The four of us had breakfast overseas today. We had a very nice seat by the panoramic window. Service was very good (especially Andreas) and, even though there were many guests there, we didn't wait long for our breakfast. The food and drinks were delicious, the breakfast plates were beautifully presented. Clear recommendation for a cozy Sunday breakfast.

There is no zero star therefore 1 👎 Service is just a disaster, you still need to learn how to deal with customers. Hands off

Went there for drinks and breakfast the next day. Everything is very good. Eggs Benedict could have been a little more. Parisian breakfast was good, but I still needed bread. The initial service was quick, repeat orders were a little difficult.

We enjoyed having a drink here, even though it was raining. You can also sit by the river.

Actually a cute shop, with very good spare ribs and cocktails. We wanted to celebrate our monthly anniversary here, but unfortunately we were sent to a tiny table full of wasps, which also wobbled incredibly. I'm an allergy sufferer, so not so practical. When we asked for another table we were told that they were for large groups, even though nothing was reserved and there were some free tables on the terrace. Then we left again, the waiter said: It's not bad that you're leaving again. Very bad service. Absolutely disappointing.

You can sit directly over the river. Very relaxing. All the waiters were helpful and very nice.

It's a shame to sell such disgusting, hard and less than good tasting burger meat. The nice waitress did suggest a coffee as compensation, but that doesn't get rid of the fact of an absolutely unpleasant experience and wasted money. The kitchen staff did not comment on this.

Unfortunately there are a lot of stairs here. Difficult for people with walking difficulties. We sat on the terrace. A bit tight.

Absolute bankruptcy. The service was almost negative. If we had served ourselves, we would have been better off. My salad was anything but fresh, it had black spots and the melon was beyond mushy. The service employee's reaction was literally "You can't always throw everything away and I shouldn't act like that". I see it the same way, but it wasn't a dark, small spot but actual mold. Not only did the kitchen sleep there, but the service staff was also cheeky. But she wanted to pass it on. But no one knew about it when paying upstairs. Terrible shop, absolutely rude service who can apparently get away with anything. Never again!

The food and service were absolutely amazing on the trip overseas. You can't even call the service that, given the waiting times until you're finally noticed. Drinks take forever, food is brought to the table incorrectly and if there are complaints, the service is extremely rude and discusses it with the guest in front of other guests, even though he made the mistake. The food isn't worth the hassle either. Absolute tourist trap!

We'd love to come back. Price performance is right and the staff is very good. We would only have liked more choice when it came to dessert.

Unfortunately our last visit to this restaurant was very disappointing. We were a group of four and had reserved a table. Although we were seated quickly, it took a full 15 minutes for the menus to be brought to us. When the cards finally arrived, the waitress rushed us to place our order, which hardly gave us any time to look at the selection. Another problem was communicating with the waitress, who hardly seemed to understand us. This ultimately led to orders all arriving differently: the first meal came quickly, but we had to wait another ten minutes for two more dishes and the fourth meal didn't come at all. When we asked, we were told that the kitchen was checking, but when the food finally arrived, it was the wrong one. The wait continued when we finally wanted the bill - here too it took a very long time. We understand that it can be stressful when the restaurant is full, but a certain level of service should still be guaranteed. It was disappointing that the waitress appeared to be stressed and other guests noticed this too. Another couple also waited 15 minutes for menus which is simply not acceptable. I work in the catering industry myself and understand the challenges that this job brings with it. Nevertheless, I expect that you take time for guests and do the work properly. If you can't handle the stress and demands of the restaurant industry, you should either work on developing these skills or perhaps consider whether this career is really the right one for you. I have always been enthusiastic about this restaurant, but unfortunately this visit left me very disappointed.

After a long time, I chose overseas as my destination again and was unfortunately very disappointed. I ordered a classic hamburger and the taste was a disaster. The bun was slightly burnt (black) and the patty was tough like rubber (some shrink-wrapped patty from a no-name company) that's how it tasted. Based on the shape, I can safely say it wasn't homemade. The waitress was very nice, but unfortunately she wasn't present enough at our table due to the many guests and the few staff. The atmosphere on the terrace was nice as always.

Question for the overseas team: Why was my review about the poor service deleted? If the kitchen's performance is top-notch, then you have to stand by the criticism of the service, right?

Well, you can go there to eat, but it's not a must and not a recommendation. The ribs were apparently cooked instead of grilled, we had to look for the chicken in the curry and we almost had to order drinks at the counter - where unfortunately there were loud complaints about the guests. Once there, not again

Anyone who likes event catering will find what they are looking for here. It starts with drinks that are a long time coming because they were forgotten. The bridge to the main part is side dishes that the already annoyed and disinterested service leaves out in the rain (it was raining) while he brings them and then finally the drinks to the guest. The climax of the event is incorrectly delivered main courses, accompanied by a subplot called "tables completely messed up". In the final part of the story, unreasonable staff, who complain openly and loudly in front of the guest about the shift manager and the other staff, are used to create a voltage drop in order to end the show as badly as possible. As an encore, there is a long wait for the bill until you are told by the apparently lazy service that you should just come to the exit and pay there. Anyone who is interested in the drama “Below-average food cheekily delivered” will find it here. The location does absolutely nothing here.

