I was excited about a Thuringian meal but this was not good. Brown meat, brown sauce, red cabbage with after-taste, and the ubiquitous mashed potato balls. The beer was good, though. Service was okay. The outdoor tables/chairs were comfortable.

Duck tough, tasteless, cooked to death and unseasoned drowned in an indefinable sauce with Thuringian dumplings and red cabbage Mushroom dish with totally overcooked noodles. Sauce without taste and mush. The meat should be chicken breast medallions. A thin piece of turkey schnitzel was delivered... The above-mentioned dishes cost 23.50 euros each. The service shrugged off the complaints as the dishes went back to essential sharing. If tourists tolerate that, we can continue like this... A pity.... The place used to be better.

Very nice beer garden in the inner courtyard. Open-air cinema is right next door. Our highlight were the sidelings, which are grown in Weimar. Otherwise, the food is solid and based on good recipes. But there is room for improvement when it comes to freshness and finesse.

Wir waren mit 8 Personen hier und hatten kurzfristig reserviert. Als wir eintrafen war der Tisch im Biergarten für uns vorbereitet und die Getränkebestellung wurde zügig umgesetzt. Die Essensbestellung ebenfalls, Sonderwünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Insgesamt waren wir alle sehr zufrieden, die Rindsrouladen butterzart, Knödel mit Pilzen sehr gut abgeschmeckt das Brätl sehr schmackhaft. Lediglich das Schnitzel Wiener Art war totgebraten und daher trocken.

Thanks a lot to the Chef who fulfilled my wish to have a dish that’s not on the menu ( Giant Grilled Sausage with French Fries and Salad). That was very tasty and extremely generous portion of salad! The service was good, quick and efficient and the homemade beer was also very tasty! The price was good, too! Definitely a must visit restaurant in Erfurt!

Went to this restaurant yesterday for the public viewing. We had a really good spot outside in the beer garden with a direct view of the TV about 6 meters away. My friend ordered a beer for me. A beer please for the young man here, he said to the waitress, she replied, I don't see any young men here, which we didn't like. Then another waitress kept blocking the view of the television as she served people. Exactly in the exciting moments at the game yesterday. I asked her very politely if she would be so kind as to step out of the picture so that everyone could see, because that's why we were there. The answer was completely beneath all dignity. She could have easily served the guests from the other side. No, she says, I'll stay here now, I have to do my work, I can turn off the TV if I don't like it and she said all this repeatedly several times. Then she goes one better and takes the same thing off again 5 minutes later. Same table, she stood in the middle of the picture again and said again and again, I'll stop here now, I have to do my work, in a really provocative way. Kind regards to the operator of the Goldener Schwan restaurant, you should especially give these employees instructions on how to treat paying customers or how to talk to them. That doesn't work at all. I always thought that the customer was king, but in this restaurant the two waitresses certainly didn't understand it. The stairs in the courtyard represent a high risk of accidents for me, which a woman had to experience painfully when she hit her face bloody when she fell on the stairs. Well, whatever, the evening wasn't as nice as expected, especially in the Goldener Schwan restaurant. Our team won and is through. I also had negative experiences and have moved on; it was definitely the last visit for me to this restaurant. Sorry

Service was very friendly. You can sit comfortably inside and outside. Food was very good and didn't take long. We really liked it and can recommend it.

Old inn with wonderfully preserved woodwork. The cuisine is good, home-style and recommended. In summer there is a large but very cozy beer garden in the courtyard, in the middle of the city but still quiet. You can also visit a small museum. Everything was very lovingly preserved. The service left nothing to be desired was quick and very attentive and friendly.

Wir waren zum Abendessen mit einer großen Gruppe (ca. 20 Personen) im Goldenen Schwan. Die Tischreservierung hat auch kurzfristig einen Tag zuvor unkompliziert geklappt. Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Sehr leckeres Essen. Angenehme Atmosphäre. Ich komme gerne wieder hier her, wenn ich wieder einmal in Erfurt bin.

For me, Erfurt is one of the most beautiful cities. It is an absolute feel-good city! A great and beautiful shop is lined up one after the other. Everyone will find something for themselves. Restaurants and cafés beautify the face of this beautiful city center! You have to visit the cathedral and the Severikirche! An absolute highlight of this city is the park zoo! Flower arrangements and occasional benches invite you to linger and watch the animals. You will have a very nice day at the zoo! Food and drink are also provided! A large playground provides variety for the children. Erfurt is definitely worth a trip!

