The restaurant seems very run down and the food was a lot better

After a concert and on the recommendation of my son, who lives in Erfurt, we had a delicious breakfast!

Actually a nice restaurant... but the burger came quite quickly, with the result that the meat in the middle was still raw. For beef patties, maybe. not so advantageous...

Yesterday I was with someone in the overseas restaurant, had a Spyci and chicken burger, the hamburger meat in the Spyciburger was not a highlight, quite firm and dry, the chicken burger was better and completely okay. The staff wasn't particularly careful and would have provided a second drink, but no service staff came by for a long time, so it was only average.

A lovely evening, everything was really tasty. The wait for the food was a bit long, but luckily for everyone it tasted very good. Rhubarb-ginger drink also very tasty. So go there 👍👍👍

Went there for coffee on a recommendation. Not again. The waitress spoke almost no German and didn't understand our order. I consider that to be a minimum requirement.

A wonderful place to relax directly on Gera. Very friendly staff

As with many restaurants, the weather has a huge impact on the ambience. But Erfurt's city center next to the Krämerbrücke is simply something very special. We had breakfast here for my birthday and it was great. The scrambled eggs with bacon were on point and the drinks were big and tasty. The composition of the breakfast was rich and sensible. The view of the slowly flowing Gera in the sunshine directly from the window is more than just worth a visit. The staff was super friendly and took good care of us. The only thing you need to know about accessibility is that basically all parking options are a few hundred meters away. Anger 1, Domplatz or behind the town hall (if something is free here) would be the recommendations. Approx. 5 to 8 minutes walk away. We were thrilled with the ambience, staff and food and drinks. We'll definitely be back. We had our first date here and it hasn't gotten any worse in almost 17 years. Always a recommendation!

It was another visit to a restaurant that you won't forget. The ambience is great, just a bit worn out. But food tasty and rich. I had the spare ribs and they tasted wonderful. Otherwise toilets a bit small but clean.

The food overseas tastes first-class and you get a large selection of dishes. It is very attractively presented and the service is optimal. The portions could be a little larger.

We had a huge, wonderful breakfast for two, which was almost impossible to manage, including orange juice, coffee and Prosecco, and all of that on the great terrace right next to the Gera river as it flows quietly past, including ducks and dancing autumn leaves. The staff was also very nice and humorous. Luckily we decided to do this! :-)

After I was already very disappointed with the food and service in February, we tried again because just two years ago the Übersee was an excellent address. Unfortunately we were disappointed again today and this time it was even harder. The service was subpar. You had to ask about the possibility of ordering food yourself, the drinks you ordered didn't come and to top it all off, only 3 out of 4 meals came. Only after another 20 minutes was I offered an alternative, by now the rest of the table had finished eating. But the three burgers we ordered were also just mediocre for “burger day”. The burger patties were not homemade, but frozen. The price is really outrageous. The price-performance ratio is not right here. It's a shame, but today was probably our last visit!

I haven't been overseas for a long time, but from my current visit it seems to me that there is a new, motivated team at work here. The seating in the bar area without backrests is of course not designed to be used for several hours.

Bar for drinking. We used to call it the cowhide bar, but after a renovation it now unfortunately has no cowhide and is a bit cold. Very strong Long Island iced teas, the second one is deadly ;)

You can't complain about the food, the staff is friendly too. But I'll never sit downstairs again. The cleanliness has deteriorated so much over the last few years. The cleanliness of the toilets is terrible. It's cleaner in Erfurt pubs! The smell kitchen in the basement is also very pleasant. How can you expect your customers to eat right next to the shithouse and these beastly smells or even have the audacity to offer customers seats there? This entire area around the cigarette machine is really disgusting. But maybe the employees should have lunch there themselves. Apparently no one notices.

Nice, cozy and delicious. We were here on Saturday and it was pretty busy. Nevertheless, we were served friendly and quickly and had a delicious breakfast for two.

Delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere with dishes and space for the whole family. With a great view of the river and a team that can handle a full house, it's fast and friendly. Thank you for that! Attention: Be sure to reserve seats for dinner as it is rightly very popular.

Spontaneous visit overseas and probably just in time to get a place without a reservation. Even though it was the middle of the week, it was quite busy. The food, in my case the Chicken Hawaii Burger, and the drinks were delivered quickly and gave no cause for complaint. We recommend the “healthy lemonades” with ginger, very refreshing. Unfortunately, the staff's attention waned somewhat, so replenishment in liquid form took a while. Nevertheless, we'll be going back soon, there was still a lot of interesting things on the menu.

