The team from Postwit & Benes Burgermeisterei hosted our Christmas party with 65 people. From the hospitality to the food to the rooms for a few of the colleagues, everyone was absolutely thrilled. The hall was decorated with great attention to detail, the staff was very accommodating and always had a smile on their faces. The food was excellent, the wine chosen was very good. All in all, nothing was left to be desired. We'll definitely be happy to come back.

Very cozy rooms with lots of wood, comfortable rain shower in the bathroom. Excellent service. Family atmosphere.

By far the best hotel with a lot of services. The staff is very accommodating, very friendly, flexible and the stay was so nice and comfortable that it was very difficult to say goodbye! From now on my favorite hotel in Bavaria. Thanks to the entire team 🫶😊😍

Went here for lunch and had reserved in advance. The food and gastronomy are very good and can be recommended.

We had dinner at Postwirt during our bike tour. The waitresses were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our pizza was not only the largest we've ever had on our plate, but also the best in taste in the world. The atmosphere is super cozy and invites you to linger. Even the music was consistently our taste. We had a great evening.

I arrived today on business for two days. My room is definitely not renovated. Pretty old school everything. Not even a trash can in the room (203) The WiFi reception also leaves a lot to be desired. No information in the room about guest access or password. In my opinion not 4 stars.

We booked an overnight stay in the Bauer guest room while traveling home from Italy. In the evening we wanted to eat something in Der Postwirt because that was recommended to us. When we asked for a table we were asked if we were house guests, when we said no we were told that we wouldn't get a table. What a juice shop to be around with guests like that. The landlady was sitting at the table herself and was eating. Simply impossible.

In general, a super competent & friendly staff, except for 2 blonde ladies in their late 40s, the other in their mid 30s. So unsuitable for such a social profession, rude, rolling their eyes and absurd answers. For the smallest, nicely asked questions. I'm giving it 3 stars just out of pity for my other colleagues.

Went with the whole family some time ago and had various dishes, from pizza, burgers, roasts, fish and everyone thought it was delicious and was full.

We went on a long weekend with our dog. Rooms great and also the service and friendly staff. The breakfast was very rich and had everything from sausage/cheese, eggs, vegetables, fruit, cereal, etc. The dinner in the inn was also great

We were warmly welcomed. At our request, our little daughter was immediately given a baby bed in the room. The rooms are clean and tastefully decorated.

I've been a guest in this house for work for 3 weeks now and I have to say that it was more of a vacation for me and my colleagues and that we felt like we were at home. The breakfast buffet has something for everyone and is very rich and beautifully presented. The rooms are traditional and the beds are very comfortable. We also took the opportunity to have dinner in the evening and were very positively surprised. The food was very tasty and we can only recommend it. The staff is super friendly and they were never turned away, no matter what their wishes or concerns were. We drive home with a little smile, but also with a tear in our eye and hope, whether privately or professionally, that we will see each other again Until then, all the best to the team and the Postwirt family

This review refers solely to the restaurant; We didn't see the rooms because we stayed somewhere else. Out of ten days in Kipfenberg we ate at the Postwirt nine times because it is simply good. The pizza is outstanding (not on Mondays). The (beef) burgers are also very good. The paddies are freshly made and fried medium. The buns are homemade. Really very good! We found the service to be very professional and friendly. A table reservation is advisable. In August I recommend indoors because of wasp season. If we ever end up in Kipfenberg again, this will be our restaurant of choice.

We went to dinner. Food was OK. Fast service. But with 2 people, the staff forces you to sit at small, uncomfortable tables, even though everything around us was free, with the excuse that there are still large groups coming and that's why the two of you are not allowed to sit at the shady 6-person table, but are crammed in at the hot one. sunny 2nd table. Nobody came during our time. It's all just harassment and important machinations. Apparently this is on orders from the boss. We won't be coming back again. Keep waiting for guests who may never come. I wish you the business you want.

Very unfriendly staff were insulted, pure tourist trap.

Went there just for a stopover. If there was air conditioning, it could easily be a 3 star hotel. And the restaurant also takes care of your other physical well-being: burgers, pizza, knuckle,... and in a quality that is amazing. Negative/unusual: Rooms next to the beer garden without shutters. And a somewhat noisy hallway. But just give it a try, it's worth it Addendum: Visited there for the third time now. And the family business is slowly taking over!! We rented a few more rooms. That was a mistake because the staff wasn't enough to handle it. Staff: Are constantly trying to cope with everything. The guest should be king and should receive this with a smile and not be addressed in a mushy manner with the corners of the mouth turned down. That's not acceptable, even if it's stressful!!!! Well, maybe the hotel will read this message and maybe something will change?

Be careful when booking half board with small children, they are not entitled to dinner. We were charged subsequently and we were not informed in advance that food for small children was not included. I was very annoyed. In general the staff is not particularly friendly. You get the feeling that children are not welcome here.

It's a shame that I have to rate the Postwirt like that. We arrived at the Postwirt shortly before half past eight and wanted to eat something. Reception was short and to the point "you still have 2 minutes to order" we were traveling with our "small" dogs and wanted to sit on the edge, which unfortunately was no longer possible, however there would still have been places. So we had to take a table that wasn't adapted. When ordering we could only choose from a few dishes. Quality was OK but nothing more. It's a shame we also heard the same thing from neighbors at the campsite. What I would like to mention is to close the kitchen at half past eight in the summer when the weather is nice in such a situation... if you can afford it...m

Nice, recently renovated hotel. Some of the staff are very nice, some are quite harsh. For example, how I was reprimanded that the table I chose at breakfast was reserved for "the family." The food is good. It's not a revelation. Fairly priced. There is no hotel parking lot. That's 4 parking spaces at best. This is not a “parking lot”. The public parking lot, which is quite close, is very full, but free of charge. You have to be lucky. The hotel offers a shuttle to the third parking lot, which is a little further away. The rooms are also modern. But there is no air conditioning. It's already extremely warm under the roof. Sleeping with the window open is impossible due to the considerable and very loud traffic noise from the street directly below the window, despite the small location. The fact that the shower is basically in the room doesn't make it any better, it just makes it steamier. Because the main service of a hotel - the overnight stay - was not really relaxing, it is given a good 3 stars.