Quaint inn, a strenuous service program for the number of guests on several levels, but still a smile for every guest request, wonderful. The food was rich, quick and tasty. Not a Michelin-starred kitchen, but it's a pub that gives special attention to spiced meat. 🖖🏼🤓

Ich wurde von einem Freund anläßlich seines 85. Geburtstages spontan zum Mittag eingeladen. Rinderbäckcken, Wirsing und Kroketten wählten wir. Die Rinderbäckchen waren fest, zäh, überbraten! Der Wirsing durchgekocht und aufgewärmt. Die Kroketten - 5 kleine Stück - aus der Tüte. Das Ganze für über € 20,00. Mein Bekannter hat das Fleisch ( drei kleine, schmale Stückchen) nicht essen können. D.h. für etwas Wirsing und 5 Kroketten € 20,00 - das ist schon sportlich! Nie wieder!

Das Reservierungsprozedere verlief online problemlos. Wir hatten sehr gute Plätze im gemütlichen Wintergarten, schönes Ambiente. Die Bedienung war schnell, nett und zuvorkommend. Leider hat die Küche stark nachgelassen, das Angebot auf der Karte klingt noch so wie vor ein paar Jahren, aber selbst gekocht ist anders, "apetito" lässt grüßen. Schade, vielleicht besinnt man sich mal wieder auf seine Wurzeln.

The service was very quick and even though the restaurant was full, the waitress always had a smile. We can only recommend the food! Very good, freshly prepared home cooking. We had a very pleasant stay and would love to come back! Thank you!

Attractive location and good traditional cuisine We held a family celebration there in the fireplace room. We were extremely satisfied with everything. The service with Annett and her colleagues was great. Such attentiveness coupled with calm and professionalism despite all the hustle and bustle. Just high praise. We would like to drive another 150 km for the next celebration there.

My chicken breast was good, but unfortunately the pasta side dish wasn't, the pasta was cold My son-in-law had a Cordonbleu that was 99% industrial in origin

I've been coming to the Goldener Schwan every time I've been to Erfurt for about 15 years now and have never been disappointed. The food is still real “home cooking” and not ready-made food from the wholesale market. Highly recommended are the game dishes with delicious red cabbage and Thuringian dumplings like the roast game in the photo from today (there was wild boar). Plus a tasty beer from the home brewery. Depending on the season, there are, for example, winter beer, Märzenbier, Maibock, summer beer, etc. Always a pleasure when I'm in Erfurt for work. Or private like today. My wife was also very excited. The atmosphere is also very cozy, whether downstairs in the main dining room with the beautiful copper brewing kettles or in the upper dining room.

Since we were at a trade fair, we looked for something to eat and drink in the evenings for two days. Which is why we went there twice. The first time we both had the roulade and it was good. When we ordered the bill we only received a second beer (which was really very good) On the second day we had the goose leg, a "cordon bleu" and the Thuringian bratwurst. The cordon bleu has a very flat taste and is filled with quite a bit of ham. In addition, the breading was more soaked than crispy. Empty glasses were ignored several times, which meant we only had one drink. The food was ok overall

It was quite ok. We actually wanted to go to the fireball, but they were closed, so we came here. The service was friendly and quick. It was clean but there was a bit of a draft in the room from the room next door as it was quite cool. The food was ok, unfortunately my pork medallion in port wine sauce wasn't my cup of tea, I liked the game ragout with dumplings better.

Restaurant mit deutschem Essen in der Erfurter Innenstadt. Servicepersonal war freundlich und nett. Das Essen war ok, aber vom Geschmack her nichts besonderes. Parkplätze sind direkt davor nicht zu finden, aber in der Umgebung gegen Gebühr.

Waren am Sonntag hier, Preis /Leistung stimmt nicht. Thüringer Rostbrätl war hart , Bratkartoffeln waren keine (einfach Kartoffeln geviertelt und mal kurz in der Pfanne geschwenkt und auch hart. Kritik hat das Personal nicht interessiert . Was müssen Touristen von der Thüringer Küche wohl halten ?? Enttäuschung pur .

Sehr sehr schönes Gasthaus freundlich Bedinung Essen auch lecker. Preise auch Total in Ordnung. Gern immer wieder.

Ein Restaurant im Herzen der Altstadt, welches mich bei meinem Erstbesuch nicht begeistern konnte. Im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants muss ich resümieren, dass ich hier wahrscheinlich nicht noch einmal hingehen werde.
