The ambience is awesome, really beautiful old walls with rustic thick beams - looks great and appears well maintained. Food was also good and fresh. The gyros is recommended - not so fatty and nice and crispy

From the moment we are greeted, we feel like we are bothering the waiter who leaves us in the middle of the room to go chat with other customers. After a long wait, orders are finally taken. We left 1 hour 45 minutes after our arrival, on an empty stomach, the order having supposedly been lost on the computer. Throughout the wait, the waiters passed our table without showing any interest and nothing happened despite our complaints. When we leave the restaurant, we are promised that everything will be ready in 10 minutes 😡 Establishment to avoid!

A botched birthday We made a reservation by phone to celebrate a big birthday with 8 people. When we arrived about 5 minutes before the appointment, tables were rushed together to make room for 8 people. (Why do you make a reservation again?) After 10 minutes the drink order was taken and the drinks were served after another 15 minutes. And that was the only thing that worked. Oh, and a bottle of ouzo was included. The food order followed. During this we were told that the rotisserie was broken and there were no gyros. Since the menu didn't offer many alternatives, a total of 3 different dishes were ordered. In the case of a dish that three people ordered, only one portion was “available” and the other two people had to change their minds a second time. After all the back and forth when ordering, a guest asked to go through the orders again to avoid surprises, which was refused by the waiter, who was obviously overwhelmed (also linguistically) but was very confident in himself. When the appetizers finally came, there were too many and the pitas we ordered were missing. But well, you're not like that. At least there was white bread. In addition, no employee was visible anywhere, apart from the one behind the counter, who was stubbornly looking at his cell phone. The eaten dishes remained on the table for ages and empty glasses were ignored. It was only when the main courses came that we were forced to clear away. 5x stuffed minced steak was served (4 were ordered). So everything was okay so far. The surplus was taken back (after discussion). One dish was completely forgotten, another was okay, the other two apparently consisted of leftovers (even gyros were on the plate, despite the rotisserie being broken 🤔). The birthday child had now lost his appetite. I confronted the waiter, who made a thousand excuses (everyone was to blame but him). They wanted to bring the forgotten pitas for the starter during the main course, which I politely declined (they also go perfectly with the minced steak) 🙄 Metaxa was brought to us to calm us down. We then paid, packed up the rest of the food and left the restaurant in a hurry, even though we would actually have liked dessert. The food was pretty bland mediocre at exorbitant prices. The menu is very clear, there are no classics like Mousaka, vegetarian main dishes are completely missing, although that doesn't affect us. Conclusion: never again.

Very friendly service and, in our opinion, good cuisine. The dishes were freshly prepared. There is also free parking in the yard. On our trips we always stop for lunch or dinner.

Be careful with the voucher book! Point 2 of the redemption conditions is not adhered to, so a children's dish will be deducted instead of a second main course!

Addition after more than a year: Today it wasn't good, it's a shame I was honestly looking forward to it and just ordered the classic gyros and calamari (#62 €17.90). A little above average here in the area but OK. But today the most important thing suffered a lot, it didn't taste good and that's not because tastes are different. I won't give a detailed description and hope that it was just a slip-up. Yes, unfortunately the beer was too warm and I wasn't the only one who thought that. Sry, I certainly don't want to harm the operators here, the people there are all nice and friendly. But it just wasn't good in terms of quality or taste and I won't go there again. I can't give it any more stars either. first review: Was here for the first time today and all I can say is: Everything was good, nice personal service, extremely fast (30 seconds to the ouzo and 2 minutes to the first drink 😉👍). But the most important thing in a Greek restaurant is the food: It was very good and the portion size was rather large. Prices at first glance at the upper end of the local price scale, but including the large fresh salad and the two ingredients (fries and rice) as well as the portion size, the price can be described as completely okay. Today on Friday evening it was 2/3 full and I was able to stay without a reservation. But if the quality and service become so established, soon nothing will be possible without a reservation. All in all: I'll definitely come back and look forward to it! Oh yes, there were also 2 ouzos 😉

Unfortunately we were very dissatisfied. Drink order only after 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes when the drinks came, the food was ordered. Then after 45 minutes another waiter/cook came and apologized that there had been a mix-up and recorded everything again. Then after about 20 minutes our food arrived. But something was missing. Other customers wanted to pay and order but somehow they were unable to cash out and take the order. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the waitress was out of place. She walked past full tables and came out with two drinks in her hand, even though some guests were waiting for drinks. When she was asked if she could order something, she said, "from my colleague," but he never came. Some guests left the restaurant without eating or drinking. Sorry but I won't go to this restaurant again. It's a shame because the food is good. We then went to the “Postwirt” after the construction site (town hall) and it was the complete opposite. After 15 minutes we were able to order drinks. After another 15 minutes we were asked if we could order again...

We were very disappointed with the whole visit. Short Summary: 5:45 p.m. arrival, First drink order taken at 6:10 p.m. 6:30 p.m. got drinks and ordered food, 7:15 p.m. get food, no further questions about drinks. Two out of four dishes were also incomplete. Some guests left without ordering even after a long wait. The service was very slow and listless the whole time, and then became rude to other guests when they rightly asked.

