weekend... Petra

Very large portions, which is generally not a bad thing when it comes to Greek food. Unfortunately, we were not impressed by the dishes or the quality of the meat. Unfortunately, we didn't have the feeling of being welcome. The restaurant ambience was okay and inviting. But based on our experience, we won't come back again.

I was in Hamburg for work and got the tip! I was there two evenings in a row! The food was great! Very, very tasty! The gyros are crispy, the souvlaki are buttery soft! Even the fries tasted better than anywhere else! Outstanding!!!

The food and service are awesome. Not only recommended, but a MUST! Since my time as a student and the intensive study trip through Greece, my preference for Greek cuisine has developed. Since then, one or two Greek restaurants have been visited and so there is enough experience. We were in this restaurant for the first time and were extremely impressed. It started with the selection of dishes. We talked as a family about the size of the portions and whether the kids should choose a small portion of gyros or a regular portion. For the sake of completeness, it must be mentioned that there is also a baby portion, which is the smallest. When the owner noticed this, he spoke out in favor of a small gyro and assured us that as an adult he wouldn't be able to manage the small gyro from the crowd and that it was completely sufficient for children. We found that surprising, because in other restaurants they wouldn't have said anything to increase sales and would have sold the larger menus. According to the owner, the food weighs almost 1kg for the adult portion. The kids weren't served that. The leftovers were packed up American doggy bag style and taken away. The service staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is extremely delicious. The price-performance ratio is great. It was our first time at ZUM GRIECHEN, but it certainly wasn't the last time. Conclusion: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had dinner there with our family. After the renovation, the restaurant looks incredibly stylish. As always, the portions per dish are extremely huge, so you always have to take something with you. As a Greek foodie, this Greek has become our absolute favorite. This Greek is highly recommended!
