Stopover from Italy and it was again very good

Went for a spontaneous meal by bike. No overnight stay. Had one chicken strips. Very little meat - just enough rice - lots of sauce... very high price for such a small amount of food. One cordon bleu with fries - OK price/performance ratio. OK service.

The restaurant boasts outstanding cuisine. The risotto with chanterelles, spinach, wild blueberries, and salmon trout was a truly exceptional combination of flavors. Desserts like "3 Summers" and the poppy seed parfeit were also a delight.

Great food, very friendly staff, always happy to come back. Great starting point for walks or hikes!

The three of us had a delicious meal here: maultaschen, pork medallions, and cordon bleu. The service was friendly.

An unforgettable experience at Zum Blauen Hecht We had the pleasure of staying at Zum Blauen Hecht, and it was nothing short of fantastic. The hotel is beautifully newly restored with attention to detail, and the atmosphere exudes both comfort and charm. The gastronomic experience was in a class of its own – every dish a delight for both the eyes and the taste buds. Everything matched the pictures on both Google and the hotel's own website, which only confirms the high quality and authenticity. It is rare that reality exceeds expectations – but it happened here. Our warmest recommendations. We will be happy to come again!

We had a very quiet night here. The rooms are clean and well-maintained. The breakfast offers everything you need. Hot egg dishes aren't included in the buffet, but they are made to order. For lunch or dinner, the restaurant offers truly excellent cuisine.

Everything is super clean. The food is very good. The breakfast is fabulous. I highly recommend the Blue Pike.

My family thoroughly enjoyed dinner in the sunny beer garden. The tender veal schnitzels (2x), roast venison, cordon bleu, and meatballs with homemade potato salad make us want to return. Definitely. A well-thought-out drinks menu, very friendly service (with callbacks...), and reasonable prices. Conclusion: Highly recommended.

The four of us had a wonderful evening meal. The location is very beautiful. It's nice to take a walk beforehand. The ambiance was appealing and well-kept. What bothered us, however, was the fact that the restaurant closes at 10 p.m. We would have liked to stay a bit longer, but shortly after 10 p.m., the lights were turned off all around us. It was like being kicked out :).

If you want to go out to eat, this is the right place 👍 very good.

Auf dem Altmühltalradweg unterwegs. Obwohl es in Kipfenberg ausreichend Gaststätten direkt im Zentrum gibt, sind wir die 20 min zum blauen Hecht gelaufen. Freundlicher Empfang - wir hatten reserviert. Die Gaststätte war im 19:30 Uhr gut gefüllt. Die Auswahl an Bieren und Essen war sehr gut und jedes Essen war hervorragend. Dazu eine sehr freundliche Bedienung. Eine klare Empfehlung !

We were on a weekend tour and were looking for an inn for lunch. The “Blue Pike” seemed right to us 😀! We weren't disappointed. Despite a family celebration in the large room, we were quickly seated and served in a friendly manner by a young lady in a dirndl. This is how Bavaria should present itself! We also felt that the inn is proud of its long history. Because you could also see pictures and things from the past. Thank you for the service and hospitality.

We stayed overnight once on our hiking tour. Excellent inn. Room tip top. There are even vegetarian dishes on the menu that really deserve the name. Great kitchen! Very happy again.

Had dinner there last Sunday afternoon. My wife had the Maultaschen, I had the Schäufele. Both super tasty and absolutely okay in terms of price! Gladly again!!

We went to eat at the Hecht building. We were very surprised. The restaurant itself is very modern, decorated with wood and with a lot of style. It really invites you to linger! The food, a dream! The menu was filled with delicious sounding and varied dishes. There was something for everyone, big or small! Our dishes were a visual and taste delight! The food came very quickly and was very nicely prepared. The service was also very prompt and very friendly. In the menu you could also read where the food came from and what had been processed. We personally thought that was very good. We were very, very satisfied all around, will definitely come back to eat and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience!

Nice hotel! We used it as a stop on the way to a ski vacation. Room ok. Super clean. Nice restaurant with down-to-earth food. Delicious. Good beers - Augustiner 😋 Not for wine lovers, I think. Very friendly and attentive service.

Top cuisine - regional ingredients - fair prices

Nice hotel for our transit to Austria. We have booked this hotel two years in a row now and will definitely recommend it. There is plenty of parking, the prices are as you would expect, and the food is very good. It is a small hotel but the rooms have good sizes. Especially if you are staying overnight. Not all rooms are extremely modern, but they are clean, tidy and fully equipped.

I'll be happy if the opening ball is somewhere else again.