Charming hotel in a beautiful town

We ate a delicious burger there yesterday. It was very busy but we were served very well. It was a nice evening there with lots of local guests. That says a lot.

Top hotel. We had a meeting here, nice staff, very good food and a very well organized team event. You can tell it's a family business - we'd love to come back!

Great location. The staff is super friendly and very quick. The food is very good. Pizza is prepared in a wood-fired oven and tastes very tasty. Parking on site could sometimes be complicated as there are not that many parking spaces directly at the hotel. Nonetheless, a recommendation.

As always, it was a lovely week in a great hotel! I would love to come back and am already looking forward to a next trip to the Postwirt in Kipfenberg!

After a long day of hiking, I arrived in Kipfenberg totally overtired and exhausted. Maxi welcomed me at the reception. Thanks to her empathetic and extremely friendly nature, we looked for solutions together and I was offered a transfer to Beilngries, which I was happy to take advantage of the next day. The other staff were also very friendly and attentive. The kitchen was excellent and I slept well in my small but nice room. Thank you for everything!

I was in this owner-managed hotel for the umpteenth time. The room was stylishly decorated, very clean and the service was excellent. At breakfast nothing was left to be desired. I will gladly come again!

An interesting renovated hotel with an idea for interior design and a great sense of style. A clean, creative and beautiful combination of new and old style. A very good restaurant where guests are served breakfast and can eat traditional dishes from this region. We will come back in any case. A big plus is that the hotel is dog-friendly and you can take your dog with you.

We were traveling by bike and stopped by spontaneously. The food was great (pizza and burgers) were really gigantic. Any time.

Went to the post office with the whole family today. Everyone was very nice, service was great, food was excellent, it was a buffet evening today, there is something for every taste. Nothing came of it. We have to come back. It's really worth a visit. See you soon.

I stayed here several times because I have a relative in the hospital. The rooms are fairly new, well thought out and very pleasant, the food is outstanding, overall highly recommended with very good value for money.

Very nice house, with friendly, helpful owners and staff :-) and a chilled house dog. Delicious food in the restaurant and a very tasty, not so overloaded breakfast buffet that still leaves nothing to be desired and surprises with little extras. The eggs, whether boiled or scrambled, come to the table fresh. The rooms are clean and attractive as well as stylish and modernly furnished. Ideal hotel if you are on your way to or from a holiday in the Alps. 10 minutes from the A9 between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt. Located in the middle of the most beautiful nature reserve. Large selection of fantastic, homemade burgers (traditional or vegan and gluten-free) and well-prepared pizzas from a huge wood-fired pizza oven. There are also a few dishes for those who prefer good, brown food from Bavaria.

Wir hatte unseren Aufenthalt über Silvester 2023. Das Personal (Familie) ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer im bayerischen Stil sind modern und funktional eingerichtet, für 2 Personen ist im 2 Bettzimmer ausreichend Platz, die Toilette ist getrennt untergebracht, die Regen-Dusche großzügig im Bad eingebaut. Angenehm ist auch die Fußbodenheizung die man selbst einstellen kann. Wir konnten dort gemütlich ruhig und ungestört übernachten. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist großzügig aufgebaut und es ist wirklich für jeden Geschmack was dabei. Das Hotel Postwirt Können wir nur weiterempfehlen!

Weniger als ein Stern geht wohl nicht. Wieviel Sterne vergibt man für Unfreundlichkeit außerhalb der Arbeitszeit? Um 17 Uhr öffnet das Restaurant. Um 16.50 Uhr standenwir im Regen vor der Tür des beleuchteten Gebäudes, gerade damit beschäftigt, die Tür zum (vermeintlich geöffneten) Lokal zu öffnen. In diesem Moment kommt eine junge Frau von innen mit Ihrem Hund zur Tür und bedeutet uns, mit unserem Hund zur Seite zu treten. Erfreut, dass uns nun geöffnet wird, taten wir so. Mit der freundlichen Frage "Ist jetzt geöffnet?" starteten wir die Unterhaltung und wurden derart pamping angepflaumt, dass es mir die Sprache verschlagen hat. "Wir können ja nicht den ganzen Tag aufmachen, ab 17 Uhr, das muß doch reichen!" Mir verschlug es die Sprache. Der Ton war völlig daneben, diese Dame war unfreundlich, genervt und unprofessionel. Die Tatsache, dass wir als potentielle Gäste im Regen vor der Tür standen, hat sie nicht tangiert. Gastfreundlichkeit stellen wir uns jedenfalls anders vor. Ein freundliches Wort und wir hätten uns noch eine Viertel Stunde irgendwo untergestellt. So behandelt man keine Gäste. Wir werden so schnell nicht wiederkommen. Wir waren woanders zufrieden, aber an uns hat der Wirt heute Abend nichts verdient. Und er wird es auch demnächst nicht. Und im Freundes-, Bekannten- und Kollegenkreis werden wir von dieser Begegnung berichten. So schnell kann ein einstmals guter Eindruck nachhaltig zerstört werden.