We were here for dinner. Service, price/performance and the food were to our satisfaction! We would like to come again!

I haven't eaten so badly in a long time... It didn't taste good at all. But after 5 hours of driving we were hungry and simply tired and exhausted. We ordered Wiener Schnitzel and starter plates. I was very disappointed with this one. No bread was served with it either... but different state, different customs - as you can kindly point out :) I would also like to upload a picture, but that option is not available here. Oh dear, where do I start? The waitress, probably a student, only understood German very poorly. She wasn't an expert either. We then cleared away the full ashtray ourselves. The Cola without a lemon slice. We saw that there was one at the next table. When the food was finally ready, we didn't have any spit. The Suflaki totally burnt and dry. And because of fillet. The lamb chop burnt and fart dry, the gyros burnt and the scampi as well. The rice had more peas than grains. The obligatory salad was only available after the meal upon request. I added a star for the ambience because the beer garden in front of the restaurant was on an old town market.

This Greek doesn't even deserve this one star. As soon as we arrived there was some confusion because a table was reserved for 5 people and the waiter apparently didn't recognize the three children as people. We also had the voucher book with us, but there are no vegetarian main dishes. I wanted to discuss this with the less friendly waiter, whether it might be possible to use an appetizer for the voucher book instead. The waiter then asked me: 'Did you read the book or just bought it!?' It would be noted that the book only applies to main courses. After a lengthy discussion, he agreed to allow an appetizer as well. Unfortunately, all the food we ordered was tasteless, poor quality and not edible. But the prices are steep. The ambience is also not reminiscent of a Greek restaurant. Definitely not recommended!

We had dinner there on the Saturday before Pentecost. Service waiter, well, friendly is different, we ordered red wine and got white wine, the girl who needed the drinks was friendly and apologized and brought the red wine shortly afterwards, the Taramas starter was great, but we had to wait 10 minutes for cutlery. For the main course we ordered Corfu plate and lamb chops, the mixed plate was good and plentiful, the lamb was dry and too expensive for €24 (4 chops and few fries), the espresso was bad. We've had much better Greek food, but unfortunately that's not one of them.

I also expect good food from a “good” Greek! Unfortunately, this wasn't the case. Meat and salad had no taste at all! The chef should go back to culinary school. We were very disappointed!

Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed and expected more. We had reserved online in advance, stating the reason for the visit (we could have saved ourselves). Unfortunately, the warm appetizer platter for two people did not consist of the various appetizers that can also be ordered individually on the menu, as expected, but only consisted of fried zucchini and eggplant (?), stuffed mushy peppers and something else. Unfortunately not very satisfactory for the price. The gyros with metaxa sauce couldn't convince even my hungry husband, who usually eats everything. Even the gyros with pita couldn't pull it off. The pita was just doughy and tasted like nothing else, the gyros were fine, the fries were okay. When we wanted to pay we had to draw a lot of attention to ourselves, even though the shop was virtually empty. A pity!

When I walked into this restaurant I immediately felt like I was on a Greek island - the ambiance was so authentic that I almost expected to see sirtaki dancers around me! The taramas starter was delicious, so much so that I almost forgot that it wasn't the sunset that gave me the warm feeling in my stomach, but the delicious mix of fish roe and olive oil. I felt like Poseidon himself enjoying his divine appetizer on a Greek island. And the gyro? So juicy and delicious that I almost felt like a small flock of sheep had settled on my tongue! I almost forgot that I'm not in Mykonos, but in the Kipfenberg market square. The beef liver was tender like a gentle breeze from the Aegean Sea, and the calamari with tomato rice was a taste journey through the islands' picturesque villages. Hermes must have delivered them himself. But the highlight was definitely the Galaktobureko - sweet, creamy and as divine as a sunrise over Santorini! Overall, the food here was so amazing that I almost wanted to pack my bags and fly straight to Greece!

Food was very good, salad very simple and not particularly good, Children's schnitzel (1/2 hour waiting time), no moussaka at the Greek restaurant - not possible. There was a waiting time of over 1 hour for an incorrectly served meal (service mixed up the number), but only after repeated requests did the food finally arrive, after all 8 people had long since finished. Despite registration, a larger company represents (9 people) the service faced major problems. The tone of service staff should be trained

If you're looking for a catastrophe, go there! Waited 2.5 hours for food with small children. Absolutely overwhelmed young men who have no plan for running a restaurant! Food is like a canteen and tasteless. Never again !