Nice location on the river. Not too big main courses. Nice staff. Only the gentleman at the top of the bar still needs to work on his hospitality.

What seemed chic and beautifully located by the water unfortunately turned out to be an unpleasant experience. But first things first. After arriving we were allowed to sit down on the terrace by the water. Due to the chance of rain, my companion and I knew that it would be a short evening anyway. We ordered quickly. Radler, homemade lemonade, sheep's cheese salad and oriental tomato carrot soup followed by Thuringian grilled sausage with mashed potatoes, sauerkraut and side salad as well as a fiery chilli cheeseburger. The "homemade" lemonade was quite thin, but probably because the taste was just passion fruit juice with sparkling water, lots of ice and a few lemon slices and mint leaves. You can do it that way, but it works better. The tomato and carrot soup in the 150-200ml size tasted exactly like these two ingredients, but unfortunately no oriental spice could be seen or sensed. The parsley is said to come from Asia, perhaps that was the oriental touch. The sheep's cheese salad tasted good, but the simple or young and sour balsamic that was drizzled on top could have been left out, it was too unbalanced. The accompanying baguette was sticky, not even a little toasted or toasted. The burger was tasty and chilli-spicy as expected. The door. Rostbratwurst was a pan sausage, but still tasted well made by the butcher. I particularly liked the sauerkraut, enriched with carrots and bacon and plenty of caraway seeds. The crux of the matter was hidden in the side salad. Since the curled endive leaf was too big for a fork filling, I cut it up. Unfortunately, in doing so, I disturbed the peace of the snail that lived inside or what was left of it after cutting. The waitress who was called over was visibly upset and shocked and apologized, saying that everything was going wrong on her shift today. We were able to see this for ourselves while we were waiting. Fries that are left out in the rain before they reach the guest, the first round of drinks that reach the guests after the dishes, missing dishes, incorrect table bookings... things that you notice as a waiting guest. Since we finally asked for the bill when the shared snail had retreated to the kitchen, it took a long time to arrive. We flagged down another colleague who asked us to pay at the bar. Once there, the stress behind the bar suggested a tense evening at work. I took a look at the bill, everything was billed correctly, no discount or accommodation. Since the EC device was in the guest room, I paid in cash and even rounded it up. When asked about the snail in the salad, there were wide, disbelieving eyes. So my complaint didn't even reach the head waiter. No regrets were expressed, I unfortunately thanked them in my somewhat snippy tone, which I actually felt sorry for afterwards. Still hungry and in a slightly bad mood, we stepped out into the rain.

A nice shop with a nice terrace. The staff is very friendly and the prices are perfectly reasonable. Dogs are welcome.

Beautiful. Cozy atmosphere inside. It's a pleasure to sit on the terrace directly above the Gera. We had a lot of fun with the service lady. Super nice with a lot of humor. What more could you want, because laughing is healthy.

Overseas broilers: No service at all at the tables outside. Only unopened mini bottles of wine for 4.90 to bring yourself. Things are better in the overseas main restaurant.

Wonderful peace and quiet on the wooden terrace over the water, friendly staff, appealing drinks and food, realistic prices and a great ambience. An absolute must!

The food was delicious and the reservation was quick. Unfortunately, the waitress "dropped" the tray (which can happen and isn't bad - so don't worry, it can happen to anyone) - however, after the soda was spilled and everything dripped onto our clothes and bag, we got one An apology was offered (espresso,…), but it never came. The waiter who promised us this literally ignored us and we went home with dirty/sticky/wet clothes! It's a shame because we were looking forward to the food and restaurant! ;( Please don't blame yourself, dear waitress, but the rest of the service was not okay.

Well... fish and chips consisted of a bad fried fish and normal fries with tartar sauce. So you can find something better there.

We spontaneously had breakfast with four people in Übersee on Sunday and even managed to get a place on the terrace when the weather was great. The breakfast offering, the quality of the food and the price-performance ratio were great, but the service was overwhelmed and clumsy. You had to request menus. Our drinks only came when we had already finished some of our breakfast because otherwise it would have gotten cold. When we asked for a spoon with the egg, they just said the cutlery had just arrived. A little more service training and organization could help…

We were served very quickly with 13 people. We were completely satisfied with our breakfasts and despite the many orders, there were no errors. Good work. Thanks.

Friendly service, prices could be a little lower

We have often been here for breakfast. Unfortunately, the quantity and quality have decreased significantly. Ordered breakfast for 2 people for 29.90 euros. Ham, salami and salmon. Underneath the ham were 2 slices of cheap meatloaf. Why? The salmon was on top of the fruit. Everything used to be very lovingly prepared. Today, from our point of view, it was done very carelessly. A pity. The service was friendly and quick.

Today (05/19/24) my wife and I stopped here for a snack (bruschetta) and a Baileys Macchiato. We sat very nicely on the terrace and enjoyed everything. The service was friendly and quick.

