My girlfriend and I exclusively eat schnitzel at this restaurant. We eat at the Goldener Löwen at least once a month. It's always consistently good. The service, the staff, and the food are amazing. The service is also fast, attentive, and courteous. We'll keep coming back!

After the change of ownership, we were very curious and reserved a table for four people plus two children on a Sunday evening. The menu is essentially the same as always. There was a platter for two people each, and the children were allowed to eat with us. Since a change request was forgotten, we immediately added meat rolls for everyone. An extra portion of fries and two scoops of ice cream for the kids didn't even appear on the bill. Overall, the service was super friendly and welcoming. We spent less than €25 per person on drinks and went home full and satisfied. We'll definitely be back. Years ago, we visited the previous owners for Christmas dinner with about 20 people, and we would do that again. There is parking in the courtyard, or you can take a few minutes' walk through town. Although you're sitting right on a main road, you can't hear anything inside. On the contrary, you sit relaxed in a cozy restaurant and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle.

Even as a child, my parents took me to "Luca's." Since then, the food has been consistently good and tastes new every time. Even though the owner has changed, there's no noticeable difference. Keep it up!

Whether it's a grilled platter, a schnitzel, or a large platter to share, the food is consistently delicious and definitely filling. You can tell the cooking here is done with experience and quality. The staff is friendly and welcoming, just as you'd expect from a well-run, local Yugoslavian restaurant. The interior is a bit too dark for my taste, but pleasant nonetheless. Overall, a really good place to eat, highly recommended even for larger groups.

We ate there twice. Both times we ate outside. The ambiance is due to the main street, but it's cozy and relatively quiet. We all enjoyed the food. We chose various schnitzels and liver with salad. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. The service was always friendly, attentive, and quick. We'd be happy to come back.

What's the best way to start? We really enjoyed eating at the Golden Lion before the change of tenant, because it was always a solid choice when it came to food, it was always super tasty and we were never disappointed. Now we've been there for the first time since the change and I'm really disappointed. Ok, it was Mother's Day and so it was clear that it could take longer, that's not a problem for us. What I find sad is that the quality has unfortunately deteriorated a lot, the food was unfortunately very tasteless and greasy and unfortunately there were no spices, it's a shame, the liver used to be a poem, the best in the area, that has also changed, quantity probably now takes precedence over quality. Due to an "accident", my food came much later than the others, which I prefer to something that doesn't taste good. Then my second drink was advertised as free, unfortunately no one knew that when I paid. My conclusion is that we won't be coming back and will look for another Croatian restaurant, it's a shame.

So that I don't starve, there were two salads.🥰 Since we are always traveling with people in wheelchairs, I give as many stars as possible and 10 on top. A grandma has fallen in love with a plant and the boss says take it with him. In this day and age that is not a given. The food was delicious but the most important thing for me is dealing with people who can no longer do it alone. A clear recommendation.

I had the menu 16. Cevapcici, six minced meat rolls from the grill, with Djuvec rice, French fries and salad, that was very tasty and the Cevapcici were perfectly prepared and tasted like a poem. I expected much more from Croatian food. I had a grill plate for 20 EUR. The Cevapcici were bland, as was the Pliskawica and you couldn't find any sheep's cheese inside, only white juice came out. The highlight of the plate was the pork loin steak. With a maximum thickness of 5mm, it was dry and fried to death. Didn't deserve the name steak. If you cut a steak about 1.5 cm thick from a pork loin, it costs around 1 EUR. There was about 20% of the steak on the plate, why? I like to do all the individual things myself at home. As a hobby chef, I can do all of these things three times better. It's a shame, I don't have to go out to eat either. Where has your desire and passion gone? What I also wanted to mention. We had to hang our jackets out for a day to air out. The next day they smelled extremely like a pub, although we didn't notice it at all in the restaurant.

What does this do to a pure Cevapcici plate?! In addition, the Cevapcici are as tough as rubber...unfortunately not recommended, which is a shame

Been there for the first time after a change of tenant. It's a shame, unfortunately the food doesn't taste good anymore. The rice was so dry, the side salad was covered in ready-made water/yoghurt sauce and the cevapcici didn't taste like anything. It's a shame, we always enjoyed being there, but I don't need that anymore.

That was super tasty! I ordered breaded schnitzel with croquettes and also had a mushroom sauce. Everything tasted fresh and juicy. The sauce was super delicious, perfectly seasoned and creamy - that's how I like it best. PS: The portions were very generous. Great value for money!

We knew the restaurant from before and made this our first choice for our family celebration. We arrived at the restaurant full of anticipation and were greeted very unfriendly. The drinks order was taken 20 minutes after arrival, after another 20 minutes it came and at the same time the food order was taken. 30 minutes later the salad came and then we waited 1.5 hours to get more drinks or food. There was no eye contact, no information about why the food was late or whether it was coming at all. Other guests who came after us had already had their food, so we asked for the bill for the drinks because we didn't want to wait any longer. Even after asking for payment, the waitress was very unfriendly and uncomprehending and didn't want the money for the drinks anymore. Unfortunately, an unpleasant situation that could have been avoided with hospitality and consultation. I can't give a rating for the food, but the service was a complete disaster.

Unfortunately not recommended. We visited this restaurant for a special occasion, but I regret to report that our visit to this restaurant was extremely disappointing. Even the reception was very unfriendly. And we weren't shown to our table. Despite the fact that the restaurant wasn't even full, we had to wait 1 and a half hours for the order. During this waiting time, no one even came to ask us if we wanted something to drink. There was no eye contact between the service staff and us customers. After an hour and a half of waiting, our food still wasn't served. The waiters just stood idly behind the counter and ignored us. Finally we asked for the bill for the drinks, but even that turned out to be difficult because the waitress reacted negatively and no longer wanted the money for the drinks. Given this experience, unfortunately I am unable to rate the food. This restaurant is not worth recommending and I can't understand the good reviews.

Das Essen war eine Katastrophe. Musste mich übergeben und die Bedienung hat überhaupt nicht reagiert. Mich sieht dieses Lokal nicht mehr. Beim Vorbesitzer waren wir 15 Jahre lang begeistert von Essensqualität und Freundlichkeit des Personals.

Leckere Kroatische und Bürgerliche Gerichte. Die Salate auch sehr lecker. Zu den Deserts kann ich noch nichts sagen, da die Grillplatte wirklich viel war. Aber beim nächsten Mal dann, den wir kommen wieder.