We went out with a voucher for “two main courses for the price of one”. Reserved by phone, parked in a free parking lot 3 minutes away (there would also have been a free parking space in front of the restaurant), shown the voucher at the start of the order. Super attentive and friendly service staff; The second employee was also super polite! beer from Herrenbräu; Imiglykos red is very sweet and tasty. We were offered two ouzos for free in advance: nothing watered down - great product! Starters grilled pepperoni in garlic and tzatziki - bread was refilled: decent portions, typically Greek and very tasty! Main courses Gyros + fried calamari with fries + salad and large mixed salad with baked sheep's cheese: again decent portions, typically Greek and very good taste! After the meal, we were offered a coffee, espresso or something similar and also ouzo again BEFORE paying and despite the voucher. Despite the absolute cash payment stated on the voucher, it would have been possible to pay with a credit card. Service and food super great! One star deducted because people asked about the ambience: The Greek restaurant is relatively new and has located itself in a typically Bavarian and old-style restaurant in the small Bavarian town of Kipfenberg. The new Greek tenants have tried to change the furnishings, but the wood around it can't be easily renovated... The furnishings didn't bother me, but honestly I can only give it four stars. Conclusion: I'll be back! This Greek will probably become our new favorite Greek!

Je kunt daar lekker vooral het Griekse gerecht is een aanrader dat is met gyros somaki en ander vlees en met patat en rode rijs . Nog een ding je buik mag wel leeg zijn wat je raakt gauw vol van het eten

Neues, gut geführtes griechisches Restaurant im Zentrum von Kipfenberg. Hier sind erfahrene griechische Köche am Werk und die Bedienung war professionell und freundlich. Sehr lecker und empfehlenswert!

Von Außen schwer zu erkennen was es eigentlich für ein Restaurant sein soll. Die Beschilderung ist verwirrend. Zum Griechen/Fremdenzimmer oder bayerisches Lokal? Die Reservierung bis zur Platzvergabe hat reibungslos funktioniert. Getränke wurden schnell und zügig bedient. Wir hatten einen Tisch mit 12 Personen(darunter 3 Kinder). Für zwei Kinder wurden vorab Pommes bestellt und auch prompt geliefert. Die Hauptgerichte haben gut 45 Minuten gedauert, was noch im Rahmen ist. Zur Begrüßung gab es Ouzo und zu den Hauptgerichten Salat. Die Speisen waren qualitativ in Ordnung und auch der Preis ist gerechtfertigt. Für Kinder gibt es Kinderstühle. Alles in allem sehr freundlich und nett. Bei zusätzlichen Wünschen wie Mayonese, Ketchup, Kinderteller musste man zweimal nachfragen. Gute 4 Sterne ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Sehr, sehr leckeres Essen. Auch Spezialwünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Das Personal super-freundlich. Schönes, uriges Ambiente. Wir können "den Griechen" nur weiter empfehlen und kommen bestimmt sehr gerne wieder!

Essen war gut und warm, jedoch der Service miserabel. Wir waren nur zu viert und drei andere, kleinere Tische. Leere Getränke werden nicht beachtet und wir haben über eine Stunde auf eine Nachfrage gewartet… Es war einfach nicht schön dort.

Essen war sehr gut und vom Preis her vollkommen angemessen. Abzug dafür, dass die vorspeisentellet noch nicht abgeräumt waren als das Hauptgericht serviert wurde.

Ich hatte Gyros mit Kalamari, Tzatziki, Tomatenreis und Pommes. Außerdem war ein gemischter Salat inbegriffen. Die Gyros waren knusprig und lecker, und die anderen Speisen waren auch sehr köstlich. Die Portionen waren ausreichend groß, genug um satt zu werden. Das Restaurant zum Griechen in Kipfenberg ist absolut empfehlenswert. Ich werde jedenfalls wiederkommen.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal bei diesem Griechen. Obwohl wir die einzigsten Gäste waren, war das gesamte Essen frisch zubereitet worden und geschmacklich sehr sehr gut!! Wir kommen gerne wieder! :-)

Wir waren spontan dort zum Essen. Das Ambiente ist typisch griechisch mit guter griechischer Musik. Das Essen war sehr gut. Leider war die Bedienung etwas gelangweilt. Wahrscheinlich lag es daran das Donnerstag war und das Restaurant nicht voll war. Alles in allem ist es empfehlenswert. Ich komme mit Sicherheit wieder.

Super Küche, freundliche Bedienung schöne Einrichtung

Wir waren für einen Urlaub in Kipfenberg und suchten ein Restaurant. Aufgrund der Google Rezensionen waren wir bei diesem Restaurant zunächst skeptisch. Wir sind dann doch in das Restaurant gegangen und wären sehr positiv überrascht. Die Bedienung war freundlich, das Essen kam schnell, war heiß und sehr lecker. Wir hatten eine gemeinsame Vorspeise, zwei Hauptgerichte und zwei Desserts. Alles Speisen waren TOP. Der einzige Verbesserungsvorschlag wäre unsererseits, dass im Restaurant mit Karte gezahlt werden kann. Aktuell ist nur Barzahlung möglich, hier waren wir nach Corona und kontaktlosem Bezahlen anderes gewöhnt. Alles in Allem werden wir dieses Restaurant weiter empfehlen. Es hat unserer Meinung nach die negativen Rezensionen nicht verdient.