The food was 0-8-15, tables and cards dirty, plastic and worn. The only good thing is the location.

You can see the terrace of the restaurant from the bridge and think: We're having dinner there today. When you take a seat, you notice that the tables and chairs are very cramped and it is quite difficult to sit down. The food was mixed, to say the least. The Rostbrätel was good. The meat paddy on the cheeseburger was very hard, I've never had anything like that before. The ribs were pretty strange. The presentation on the plate looked as if the ribs had been caught among a galloping herd of horses. But maybe it should be relaxed like that? Or had something else happened before? The ribs tasted like pork, but you could only taste some honey from the honey whiskey sauce if you scraped some of the thin film of sauce on the plate from under the ribs and spread it on the ribs. The service was ok and relatively attentive.

We were there at lunchtime today and it wasn't very crowded. we still had to wait 20 minutes for drinks. The food took 1.5 hours to arrive. The Caesar salad was none, the chicken breast in one piece. The spareribs were dry. It all seemed a bit loveless. The terrace is nice, but it doesn't hide the rest. This is definitely better, which is what I would wish for you!

Nice ambience...but the food is subpar. If you want to eat well, you will find many nice and better alternatives in the area.

Certainly a highlight of our Erfurt tour with 8 people. We found the Übersee restaurant more or less by chance. At the back of the Krämerbrücke directly on the water with good food and drinks. Everything fitted

The food was good... nothing special. The staff tried hard but were a bit overwhelmed. The cocktails were also okay, but you have to be patient before you get it. Unfortunately I have to give zero stars for the cleanliness of the toilets...

Two vouchers had to be “processed”. Dinner was good so far, I can't say much negative things. A few weeks later we went for breakfast... let's put it this way, I was happy that the ONLY toilet was free. Drinks were nothing, even the tea was nothing. It was an attempt, it didn't work. Nevertheless, respect that the store has been around for a long time. Therefore 3 stars.

Habe heute (15.04.2024) den SCHLECHTESTEN BURGER meines Lebens vorgesetzt bekommen - hartes trockenes Rindfleisch, hartes extrem trockenes Burgerbrötchen, laukalte Pommes. Das beste war der Milchkaffee. NIE WIEDER ins Übersee in Erfurt.

The service was very friendly. The food was average - freshly cooked, but nothing exciting. The view from the terrace was very nice.

Unfortunately my overseas visit wasn't as positive as expected from the other reviews. We had a drafty and cold place by the window, the cigarette smoke from the terrace wafted in. The service was sometimes very good, sometimes rather unfriendly and inattentive. The cocktails were absolutely watery and far too expensive, the food was okay, but didn't meet my expectations for the price.

We have often been guests overseas, but we have never been so disappointed. The service and ambience were great, but it was the worst burger I've ever eaten: frozen meat, swimming in sauce and just almost inedible. It's a shame that we had to have that experience there :( we're not used to that overseas.

My burger meat was fried to death, that shouldn't be the case. That's why it didn't taste quite as good. We continued to sit on dry land for a long time. The young waitress with the red hair was very busy with other guests and unfortunately didn't ask after the food was served or in between whether everything was ok and who else would like to drink something.

We can do it, and stay healthy....always keep drumming along, bankruptcy would be just right now!

Mediocre food for an unreasonable price. Every bakery offers a better breakfast. Seats next to the restroom experience the typical bad smells and sounds. Not recommended.

If the service develops a little more feeling for the customer, then it is a recommended restaurant. The perfect environment with a view of the Gera and the outdoor terrace makes up for the long waiting times. Service training can do a lot right. The food is really very good and you have to get used to the increased prices everywhere. We would be happy to come back.

The food was good but the service quite mediocre. One of the waiters was too invasive and joking, and they were not attentive to when we needed to return. There are free videos on YouTube on the basics of being an average waiter...

It was another visit to a restaurant that you won't forget. The ambience is great, just a bit worn out. But food tasty and rich. I had the spare ribs and they tasted wonderful. Otherwise toilets a bit small but clean.

Depending on what you eat, food is sometimes good and sometimes not. I've already had a burger with fries, the burger was ok, the fries were soggy. Chickpea curry was great, but adding a little more rice wouldn't have hurt anyone here either. Fish and chips, same thing with the fries. If you get a seat outside it is of course nice to sit on the river. However, it is so tightly packed that you have absolutely no privacy. We also had to sit at a table that was “in the stairwell”. Dark, cold, and near the smoking room. But the main thing is to fill every square meter with tables.

Die Lage von dem Restaurant ist echt super und wenn man draußen sitzt hat man einen sehr schönen Blick auf die Gera. Das Essen hat schon geschmeckt jedoch ist es nichts besonderes oder übermäßig leckeres. Dazu kommt noch das ich sehr lange auf mein Essen warten musste, da vergessen wurde meine Bestellung an die Küche zu geben. Fehler können natürlich passieren jedoch ist das selbe schonmal passiert als ich das letzte Mal da war.

Wir waren zum Frühstück dort. Sehr reichhaltige und abwechslungs Verhältnis. Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen.