I was there today with my relatives and everything was fine and dandy. At 10 a.m. after 1 p.m. the waiter asked me if I would like another wheat and of course I ordered one. 5 minutes later he asked us that he needed the table now. Man is literally thrown out

Were there for the first time today. You are immediately greeted in a friendly manner and taken to the table. A very nice atmosphere awaits you in the restaurant. The waitresses were all super friendly and always asked if everything was ok. There was a nice selection of food, something for everyone. And it tasted fantastic too. We will definitely go there again, it was worth every euro. The prices are moderate. But the whole house looks so inviting from the outside.

The landlord of our holiday apartment recommended the pike if you want to eat REALLY GOOD. And he didn't promise too much! Super nice ambience, modern, harmonious and yet comfortable. Great service and stunningly good food. Regional, seasonal at fair prices. It's a shame that we're only here for vacation - otherwise the Blue Hecht would become our regular restaurant. Definitely go!!!

We were looking for a beer garden and ended up in the blau Hecht. The service was extremely friendly and quick, the food was excellent, a freshly tapped beer, sunshine and nice conversations, even with the table next door, it was a lovely evening. We can highly recommend the restaurant!

On the way to Croatia, we stopped at a nearby campsite in the Altmühltal for an overnight stay. It was our first wedding anniversary and we were already planning on having pizza to celebrate and then we discovered the blue pike. We were thrilled to be able to enjoy such a beautiful ambience, such great service and such excellent cuisine! We couldn't have chosen a better place for our special day. We will definitely come back if we get stranded nearby again.

We ate at Blaue Hecht today and were very satisfied. The service was quick and very friendly, the food was very good and everything was homemade. You can sit nicely on the terrace and feel comfortable.

We were a cycling group of 10 people. Unfortunately the kitchen was already closed when we arrived because the menu was a huge surprise. Nevertheless, we were served in a very friendly and courteous manner, with everything the coffee kitchen and drinks menu had to offer. For the innkeeper it was a matter of course that we were allowed to recharge our batteries for the bicycles. He can be proud of his two girls: they are friendly, fast and look good too. We'll be back, but when the kitchen is open.

The restaurant is very modern and rustic at the same time; it is located on the outskirts near the Altmühl. Our service was exceptionally friendly and the dishes were sensational! The rooms are small and nice and the breakfast is excellent: a large selection of regional products, freshly prepared eggs and many different types of tea.

Had a very good meal there yesterday. Service (two young ladies in dirndls) was very friendly. The price is a little higher, but according to the menu the meat origin is understandable and good. Side salad not included, but it was very, very good. A stream flows right next to the inn's garden and further above is the spring. It couldn't be nicer! Clear recommendation! Very satisfied, end of a nice hike.

Not recommendable. Schäuferla was on the daily menu as freshly baked for €17.80, was warmed up, the outside of the meat was dry and hard. Sauce was sweet and cold. Coleslaw was extremely oily and salty. Juice spritzer 0.5 l for 4:40 € according to the menu. 0.4 liters were delivered and the invoice said €4.60. There were 7 people sitting with me in the beer garden, all of them had eaten or were eating. My wait for food was 40 minutes.

Visited the restaurant there. Very good dish, using almost exclusively regional products. The selection is therefore somewhat smaller and the portions are also rather small. However, you get very good quality food here.

Sehr leckere Speisen und Getränke. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön eingerichtet. Leider einen Stern Abzug, da die bestellten Essen 5 Minuten versetzt serviert wurden. Trotzdem würde ich hier sehr gern wieder essen. Da wir im Hotel nicht übernachtet haben bezieht sich die Rezession nur auf das Restaurant.

Betten leider teilweise durchgelegen. Ansonsten eine super Unterkunft mit gutem Frühstück.

Hervorragende bayerische Küche. Für jeden Anlass die richtigen Lokalitäten vorhanden. Waren bei jedem Besuch und Feier sehr zu Frieden.

Waren gestern zum Abendessen es war wieder sehr lecker und der Service hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Lokal hat ein tolles Ambiente.

Wir haben hier auf dem Rückweg vom Gardasee übernachtet und können eine fast uneingeschränkte Empfehlung aussprechen. Die Zimmer sind ansprechend und gut ausgestattet, besonders erwähnenswert ist die ausgezeichnete Küche mit einer sehr kreativen Speisekarte und einer hohen Qualität der Produkte. Man muss allerdings bedenken, dass die Zimmer nicht klimatisiert sind und es daher an einem sehr heißen Sommertag etwas stickig werden kann. Ansonsten können wir dieses Hotel sehr empfehlen und werden wieder darauf zurückkommen. Vielen Dank für die gute Bewirtung!