I was overseas with two nice colleagues. We were lucky and were able to enjoy the last warm minutes on the terrace above the Gera and had a wonderful view of the Krämerbrücke. Service was quick and friendly, but could have stopped by a little more often. The food was very good, although the portions felt a bit small. All in all, a great restaurant with a very good selection of delicious food. Definitely worth a visit 😀

Plentiful, delicious food. Good selection and prices in the upper midfield. The service was great, otherwise self-service. Since you can't get into the restaurant with a wheelchair, the staff comes out and is very friendly and helpful. Only the choice of space for wheelchairs is very limited, as the sidewalk is completely blocked with tables and chairs, especially from the neighboring restaurant, where the lowered curb is located. You can also get up on the other side, but you can only use 1 table with a wheelchair.

We were there for breakfast today. It was really tasty and enjoying it on the calmly flowing Gera was a dream. We would love to come back.

Small restaurant in the immediate vicinity of the Wenigemarkt. When the weather is nice you can sit on a terrace directly above the Gera River. Service is quick. Food very tasty. There is e.g. B. Giant Urger with fries.

The four of us had breakfast overseas today. We had a very nice seat by the panoramic window. Service was very good (especially Andreas) and, even though there were many guests there, we didn't wait long for our breakfast. The food and drinks were delicious, the breakfast plates were beautifully presented. Clear recommendation for a cozy Sunday breakfast.

The location is very nice. The food was mediocre: the menu listed a fresh Norwegian wild salmon. The salmon was not wild though but judging the fat, it was clearly a farmed salmon. One should not advertise wild salmon if it is not wild at all, that’s a cheat. The terrace at the river side was nice but unfortunately chain smokers destroyed our pleasure of sitting there.

Went there for drinks and breakfast the next day. Everything is very good. Eggs Benedict could have been a little more. Parisian breakfast was good, but I still needed bread. The initial service was quick, repeat orders were a little difficult.

We wanted to celebrate our monthly anniversary here, but unfortunately we were sent to a tiny table full of wasps, which also wobbled incredibly. I'm an allergy sufferer, so not so practical. When we asked for another table we were told that they were for large groups, even though nothing was reserved and there were some free tables on the terrace. Then we left again, the waiter said: It's not bad that you're leaving again. Very bad service. Absolutely disappointing.

You can sit directly over the river. Very relaxing. All the waiters were helpful and very nice.

Coffee round, older people and a bit of chaos, but in the end everyone was taken care of.

It's a shame to sell such disgusting, hard and less than good tasting burger meat. The nice waitress did suggest a coffee as compensation, but that doesn't get rid of the fact of an absolutely unpleasant experience and wasted money. The kitchen staff did not comment on this.

Unfortunately there are a lot of stairs here. Difficult for people with walking difficulties. We sat on the terrace. A bit tight.

Absolute bankruptcy. The service was almost negative. If we had served ourselves, we would have been better off. My salad was anything but fresh, it had black spots and the melon was beyond mushy. The service employee's reaction was literally "You can't always throw everything away and I shouldn't act like that". I see it the same way, but it wasn't a dark, small spot but actual mold. Not only did the kitchen sleep there, but the service staff was also cheeky. But she wanted to pass it on. But no one knew about it when paying upstairs. Terrible shop, absolutely rude service who can apparently get away with anything. Never again!

The food and service were absolutely amazing on the trip overseas. You can't even call the service that, given the waiting times until you're finally noticed. Drinks take forever, food is brought to the table incorrectly and if there are complaints, the service is extremely rude and discusses it with the guest in front of other guests, even though he made the mistake. The food isn't worth the hassle either. Absolute tourist trap!

Unfortunately our last visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. We were a group of four and had reserved a table. Although we were seated quickly, it took a full 15 minutes for the menus to be brought to us. When the cards finally arrived, the waitress rushed us to place our order, which hardly gave us any time to look at the selection. Another problem was communicating with the waitress, who hardly seemed to understand us. This ultimately led to orders all arriving differently: the first meal came quickly, but we had to wait another ten minutes for two more dishes and the fourth meal didn't come at all. When we asked, we were told that the kitchen was checking, but when the food finally arrived, it was the wrong one. The wait continued when we finally wanted the bill - here too it took a very long time. We understand that it can be stressful when the restaurant is full, but a certain level of service should still be guaranteed. It was disappointing that the waitress appeared to be stressed and other guests noticed this too. Another couple also waited 15 minutes for menus which is simply not acceptable. I work in the catering industry myself and understand the challenges that this job brings with it. Nevertheless, I expect that you take time for guests and do the work properly. If you can't handle the stress and demands of the restaurant industry, you should either work on developing these skills or perhaps consider whether this career is really the right one for you. I have always been enthusiastic about this restaurant, but unfortunately this visit left me very disappointed.

After a long time, I chose overseas as my destination again and was unfortunately very disappointed. I ordered a classic hamburger and the taste was a disaster. The bun was slightly burnt (black) and the patty was tough like rubber (some shrink-wrapped patty from a no-name company) that's how it tasted. Based on the shape, I can safely say it wasn't homemade. The waitress was very nice, but unfortunately she wasn't present enough at our table due to the many guests and the few staff. The atmosphere on the terrace was nice as always.

Question for the overseas team: Why was my review about the poor service deleted? If the kitchen's performance is top-notch, then you have to stand by the criticism of the service, right?

Anyone who likes event catering will find what they are looking for here. It starts with drinks that are a long time coming because they were forgotten. The bridge to the main part is side dishes that the already annoyed and disinterested service leaves out in the rain (it was raining) while he brings them and then finally the drinks to the guest. The climax of the event is incorrectly delivered main courses, accompanied by a subplot called "tables completely messed up". In the final part of the story, unreasonable staff, who complain openly and loudly in front of the guest about the shift manager and the other staff, are used to create a voltage drop in order to end the show as badly as possible. As an encore, there is a long wait for the bill until you are told by the apparently lazy service that you should just come to the exit and pay there. Anyone who is interested in the drama “Below-average food cheekily delivered” will find it here. The location does absolutely nothing here.

Nice location on the river. Not too big main courses. Nice staff. Only the gentleman at the top of the bar still needs to work on his hospitality.

What seemed chic and beautifully located by the water unfortunately turned out to be an unpleasant experience. But first things first. After arriving we were allowed to sit down on the terrace by the water. Due to the chance of rain, my companion and I knew that it would be a short evening anyway. We ordered quickly. Radler, homemade lemonade, sheep's cheese salad and oriental tomato carrot soup followed by Thuringian grilled sausage with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and side salad as well as a fiery chilli cheeseburger. The "homemade" lemonade was quite thin, but probably because the taste was just passion fruit juice with sparkling water, lots of ice and a few lemon slices and mint leaves. You can do it that way, but it works better. The tomato and carrot soup in the 150-200ml size tasted exactly like these two ingredients, but unfortunately no oriental spice could be seen or sensed. The parsley is said to come from Asia, perhaps that was the oriental touch. The sheep's cheese salad tasted good, but the simple or young and sour balsamic that was drizzled on top could have been left out, it was too unbalanced. The accompanying baguette was sticky, not even a little toasted or toasted. The burger was tasty and chilli-spicy as expected. The door. Rostbratwurst was a pan sausage, but still tasted well made by the butcher. I particularly liked the sauerkraut, enriched with carrots and bacon and plenty of caraway seeds. The crux of the matter was hidden in the side salad. Since the curled endive leaf was too big for a fork filling, I cut it up. Unfortunately, in doing so, I disturbed the peace of the snail that lived inside or what was left of it after cutting. The waitress who was called over was visibly upset and shocked and apologized, saying that everything was going wrong on her shift today. We were able to see this for ourselves while we were waiting. Fries that are left out in the rain before they reach the guest, the first round of drinks that reach the guests after the dishes, missing dishes, incorrect table bookings... things that you notice as a waiting guest. Since we finally asked for the bill when the shared snail had retreated to the kitchen, it took a long time to arrive. We flagged down another colleague who asked us to pay at the bar. Once there, the stress behind the bar suggested a tense evening at work. I took a look at the bill, everything was billed correctly, no discount or accommodation. Since the EC device was in the guest room, I paid in cash and even rounded it up. When asked about the snail in the salad, there were wide, disbelieving eyes. So my complaint didn't even reach the head waiter. No regrets were expressed, I unfortunately thanked them in my somewhat snippy tone, which I actually felt sorry for afterwards. Still hungry and in a slightly bad mood, we stepped out into the rain.

Sit on the terrace by the water, eat and drink well. What more do you want? Always beautiful.

Overseas broilers: No service at all at the tables outside. Only unopened mini bottles of wine for 4.90 to bring yourself. Things are better in the overseas main restaurant.

The food was delicious and the reservation was quick. Unfortunately, the waitress "dropped" the tray (which can happen and isn't bad - so don't worry, it can happen to anyone) - however, after the soda was spilled and everything dripped onto our clothes and bag, we got one An apology was offered (espresso,…), but it never came. The waiter who promised us this literally ignored us and we went home with dirty/sticky/wet clothes! It's a shame because we were looking forward to the food and restaurant! ;( Please don't blame yourself, dear waitress, but the rest of the service was not okay.

Well... fish and chips consisted of a bad fried fish and normal fries with tartar sauce. So you can find something better there.

We spontaneously had breakfast with four people in Übersee on Sunday and even managed to get a place on the terrace when the weather was great. The breakfast offering, the quality of the food and the price-performance ratio were great, but the service was overwhelmed and clumsy. You had to request menus. Our drinks only came when we had already finished some of our breakfast because otherwise it would have gotten cold. When we asked for a spoon with the egg, they just said the cutlery had just arrived. A little more service training and organization could help…
